Great olives and salads. Why do they close at 5 pm? Why not 6 pm? People get off work at 5 pm.

New location (for me). Have not been here (or in Madison for years. Thought I would stop in and the food is as good as I remember.

Some of the best lasagna around is available to bake at home from their refrigerator section. Strongly recommend it.

Every time we visit family, the lasagna is a must have. No need to ever make your own when Gino's is available.

Gino's Italian Deli - Meatball sub

There is very little that makes me happier than a perfectly constructed sandwich. I was downright…read moregiddy eating this pastrami sandwich (which was beautiful, too, and sadly I did not snap a picture because I was too excited to eat it! It did not disappoint). Love this no-frills deli with the focus on what's important- amazing bread in perfectly balanced sandwich (and yes, for me that means not a TON of meat but it was satisfying and not meat-heavy. I thought the ratio of bread/cheese/meat was just right). Gino's also has a lot of pasta salad options (I've heard good things about both the Cajun chicken pasta salad and the pesto chicken salad but literally just made two pasta salads for this weekend so I'll have to try those next time). They also have ingredients for pizza in the fridge and pre-made lasagnas, pizzas, and desserts (Tiramisu!!!). It also sounds like they sometimes sell cannoli fresh, made-to-order. Great hidden gem, definitely check it out. I will say, I also got the Italian sub and I was less impressed with the meat/bread/cheese ratio (not enough meat, too much cheese) but that pestrami was chef's kiss. Also we saw a worker on break when we arrived and he was eating the meatball sub-looked incredible but we didn't try it this time (we were eating on the go and that can be tricky with meatballs!)

The store is small with a refrigerated section, a deli counter and some shelves that house a selection of dried goods, olive oils, seasonings, etc. It is not a deli that you would find in a larger city but you gotta take what you can get.

I like this store just because it's bigger than the rest and I love the community that it is in since it's right next to a college District I probably shouldn't have came here while they were doing inventory just because product is boxes were all over the store being put away by staff. They had everything that I would expect to find from the other Willy establishments. Staff and guests here were very friendly and it was easy to shop around and find my groceries. Now, I've never been here during their breakfast hours but I was shocked to learn that they had vegan empanada to go and the hot food section. Prices here are fair on all products though it does pay if you shop here frequently and you are an owner so you pay better prices. Some of the self checkout lines were out of service. Overall, it is a great place to visit and it boasts plenty of parking so that shouldn't be an issue. Easy access to the streets as well as the highway nearby

As always, gotta check that sushi section anytime I stop at pick n save…read more This is the first time I've actually enjoyed sushi from pick n save. A lot of times when I get sushi at any pick n save they are never satisfying. I still get them because I'm desperate for shusi! LOL See photos. The meat was fresh and the taste was great! Only thing that could have been added was cucumber. It was missing the crunch but it still tasted good without it. You can see in the photo that they were very generous with the fish. That's a plus! Definitely going back to get more of this roll.

Produce section used to be great... not its regularly picked over and or just absent. The specialty section used to be the best part of this market - now it's just sort of an odd mishmash of unorganized stuff. Good luck finding an actual check out line... in general there is one open line... you'll otherwise need to go to the self checkout - which mostly doesn't work. The store isn't particularly well kept or clean... which is a turn off in a grocery store. When this was a pick and save it was a bit of a gem... sadly no longer.

My word.... glad this popped up as a recommended place on yelp so now we know they're in town and will visit later today. Look folks, this is a true east coast sub place. I adore that they cook the bacon crisp. No fear of dying from undercooked pork. The meatballs are generous and yessssss.... you've surmised correctly. .. I am writing this review before dining. You know what? Short of a hygiene or cross contaminant issue... they have earned the 5 stars by being part of the chain. I'll update as we visit. The vinegar and cherry pepper relish makes it all worth it. Can't wait to redeem some SHORE POINTS and I'm still getting text alerts from my old preferred place on the coast. I never updated anything but it's worth going * double point days * Tuesday meal deal dates. I don't like bloody meat but suck it up when I just want roast beef. I've even tried a hot sub and don't care that a number of veggies aren't offered but what they got more than makes up for what I'm missing (banana peppers and black olives). No typos were made.
