I didn't want to give this establishment 5 stars because of the higher price compared to other great viet restaurants in the area. My overall experience pushed it from four stars to five. Food - Free small bowl of beer nuts, yum. Yes, free. They're seasoned with sweet ginger and salted garlic. Not sure why, but there was a nice, welcomed spice to them. You can also purchase these for $1.99 if you want more or some to go. The server asked us what we wanted to drink (which is different from regular pho stores), I said tea. I don't know if this is complementary, but it's the same green tea that normally comes to your table at most other pho restaurants. I'll make sure to check my bill next time. Pho only comes in small and large sizes. The prices are higher than other pho restaurants in the area. However, it's a price I'm happy to pay since you get the "free" peanuts and the place is so clean. The pho here is good. We both got size small (pho dac biet) and felt the portions were correct & veggies came plentiful. He also brought me extra lime as soon as I asked. The noodles and meat were good. The only thing I didn't care for was all the raw onion in the pho (I picked some out). One other thing is that I like my broth smoking hot. It was hot, but not really smoking/steaming hot. A small bowl of pho dac biet was more than $7, but less than $8. 2 Spring rolls served on a couple pieces of lettuce with some carrots and nuoc mam to dip. You could tell the oil they fried these in were fresh which made for a good spring roll. Again, a little pricey since it came with 2, but good enough that I'll probably order it again. Service - Always good and friendly. They take your order instead of you having to write it down. Checked up on us once during our meal which was nice even though we didn't need anything. Brought everything out quickly. I like their staff. Cleanliness - 5 out of 5, reallyyy clean. Really, really clean; which is rare for a pho place. You can bring your non-Asian friends here without them questioning your choice of shady restaurant. Also had enough parking spots to accommodate customers. Final thoughts - Although it is a bit pricier here, it doesn't bother me thaaat much. It would bother me less if pho con bo wasn't in the area. But on cold days that I'm feeling bummy and don't want to bump into anyone at pho con bo, I'll definitely be coming here. Which is likely how I'll be feeling a lot. The flavour was pretty good but not amazing. The portions were decent but not for the price. The rice came out on a huge plate. Plate which made it seem very little. The pork chop was so thin, but wasn't too dry. The rice was over cooked almost had a congee texture. The tofu egg was a sliver. And the "bi" wasnt bad. Overall the food wasn't bad, but can use alot of improvements. Portions need to be bigger, for the price you pay; since I can go down the street pay the same or less and get a lot more. This place I would say is catered to more of a western crowd. But as a Vietnamese person I probably wouldn't go back. Because I think it's overpriced for what you get. My girl and I are giving this place a solid 3, we ordered take out on a Saturday night, and this place is the cleanest Pho joint that we have ever been to. She ordered the Chicken Noodle soup and I ordered the Oxtail Noodle Soup. The chicken noodle soup was okay, it was a bit salty but overall it was decent. The Oxtail soup had plenty of flavour, and a crap load of fat, the oxtail was so chewy, it was like a chew chew train. I took out all of the oxtail and left it on the side because it honestly grossed me out. We also ordered a rice dish with shrimp, chicken, and beef with some broccoli and sliced carrots, also an additional fried spring roll. The shrimp and chicken were dry af, the beef was decent, and the broccoli was pretty good, I didn't really bother with the carrots. The spring roll that it came with was delicious. Also we got the fresh shrimp spring rolls which were nice, it came with this brown sweet sauce to dip it with, decent flavour I know it may be different eating there and having take out, its totally different, so this is based off of the take out experience. Service: Went on a day that the AC was broken (during summer time) but the owner who directed us to a table at the very corner refused to open the windows. However, the staffs were very nice and friendly. Ordered a giant bowl of Pho to share between 2 and we could not finish it. What a challenge. Quality: drinks were good (avocado smoothie and Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk). Pho was below average, the broth was lukewarm. I ordered a large, Rare beef pho from *Uber eats. Surprisingly it came with beef balls (which I have never seen), fat, and some seafood-type white thing I thought to be squid. I have to give them props for authenticity and including all of this, but I just wanted a rare beef pho. Regardless, I quite enjoyed the broth after I added hot sauce and all the provided garnishes. (It was slightly separated with particles compared to other broths I've had). As of this writing the place looks good (recent new opening) and clean. I came here specifically for the ginormous bowl of pho for $40. We had 3 adults and 2 kids and still couldn't finish it. We probably could have had one more adult to finish it. The portion was really good, you got a variety of items that come with the pho : tripe, onions, green onions, rare beef, flank beef, etc... I enjoyed the thickness and texture of the noodles and liked the fact that we were provided with long chopsticks, a laddle, individual spoons and such with no hesitation. We didn't get to order the large bowl, but did order their pho and spicy seafood noodle soup. The first thing I noticed was that almost all of their beef was laced with chemicals. I'm okay with a little chemicals but when pieces of beef are displaying all the colours of the rainbow then I'm a little concerned. My biggest mistake was eating some of the pho before I realized it. Shortly after, both my fiancé and I got food poisoning. Ginger Pho was the last place where we both ate together and after a while too, so it couldn't have been anything else but that. Decided to try the worlds largest pho after seeing it featured on BlogTO and the size portion did not disappoint. It was a large 16 inch bowl that serves 1-4 people. When we walked in, there was a table of two gentlemen that each had one for themselves which was crazy! My friends and I decided to share one and could not even finish it! For $40 you get a lot of noodles and a variety of meat (beef, tendon, beef balls, etc). As expected, with such big portions it is hard to make a really good broth due to them making big batches constantly and some of the beef for a little dry and chewy. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that they refuse to put my rare beef on the side of my pho so I can put it in myself. I find when the kitchen puts it in the "rare beef" is actually quite well done by the time it reached the table at any restaurant. This place I went to craving Vietnamese food, pulled in the building and space looks great but the customer service was short and abrupt, I seen people leaving with a strange look to them. I ordered the pork chop on rice and asked for it well done, after a long wait of 20 mins, I received the food open it up and found the pork looked undercooked, also found weird that she poured the fish sauce on the meal for me instead of me doing it by myself, I took one bite and was super disappointed. It was the grocers most disgusting piece of meat I ever had in my life, I tried to eat the rice with it to mask the flavour which somehow reminded me of sewage. I couldn't bear how nasty this tasted I asked them to give me another meal, which I never do. She dismissed me and told me to hold on being on the phone, I didn't want to bother and I just left the food there.
