Came here to eat but did not get our food! Hubby got his soup which came out right away but our entrees never made it to our table. No one checked up on us, we had to wave someone down and they hadn't even made our orders. The couple next to us came in after us and had already gotten and ate their food. No one apologized either! read more

Awful confused staff. Cheapest sake $45. Was lectured on how dim sum is always just an appetizer after I said I wanted it as main course after soup which came in huge bowl with tiny empty bowl on the side and very tiny porcelain spoon. No way to transfer to small bowl and they announced no big spoons like everyone should know this. Small spoon dropped to bottom of large bowl after every sip. Out of all $10 wines, only $25 wines available. Horrible experience!! Manager prance around arrogantly. read more

Song is the best server, the lobster was really good!!! Best ive ever had. The lettuce wraps, and soups were to die for. Scenery is nice as well not to mention the casino afterward. read more

I'm here eating at Ginger. I really enjoy the food here but today, I had the worst service by what I assume was a manager. I ordered my usual Tom Yum Kha Soup, Green Curry with chicken and Shrimp, and the nice waitress told me about a refreshing ginger cocktail. I asked for a side of wide rice noodles which I usually eat with my green curry. So the the person brings out the wrong noodles, I send them back then the manager comes and return the same noodles. I explained to her that's not what I ordered, she tells me well it would be 10 additional bucks for just plain noodles. I look at her and tell her if I were concerned about cost, I would not come to the restaurant, but since you want to insult my character, I no longer want them. She was rude, unprofessional and perceived to be insulting, since she is the manager. Her name was Jane Lin! I'm never eating here again and shame on MGM for the service they have provided. I don't even want to eat my food now. I'm taking it to go. I'm pissed!! read more

RUDE. Tried to put a reservation and said we didn't need to since we were already there so went to be seated was told either wait over an hour or I should have had a reservation. Then was scolded on how their reservations number was downWHEN I HAD JUST TALKED TO SOMEONE ON THE PHONE IT!!!Mind you people that weren't on any wait ahead of us were seated and right after we were turned away another couple that weren't on any list were automatically seated. And the person I talked was rude. I was simply asking a question and was not only turned away WHEN OVER HALF THE RESTAURANT WAS CLEARED the person gave me a messed up attitude like I wasn't good enough to eat there. As a restaurant chef with the degree and experience to prove it I would never do that to a guest. I'm surprised they would allow this. read more

Very good food. Went here before a show & service was excellent. Food came out really fast. Selections aren't out of the ordinary or too exotic. Very nice restaurant & you can people watch. Finished it off with ginger ice cream. It cleansed the palate & I left feeling full & ready for an evening of fun! read more

Me and my wife we tried this restaurant last night and both got food poisoning. Basically you can get the same food in your local Chinese buffet and it will be five times cheaper. Awful experience. read more

I went to Ginger at the MGM National Harbor tonight for a birthday party. And like most of the other reviews the wait for our food was so unacceptable. We waited for almost an hour and half for our food. Not to mention the choppy and inconsistent service. And one of the head scratchers about this place is that your food comes without rice. You have to order and pay for rice separately. Rest assured I will not return any time soon. Once they have a chance to address the issues I will try them again, in a year or so. read more

One of the few restaurants in the MGM casino national harbor. Actually enjoyed the meal. First off the service was great and one of the fastest meals I've ever had. 6 pm seating and main course served by 6:20. Recommend the panang which was spicy and the three cups chicken if you like ginger. read more

Not one to leave review but after my First time visiting the East, Maryland, and MGM National Harbor all in one. I have to say I landed upon what you would call a hidden gem. Ginger definitely goes down in my book as the most authentic and amazing Chinese food I've ever had. And in Texas we have plenty of Chinese restaurant but nothing like Ginger. The food speaks for itself but the service was spectacular. I'm a front house manager at a restaurant/Bar myself so to experience the same hospitality at Ginger was very soothing. We were first greeted by Ginger's manager Steven, which took his time to go through the menu and helped provided us with whatever we needed with top notch service (knowing that my group was all out of town). Also give a shout-out to all the waiter/waitresses who helped made our night a spectacular night. I highly recommend anyone who visit the MGM National Harbor to come eat at Ginger if you're looking for good authentic Chinese food and 5 star service (if only they have a 6 star option this is one place I would give 6 star). read more

Service was ok. Waitress is non existent. Guys in a grayish suits worked harder than the waitress here. Let me tell you about the food. Its beyond terrible!! It feels like your eating bag of salt for every bite. Only two stars for the nice interior and for the manager in suits. read more

My friend and I ate here and our bill came up to $150 for sea bass of my friend, my salad and fried tofu only. Aside from our server another waitress came up and seems in a hurry to clean up our table. I told her I want to take my untouched food out. We were waiting but she never came back. She threw our take out away. I will never eat here again. read more

This was my first time here at the MGM and at Ginger and it is my new favorite place! You have to come here and make sure you ask for Song!! Song is the best waitress we have ever had and we are hard to please. There were 6 of us and each and every one of us enjoyed Song so much. Ginger and Song thank you so much for showing us a great time and great food . read more

To put in some words: Average food which is super pricey. Entrees cost more than $25 and they are not worth it.I think the only reason people go here is when they go to Casino and they end up eating here. read more

I've dined here several times and have always been pleased and happy with the food and service but tonight our waitress, Minzhi, made this night out with my granddaughter unforgettable. My Wife and I had reservations at 5PM on 12 Feb for our Anniversary dinner. We have been coming to Ginger for years now, but mainly on Saturdays for Dim Sum prior to the pandemic. This was dinner time on a Saturday so it was busy. None the less we were greeted at the front desk by a lovely lady who acknowledged our reservation and promptly wished us a "Happy Anniversary". We asked to be seated in the outside atrium area and were promptly seated. We were then greeted by "Minzhi" our server. She was fantastic. She wished us a "Happy Anniversary" and promptly asked if we would care for something to drink. My Wife ordered the Yamazaki 12yr. and I ordered an Asahi Super Dry 20oz. Minzhi was informed by the bar staff that they were out of the Yamazaki 12yr. and she promptly substituted with the Hakushu 12yr. at no extra charge. It is this type of service and attention to detail that we both appreciated. We ordered the Vietnamese Spring Rolls, which are deep fried and have pork/shrimp and wood ear mushrooms, served with a vinegar sauce and a side of julienned radish. A perfect appetizer. Then for our mains we ordered the Beef Pho and Wonton Soup with a side of Garlic Pea Leaves. Everything was outstanding. Minzhi and the other servers were so attentive and plates when empty were quickly cleared to make room on the table. Later, the manager and Minzhi approached our table with a couple of complimentary Champagne fruit drinks, wishing us again a "Happy Anniversary". It is this type of professional and attentive service that is missing from a lot of places we go to these days, with good experienced help being difficult to find. Minzhi is the exception to all that. She takes her years of professional experience in the hospitality arena and brings added value to Ginger. Thanks to all the staff at Ginger for an excellent dining experience! read more

Glitz and glamour is all you will get for your money here. The food is just average at best. We have eaten all over the world and had roasted duck many times and the duck here was average. We met up with a friend and she had ordered and we are still not sure if she even seen the prices they were asking for the duck. At $78, casino or no casino, it should have been phenomenal. The place is really nice and the service is really good, and I hate to be harsh, but this is P.F. Chang's quality, at 5X the price. read more

2nd time visiting Ginger and my wings were under cooked. Check your wings before you eat!!!

We have been back to Ginger now a few times (weekdays for lunch) and am happy to update that the staffing and service issues were, for us, addressed during our visits. We were seated promptly and the waiter/waitress was attentive (not fast but attentive so plan on a leisurely meal). Ginger also added a few draft selections to the menu since our first visit, which I appreciate. We ordered, crispy noodles, red curry with duck, Taiwan beef noodle soup, green curry, crab soup, and roast duck during our visits. We found all but the roast duck to be excellent. Please note, the duck during our visit was not bad; it was just not as good in terms of the price (my opinion). We look forward to our next visit to Ginger and hope the staff maintain the quality of service. read more

SOLID 3.5 Not sure why this place has such a bad rating. I've heard so many bad things about this place but I really wanted to give it a try on my own. We came in on Friday evening. It wasn't too busy. We checked in at the host stand. Asked for a table for 2 plus a baby. She said it would be about 5 minutes to get our table ready. We were promptly seated. Our server was friendly and answered all my questions. I was craving for pan fried noodles but I didn't like what was listed on the menu so she accommodated us and topped it with my preference. We had ordered the kalbi first hoping it would come out first to feed the baby. I guess we hadn't communicated that with her properly because they didn't bring it out until all our food was ready. We ordered the salt and pepper lobster. When it came out it was so large the bf actually thought I ordered more than one. Once we got through bill it made more sense. It was $128. But it was so so good. One of the best lobsters I've had in a very long time. The pan fried noodles were crispy the stir fry mixture on top consisted of beef, mushrooms, carrots, bok choy. It was well seasoned and added a nice flavoring to the noodles. The kalbi was a little on the bland side. It wouldn't be my first choice if something to order again but my son normally likes to eat it so we choose it. Potstickers are ok. Lettuce wraps were decent. Drunken noodle a little on the salty side and a little lacking in the Thai spices it's normally cooked in. Sea bass nope. The sauce just didn't work for it. I wouldn't order it again. The salt and pepper squid nope. Not flavorful at all. Just tasted like fried squid. The beef chow fun was very good. The wonton noodle soup was delicious. Noodles had a very good texture. Almost like handpulled noodles. Even tbe wontons were delicious. They were a little slow on the water and beer refills but other than that service was good. We were satisfied with food portions. And prices are what you can expect to get in a casino. Yea it's a little pricey but your in a casino if you have an issue with thier pricing go eat outside the casino. I'm sure we will be back to try out thier other dishes. read more

The highlight of our visit! We just stopped in for a quick bite and were transported on an exotic trip full of culinary wonders. A bit much? I know but that is the only way to explain it. We had know idea where to start on the menu full of fancy, over priced choices that sounded good individually, but were a mystery combined. Our server Tim was an excellent guide. Each recommendation came with a carefully crafted explanation that evoked powerful imagery which had us salivating with anticipation. He is truly an asset to the restaurant!! There is nothing more annoying than going to a high end restaurant and having the server help you to guess what a dish MIGHT taste like based on the poetic description. In addition to his instinctive love of food, Tim explained that they are well trained to be knowledgeable about their fare. Everything exceeded our expectations! read more

We've been a regular customer at this place it's always a hit or missed the service is sometimes good some times is really horrible but this time they screw up big time I order 3 order of general cho's chicken after driving back home for 1hr 1/2 to eat our food they screw up my order they got me 2 order of spicy general cho's with heavy sauce & 1 not spicy with no sauce I called the manager name Steven his response is we're so busy right now call in 2 hrs and I'll look into the receipt then when I called back after 2 1/2 hours I spoke to him and sent him the picture showing literally the difference between the 2 order his response is that's in possible that they make 2 spicy & 1 not spicy because they cook them at the same time how can you not tell the difference of what I show you and still insist they cook at the same time when you can tell 1 is completely different and had a decency to tell me could you bring the food so I can see it what kind of manager is that they want me to hold the food until how ever long to bring it to them just to prove it that they screw up and not have a decency to own up to it what a horrible horrible customer service. read more

If you have been to the MGM or any nice hotel in Vegas this is not it. The restaurant was very average but given the prices it was disappointing. I had to ask for a spoon, that should not happen. I would not go back to the hotel or the restaurant. Staff was fine and the food would be acceptable if it wasnt $150 for three people. If it had been $60-$70 then the food would have been in step with the price but it was not a $150 meal. I was VERY disappointed with the MaPo Tofu, I love it when its done right but what I was served was not good. I ate 5% of what they gave me and nobody asked or cared that it was basically untouched. In a quality restaurant they would ask if there was a problem or if I want something else, they however did what happens in a poorly run restaurant, they did nothing. read more

Located in the new MGM complex, this restaurant sits beneath the bright and open main atrium. Our hostess, Cecilia, was very kind and accomodating. She proposed some nice options. I really enjoyed the jasmine tea and my main course - The Cantonese Duck. Very tender meat, served with rice and sweet sauce on the side, and of a generous portion, I was very pleased. We found the prices to be a little bit expensive, but the service and food were swell. read more

Where do I start ... I was very excited to visit MGM and looking forward to dinner inside MGM. We saw ginger and walked up to the hostess booth, no one spoke for several minutes and acted as if we weren't there. I asked the lady for a table for 4 and she said she would go check for availability ... 10 min later I asked another hostess where were they at with our table and they didn't have a clue what I was talking about, they asked if she had a reservation... I said no , that the other lady was suppose to check on a table but never came back. The male hostess states , we have a table as long as you eat within and 1hour and a half. .. I informed him that depended on his service . After you sit you don't have one designated server, they float around so we had 3 different people try to take our order. I am a big Thai and sushi fanatic and the food here is very bland and cheaply made. I would not recommend the pad Thai , it has no flavor and is not good pad Thai. My son had the sesame chicken and he said it was ok, my daughter had the Penang curry and ended up asking to return it for something else. My recommendation is to go to national harbor and eat there first or eat the MGM food court. The meals are over priced and not worth it at ginger read more

Had a great dinner last night, pre Jim Gaffigan. We did have to wait a good 30 minutes for a table, but once in we had a very good experience. Tammy was our server, and she was a pro at handling all of our dinner special requests. One vegetarian and none vegan- we were taken good care of. She even called over the manager to make sure all was good. Our 2 veggies and tofu dishes were delicious. I'd definitely go back. Thanks, Tammy! read more

The last 3 times I've gone to MGM I ate at Ginger! I would suggest making a reservation because sometimes the line can be long but other than that the service and food were great!!
