Yum, this was one of my favorite meals while visiting Bodega Bay for a week! We came on the late side so it wasn't a long wait for us at all. The woman at the window was so friendly and nice. They have outdoor seating which is obviously great to keep the 'rona away. There's wine to enjoy as well. But let's get to the food, shall we? //Clam & Scallop Chowder: We tried 5 different chowders while in the area and Ginochio's tied for first place. I loved the addition of scallops and the flavor and texture was good. //Crab sandwich: Yum! The buttery delicious grilled sourdough caresses a decent portion of crab meat and is pulled together with melty cheese. Two thumbs up and I am now a crab sandwich convert (previously I only wanted crab cakes cause everything is better fried...only I was wrong cause this rocked and I need more). //Pork Ribs: Man the bbq gods must have been shining down on me because this was the best ribs I've had in a longgggg time. The meat wasn't fall off the bone, but it was so tender and juicy. The rub was good, but I'm a sauce kinda girl and I was happy to slather these ribs with them. //Beans: It wasn't hard to talk ourselves into adding tri-tip to the beans. BEST DECISION EVER. There is no table service so I had to order at a window and pickup my food when ready, just like a fast food restaurant. I was charged $82 for 3 sandwiches and two sodas. I wanted to see how much the sandwiches were but they don't have prices posted anywhere. The place is OK but it's not as impressive as other reviewers paint it. We drove an hour for their bacon breakfast burrito. We first had it 2 years ago and since then we've been hooked. Some people come to the area for seafood ( which we do too) but save a little room for this burrito and you will not be disappointed. Jody from Boston helped us with our order. Holy smokes- I have never in my life had a better pulled pork sandwich!! The BBQ sauce is something my husband and I want to try to replicate! They forgot to put that (and the slaw) in the bag when we ordered so when we came back to get it, not only did they upgrade the slaw but they gave us a complimentary bag of local pumpkin spice toffee just to make up for it. The lady was very very nice, the view amazing. They are keeping up on COVID safety regulations (much appreciated). Good view. Good place to be on a sunny day looking at the bay! Plus wine is right next door ! We got there around 2pm. Not a long line. Altho we did wait 45 mins just for some fish tacos and a brisket sando. They were busy in the kitchen I suppose but it was ok bc we had drink from next door and just enjoyed being outside. They cleaned the tables before we sat and everyone working had a mask. The bathrooms were dirty there tho. They had no TP and they changed it to one bathroom for all rather then male/female. I hope it goes back to how it was once covid dies down a bit more. The tacos were good. Tasted fresh. We also got monkey bread last minute. I think it will taste btr heated up. We were really looking forward to splitting a brisket breakfast burrito, and unfortunately didn't notice until we arrived at our picnic spot that we were given a bacon burrito instead. It was just ok. I wasn't stoked about paying $13 for a medium-sized, mediocre burrito that wasn't even the one we ordered. We also ordered the monkey bread, which is the reason for the three-star review. That was soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and really tasty. This place is amazing!! We called in to place a to go order for breakfast and Jodi answered the phone and You could just tell how warm and friendly she was! We drove to pick up the food and I was greeted by Jodi at the window. Again- so nice! She got our food out to us and saw our dogs in the car. She invited us to sit outside so she could meet our pups. The crab sandwich with havarti cheese was a rip at $26 + $4.69 (generous) tip...I got a grilled white bread sandwich...and some chips (no salsa, nothing). Cruising around Bodega Bay I found this nice little Bayside Restaurant. Breakfast and barbecue are the only things I've ever tried here although they do have pasta also. This particular day I decided on a little barbecue. Ordered a pound of brisket with a side of potato salad and coleslaw. The brisket was fire, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Coleslaw and potato salad were excellent accompaniments. Was pretty busy in the place I took my items to go,took about 10 minutes in total time. Outdoor and indoor seating available here. Both areas are very comfortable and enjoyable. Probably 15 maybe 16 tables in total. Tons of options on the menu something to please everyone cool place to stop when you're in the Bodega Bay Area definitely will be back to try something else on the menu next time I'm in town. read more

Ate lunch here today. My wife had the clam chowder. My mom and I both had the brisket sandwich with the potato salad. We all had the monkey bread. My wife liked her clam chowder. I thought it was only satisfactory. It needed something more. It was a little basic. The brisket was a little dry but tasty. It needed more barbeque sauce to make it moister. The sauce had too much vinegar in it for my taste. The meat was cold too. It would have been much better had it been hot. The bread was OK but nothing great. The onion, lettuce, and tomato on the sandwich were fine. The potato salad was simple but pretty good. The monkey bread was good, but it has bacon on it and that didn't go well with the sweet flavors. I think it would have been better without the bacon. The service was excellent. All of the staff were very friendly. The bathrooms were very clean and nice. There were some good views of the bay too. Prices were very high ($$$). For example, a small botter of water (that costs 25 cents at Costco) was $2.50. Our out of pocket expenses for the meal was close to $60. I'm not sure I'd come back here again. Went to Bodega Bay to get takeaway from Ginochios we got the 1# brisket and the small clam chowder. I'll start with the clam chowder which Loaded with flavor and clams. It was creamy and chunky at the same time we really enjoyed it. It was $10 for I would say a 16-ounce to go container , which I think is pretty steep. The Brisket was cooked with a perfect amount of smoke. It was tender and they gave plenty of burnt end pieces. It really was delicious and I would order that again for sure. The staff was very pleasant and it was nice to sit in their parking lot in our car and eat while enjoying a nice view during the Covid shelter in place. read more

My biggest gripe though is that we came here because yelp said there are plenty of vegetarian options and there is not! Our breakfast burritos were amazing!!! I had the steak and hubby had the brisket. They were huge. Their service is wonderful and they have clean restrooms. Their coffee is so good & hot! This is a great place for breakfast if you want to be satisfied and full !! I noticed they also have bakery items to purchase also.
