A true Italian deli. They have amazing sandwiches. My favorite is the veggie. Delicious bread, fresh ingredients and very flavorful. It's an easy order at the counter set up. Besides sandwiches they have many salads and other Italian deli style dishes you can get (huge display window). They also have take and bake lasagna that looks good. Everything is order to-go but they do have some indoor and outdoor seating. In addition to the ordering counter, it's a mini Italian grocery store. I love getting ingredients for homemade pizza here. They have the best sauce and thin ready made crusts. I typically buy a few packs to keep in my freezer. The prices are very reasonable as well. The staff is friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Who knows how long I have been looking at this place when coming home through Maddison Wi so I finally decided to stop and get lunch since it was around 1 ish and I was thinking of stopping. They offer a lot of sandwiches, meals etc etc and take and bake items like pastas, sauces, sausages, etc etc. you get a 6% discount if you pay with cash the sign at the register says. I ordered two small sandwich's to go with one Sicilian and one pastrami because I was going to have one for lunch and one later for dinner. I was shocked when I opened them up to see very thin/little meat on the sandwich's and one thin tomato slice in the middle of the sandwich's. This has got to be the skimpiest sub sandwich's that I can remember getting from a deli, seriously if I wanted a loaf of bread I would have bought a loaf of bread. I feel completely ripped off and like I spent almost $11 for a small loaf of bread, see my pictures please.

We stopped off on our road trip and this little Italian joint did not disappoint. It had a great selection and was very fast service. The food tasted really great too!

This spot is top notch on the sandwich game. I work for a nearby company and will manufacture reasons to go to this side of town on lunch on Tuesdays so I can stop and get this sandwich. They're always quick with service and friendly when I go. The Tuesday Special is a grilled chicken sandwich with a delicious creamy garlic sauce, tomato, green onions and provolone. It's not pretty, it's not fancy, but it's delicious. No joke this is probably my top sandwich in Madison, and at $4.99 the price is RIGHT!

Fabiola's is a gem from all angles. The vibe is cozy, yet lively. I loved the cocktails (esp paloma…read moreand espresso martini) and wonderful food! I came back twice in one week and had the charcuterie board both times. Fridays and Saturdays they have an outside oyster bar. Great vegetarian and gluten free pasta. Don't sleep on the beet salad. It's the best I've ever had-- hope they add it to the regular menu.

I found the event on the Madison Jazz calendar, and it said it was free. We entered the place, sat down, and pulled out our laptops. I asked one of the workers if they were serving food tonight, and he politely told me that they were not and that Leopold's might have some charcuterie boards if we were hungry. We said our thanks and continued studying while the music played in the background. About 15 minutes later, a different worker (who I later discovered was the owner), wearing a grey suit and ivy hat, angrily told us that we needed to buy something or leave. I was going to get up and buy something, but before I could, the man told us quote "This isn't a f*****g study hall," and "you have to buy something or leave." I was so shocked I couldn't even say anything back. I told my friend that this place does not need our business after being talked to like that, so we left. Now I totally understand needing to buy something at a place of business to stay there and study and wanting your tables to be used for paying guests, but getting mad and swearing at 19-year-old college kids who were quietly studying, enjoying the music, and giving no attitude back was uncalled for, especially when there were plenty of open tables next to us. The way he handled the situation made us never want to do business there ever. There was even another F bomb mixed into what he said, but I can't remember the exact words. If he politely told us that we needed to buy something, then we would have. It's crazy to think that you would get business from people after swearing at them like that. It is really unfortunate that our first impression of the place had to be so negative because I was actually looking forward to eating at this place more often because of all the good things I've heard. I was told such good things about this place. The atmosphere seemed really nice, and I don't know how good the food is because I don't want to eat at a place where the owner treats people like scum.

I arrived with a huge appetite and ordered the purple sticky rice, crispy pork belly, papaya salad, and eggrolls. I was absolutely blown away. The pork belly was easily some of the best I've ever had; the skin was incredibly crunchy, and the meat just melted in my mouth. It paired perfectly with the hot pepper sauce on the side. Top-tier food and wonderful service! Awesome and generous owners!
