The restaurant is away from tourist neighbor. But I suspect its target customers are tourists…read more They play American pop music all night long which is fine with me, but if you are looking for a local experience, this may not what you expected. Pastries de Bacalhau - the crust was not brown enough. May be longer time. The stuffing was flavorful but it's more the cod taste than the flavored mash potatoes which I prefer. I actually prefer the other local restaurant I tried the night before better. Caldo Verde - The potatoe part of the soup is great. Perfect viscosity but the flavor is not. It wasn't salty enough but more importantly is the flavor of the veggies and the spicy sausage they supposed to use that makes the soup taste different. Grilled giant pawns - The flavor of the prawns is not as intense as expected and hope to be. The squid ink pasta also lacked of flavor. That's disappointing. With the prawns, they should at least use the prawn shell to make sauce for the pastas. The pasta was tasteless, didn't even use enough garlic and olive oil to flavor it up. Seafood rice - Another disappointment. They used fish, small mussels and little bit of shrimp pieces along with some bigger whole shrimps and mussels. However, the rice was lack of the true seafood flavor that made from shell fish. They also added cilantro which overwhelmed the whatever left of seafood flavor. The lemonade was not a sweet lemonade but sour. Fyi. It's not fair we just went to another restaurant in the neighborhood and everything was so much better but people should know.

Our no. 1 fave : Horse mackerel in citrus sauce - dish was full of refreshing citrus flavor and dashi 2nd fave : smoked grilled pork leg in pumpkin foam w chestnuts. It's yummy and beautifully executed dish . Perfectly created dish bec of different textures that pleases my palate. 3rd fave : beef rib confit burger. Beef was very tender and does not have filler or gravy, topped w an egg. sweet potato chips on side. Meat tasted clean, not too salty , can actually taste the meat . Dessert: lived this not too sweet dessert, bursting flavor if passion fruit and Algarve orange. Was great to share among 3 people

Watching the chefs in their element preparing the dishes was so cool; for such a tight space, they were a well-oiled machine. Here were my favorites: 1. The tomato soup with egg. So, so simple, with only two main ingredients, but perfectly executed. I'll need to try making this at home with the immersion blender. 2. Pan con tomato with jamón ibérico. I'm sitting here writing this review and crying a little on the inside that we in the States don't have such easy access to quality ingredients to make such a stand-out dish. Grilled bread, tomato spread, and the best jamón I've ever tasted. This was an order we added at the very end and I'm glad we did. 3. The sweet rice pudding with cinnamon ice cream and toasted rice krispies on top. I was almost too full to function by this point but still made room to demolish this dessert. We also got the grouper stew, which was pretty good, but at that point, I had basically gotten the same dish multiple times and this one didn't particularly stand out. Definitely make reservations! There are two seats on the street but I personally wouldn't want to sit there as there's a ton of foot traffic in the area (plus the cars drive pretty close too so you're also breathing in fumes and exhaust). A perfect dinner in Lisbon: oysters at Rosamar one street over and then some tapas and drinks at Tapisco.

The tapas are innovative, flavorful but true to both Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. Our favorites tonight were the tuna tartare, mussels, roasted pork with purred eggplant and veggies. The sauce on the mussels was excellent and we enjoyed it on the simple bread. Nice wine list. Impeccable spice profile and friendly responsive staff.

I ended up ordering the Huitlacoche tacos while my family ordered a set of chicken tacos and a side of arroz verde. Servers were very helpful and our food came out fast! The huitlacoche was quite tasty! Think mushroom flavor, surrounded by a cheese crusted tortilla. I enjoyed it way more than I thought. My parents like their chicken tacos but we were all disappointed by the rice, which could have been cooked a bit longer. Overall though, not the worst tacos I've had in my life. Would recommend if you're looking for something familiar!

I thought that was for sure it until I discovered them in Porto as well. These guys primarily sell one thing, and it's the same everywhere. Clearly they like their formula. Obviously, I had the pasteis de nata. Curiously, at this location specifically, they refuse to sell a single one and instead sell in groups of two. This one was not my favorite. The pastry shell does have a good crispness and flakiness to it, but the problem is the inside is just way too sweet. The custard is just sickly sweet - such that it simply doesn't work with the egg flavor. It seems to be a problem unique to this chain, as I haven't noticed this sweetness anywhere else. Overall, I would look elsewhere for pastel de nata. 5/10

I'm gonna say that our lunch at A Cevicheria probably was one of the best meals that we had during…read moreour short stay in Lisbon. Just a heads up: Although the restaurant has a outdoor section, that section is more of a waiting section since they do not have lunch/dinner service in that section (as of August 2026). With four groups (2-3 people) in front us, we only had to wait about 20 minutes to get a couple of spots at the bar. However, we efficiently used that time by having a bottle of wine and enjoying the sights (particularly of the Hippo tour buses) while we waited. Another heads up: From our understanding, the restaurant does not accept reservations, so it might be best 1. to dine here for lunch (less of a wait) and 2. to keep your party small (3-4 people). For our dining pleasure, the two of us went with the Selección Cevichera, which included six courses for about 87 euros. Although this meal came with six courses, some might think that the portion sizes are "small". However, I thought it was pretty decent deal (from a tourist's POV). The tasting menu included 1) prawn croquettes, 2) tuna belly with a passionfruit and basil (I think) sauce, 3) tuna and beets (very yummy), 4) Atlantic sea bass, 5) dulce de leche & lime. Oh, crap, I forgot something. Oh well. From top to bottom, all of our courses were absolutely delicious. I think my favorite was the tuna and beets dish. While everything was amazing, I thought the serving of prawn croquettes was way too small. Since we sat at the bar, we had the chance to see the chefs perform their beautiful magic of preparing the food and placing them on the plates in such an elegant fashion. Our server, who I think was also the manager, was absolutely wonderful and quite funny. Someone should bottle his energy and personality because he contributed to making our meal an absolute delight. The ambiance was very inviting, even with the huge octopus hanging from the ceiling. The restaurant is a bit on the small side, which I think adds to its intimate charm. Like I mentioned earlier, it might be best to keep your party size from 1 to 4 people. I assume that a dinner party of more than folks would lead to an extended period of waiting. All in all, I would gladly like to repeat my experience at A Cevicheria during a future Lisbon visit.

All the dishes were delicious and drool worthy. Seafood was very fresh and tasty. Not the cheapest meal in Portugal, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and would come back. Staff was super friendly and kindly explained the different parts of the menu so we could better decide what to order. The interior is bright, not too many seats, but there's a giant octopus hanging from the ceiling. Definitely recommend giving them a try if you're in the area and like seafood!

Two levels with open, high ceilings. The hostess and waitstaff are all very friendly. Seating is tight for two tops. There's an open kitchen which is always a nice touch. We shared three plates. The scallop sashimi, the green curry with assorted fish with a side dish of rice and slivered almonds and the tempura octopus with panko. All the dishes were good. The scallop was missing a bit of acid. The octopus was cooked very well. The green curry a bit underwhelming. By the time we left, the restaurant was packed.
