Song was my server and she was very attentive. Very nice to customers. I request her section every time I come.

Ginger must have upped their game since they opened a couple weeks ago. The service was outstanding. We were greeted politely, the order was taken quickly, and the food came within reasonable amount of time. The food is delicious, authentic chinese/asian food. Unfortunately, americans may struggle to appreciate the food because it is not the standard sweet and oily american chinese food... read more

Expensive, but again, you get what you pay for! My favorite is crab fried rice. The wings are nasty though... don't waste your money.

Just having a family lunch at GINGER on Sunday!!What an awesome experience, food and drink are all really nice, our server Connie is so attentive and friendly, great services. After the lunch we tried the mochi, then we exchange the Xmas gift, we will definitely go back again!! read more

Ehh, there was a lot left to be desired. For the price point of this restaurant, the quality and variety should be loads better. The seating is not very intimate at all, we made reservations and we still go seated outside the restaurant with a front row seat to the building engineers taking down the Christmas decor and the very large and loud crowd bustling around. Not very nice ambiance for a birthday dinner. For drinks, I ordered a Moscow mule which wasn't the worst I've ever had, and I ordered a glass of single malt Nikka for my boyfriend to try for the first time. Now for a $20 shot, it needs to be served in the proper glass, with the proper ice cube (SINGULAR). His arrived in a large chalice with another large chalice of several standard ice cubes, unacceptable! We got seaweed salad and edamame for our appetizer. The seaweed salad was satisfactory but didn't seem like it warranted the price tag for it, it seemed like something you get at any regular sushi cafe for a lunch special. The garlic edamame was tasteless, there was fried garlic on top but it didn't add any flavor and was quite pointless. A simple salt on the outside would have been a lot better. Also, we wanted spring rolls but we just wanted shrimp, not the pork. Looking at the menu it may seem as if you can customize these things, you would be wrong. It is all pre-made so you can only get shrimp and pork together. So if you don't eat pork than your appetizer selections are limited. For our entrees, we got shrimp and broccoli and the sea bass, it said it was pan-seared on the menu but they don't cook it that way anymore. You can only get it steamed or deep fried. My boyfriend chose deep-fried. Neither were very good to me, the shrimp and broccoli was ehh kind of mediocre for the price point. The shrimp most definitely was not fresh and was overcooked and a bit slimy. The seabass which was $35 was DEFINITELY NOT FRESH. It was slimy and was not fileted properly, there were still rather large spine bones and other bones in the filet. It was dipped in a tempura batter and flash fried. So it was undercooked and tasteless, definitely not a $35 piece of fish nor was it presented as such. Just a flash fried piece of fish on a white platter with some like a green garnish. I literally cannot shake my head enough it was a very disappointing meal. The best part of this meal was the $7 seaweed salad. In all honesty, this is just your regular Chinese takeout spot that you can find on several corners in DC it just so happens to be inside the MGM with an okay seating area. I've had better take out at the Full Yum on North Capital street than what was served to me at this restaurant. I would not recommend it to anyone, try one of the other places at the MGM, and if you just want chinese food, order delivery. read more

This place was overpriced, Pan-Asian trash. The food was gross, had no flavor, and crazy overpriced. Their only saving grace was that they gave free ice cream to celebrate a birthday. Please don't come here. It isn't worth it. Honestly, Panda Express is better than this place. read more

My first time eating at ginger the food is good the people are good i like the manager Steven he help me with all kinds of food that ginger has and i will be back thank you read more

I am giving it 1-star because the staff were very good. The food and drinks were bland and over priced. I also felt like the food was coming out too fast ... Entree appeared before we even got half way through our apps. Decor, as a whole for the MGM, is gaudy and cheap looking. read more

song is a very good worker i appreciate the good service she provided and the restaurant is a nice spot in the mgm i love coming here

I had a belated birthday dinner here with some friends and it was pretty good. The steak was delicious and everything is overall pretty good but I personally don't like the hot pot because it always seems overcooked nor do I like the fried rice that much because it's a bit bland. My waitress was Song, who hooked us up and treated us so well! Her recommendations were great and we never had to flag her down because she was always checking up on us. One of the better restaurants inside MGM, possibly my favorite. read more

OVERPRICED $$$$ and Lies!!! First, the atmosphere and viewing to the decorated atrium is EXCELLENT!!! The food is just OVERPRICED (lunch) and staff (Anthony and the restaurant manager that I see every time we visited both lied). My husband and I have visited this place seven times totally, we always order the spicy garlic shrimp $28 and wok tossed soft noodles w/beef and shrimp--Delicious, but my husband paid $22 for his wok tossed noodles and only got two shrimp. We mentioned the issue to Anthony and he said, that's all that supposed to be in the dish. No, mind you, this our seventh time visiting. Then, the manager comes and says it should be three shrimp and he owes us a shrimp next time. The manager then returned and said he was new and it should be only two shrimp and he doesn't owe us anything--LIES!!! It's always four shrimp. Next time we'll grab coffee and just sit in the atrium and enjoy the view!!! read more

Ginger - OVERPRICED for the portions received!!! - Pan Asian Near Me - National Harbor, Maryland

Delicious food, pretty good service but horrible, horrible fruit flies everywhere. The health department needs to check them out.

Favorite place in MGM. Great Asian food, I always get the noodles with duck and pork or the seafood platter. Server are always friendly. I had Song as my server and she was very kind . read more

The food was delicious and our server Minzhi gave us great service, she made sure we had an amazing experience! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for date night and it was great. I can't stress enough about how convenient the parking is at the MGM. Our service was exceptional. Our server, Gigi was super attentive and helped us with the menu. I always look for great food in a restaurant but the food alone does not cut it. It's all about customer service and I would have to say that between this place and the other MGM restaurants that we have gone to so far, I would definitely recommend this place. Great food + great customer service = best time. Thanks Gigi for an amazing service !!! read more

This was our first time and certainly not the last time me and my girlfriend will be coming to Ginger at MGM. We came in around 9 PM from the casino not expecting too much as it was the closest restaurant to the hotel. We had the most incredible service from Thitinai, He was very passionate about the food and knew the menu very well. We ended up ordering the deep fried sea bass, the tenderloin beef, and the beef chow fun. The sea bass was the freshest we have ever had and the sauce that came with it balanced the fish perfectly as we were told it would. I would recommend everyone I know to come and order all the dishes we did as they were all phenomenal. I look forward to coming back with my family. read more

This was our first time at Ginger at the MGM National Harbor and we were very pleased. The menu was a very eclectic Asian variety which allows you to sample some marquee dishes from multiple countries. I had the Singapore Noodles and they held up quite well against my Guangzhou China standard. They had a deeper more complex flavor than most US versions. I credit it to higher quality ingredients. The pot stickers were quite good and the Honey Pork was delicious. The manager Mr Kozu was quite attentive and was genuinely interested in our experience. Our server Bee was excellent and it turns out we recognized her from a previous restaurant. Ginger is fortunate to have her on staff. Overall a quantity experience and we will happily return. read more

The quality of the food was mediocre. I could order better food from a local Asian restaurant near me. The food was dry and flavorless. I had the fried tofu appetizer, Singapore noodle entree, and mango sticky rice dessert. We asked our server for extra sauce and napkins, but didn't receive them until we were almost done with our meal. The server was not attentive. She did not refill water glasses, which the manager noticed and came to refill himself. The nicest thing about the restaurant was that we were seated in the patio area under the main entrance sky lights, so we had a great view. Overall, I would not spend my money there again. read more

The food was okay...Left much to be desired. The serve was pretty good. Improve the food and this place could be awesome.

This only thing that was good was the drink I ordered. The spring rolls tasted weird and the chicken in the fried rice texture was too soft. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Disregard negative reviews I was expecting a less than experience based on the lack luster reviews. I went on a Friday night, service was quite upscale. Food was exquisitely presented and delicious. I ordered the lamb lollipops appetizer and my wife ordered the lettuce wraps both were out quickly and were scrumptious. For dinner we both ordered shrimp fried rice even the soy sauce and duck sauce was on point. I never write yelp reviews, but I have never had so much disagreement with yelpers on the rating and reviews. My over all MGM experience was awesome. read more

The service was pooooooor. On a busy night we were herded through with poor service. Apps and dinner came out at the same time. No one came to ask us if we needed anything. The waitress gave us a box and bag to pack up food. The food was mediocre by far. Not one dish had anything unique to offer. Plus the price was as if the food had more. I will not be going back. read more

My husband surprised me with a mini getaway stay at the gorgeous MGM hotel. He also made reservations at Ginger. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin dinner (about $40) and it was disturbingly fatty. I spent most of the time dissecting each chunk and not enjoying my (expensive) meal. My husband ordered a chicken stir fry. We have a "hole in the wall" place near our home that makes stir fry a million times better. If you want beef/steak, leave it to the Voltaggio Bros. We won't be coming back. read more

I think the reviews kind of undercut this place. The Pho was not the greatest but it was ok. However, my wife got the sesame chicken and a side of fried rice (playing it safe...) and it was possibly the best I've ever had. If I had just got this I would have given the place five stars but the Pho was just ok. read more

My friend and I stopped in for dinner and shared the crab fried rice and the garlic hot sauce shrimp. The food was good but not spectacular. I was expecting more flavor because it is an Asian restaurant. The staff was friendly and service was good. The servers were very attentive and informative. read more

Absolutely scrumptious, not only a great meal but also accompanied by second to none service. Thank you Ginger Team

Tables for two were so close together, you literally bump elbows with other diners. The waiter had to step between the tables to let another waiter go by, and he had to turn sideways to fit with his butt less than 6 inches from my face--hanging over my dinner plate. Food was typical of our neighborhood Asian cuisine delivery...except double the price. The waiters and waitresses were very kind and friendly, but that's not enough to make me ever come back. Spent $150 for two people and left half the food behind on our tiny, crowded table. read more

We randomly stopped in today because we wanted a nice lunch. We said if we ever ate at one of the full service restaurants again (Marcus was horrible) we would try Ginger. We arrived 12:30/1 pm on a Thursday and we're seated right away. Our server came and offered to take a drink order immediately. Apps came out in under 10 mins we had the spring rolls and honey glazed wings. Both were hot and awesome. Our food came out before we could get into the apps which was fine by us! We both ordered the Mongolian Beef and it was some of the BEST we've ever had! Yes, it was expensive -- special occasion or business meal dining but it was good enough to crave that dish and want to return. Sorry we don't have any photos. We were so hungry, we didn't even think to STOP to take pics! read more

Cecelia our waitress was awesome she was very courteous and funny. Visited Ginger for the first time with my mother, sister, and aunt yesterday before the concert. We didn't wait long food was pricey but was good overall. We were pleasantly surprised and would come back again. read more

I was here Saturday night. This is the asian restaurant right by the valet entrance. We chosed this place since we were all starving... bad move. So the seating area looks very nice, neat, and clean. That's about it for positives. Our server seemed not at all trained on the menu or drinks for the restaurant. After being seated, took about 10 minutes to get the menu. We asked what kind of beer they had, she named 3, butchering the names. Fine, maybe it's her first waitressing job. We ordered Sapporo, and it nearly took her 25 minutes to bring the beer. It was flat... made me believe the beer might've been sitting out for a while. We requested paper napkins to throw away the gum before eating. Never got it. We called our server so we can get a different, fresh beer. She said they can't take anything back, so she called her manager over. We ordered a different beer, Kirin Ichiban $16, and was told Sapporo will be taken off our bill. We ordered: Lettuce wrap - minced chicken on lettuce. Tasted as expected, nothing extraordinary. $12. Drunken noodle - had very little seafood, noodle was too soggy. $24. Garlic shrimp - this was sweet and sour sauce with shrimp and ginger. Medium size shrimp 8 pieces... not a big dish. $28. Thai crab omelet - only dish that was enjoyable. This looks like a pancake, crab and veggies went very well together. $28. So when we got the bill, the beer we returned was still on there, had to get that updated. What bothered me a bit was that our server (I'm sure she didn't have bad intention, but still) said "shay-shay" which I think is thank you in Chinese...? We live in 2016, not all asians are Chinese... yea, so my first restaurant experience at MGM was... not that great. I think because it is MGM, I had higher expectations. My food pics are under MGM. Since I couldn't tag Ginger when I was there... I originally posted this review under the casino, so Yelp "kindly" removed it. Hope they can move the pics under this review. Not going back here for food. read more

Our first experience at Ginger at the new MGM resort was not monumental by any stretch of the imagination. It took 27 minutes to get our first cocktail as they were out of our first two options. One out of the three appetizers were unavailable. How hard is it to keep edamame stocked? Another, had no taste whatsoever (Steamed Dumplings) but the Spring Rolls were half decent. The entree dishes we ordered were also quite disappointing. The soft shell fried rice was as bland as a piece of toast. No flavor... The beef and broccoli, although very tender beer, again had no flavor. Please whatever you do, do not order the sticky mango rice. It's like eating a ball of cold rice that has been in your refrigerator for two weeks. Oh, plan on giving yourself a good two hours. Service gets an F from me. Slow slow slow. I'm off to gamble and drink my sorrows and empty stomach away. read more

So fresh and good however the prices were outrageous. The vegetables were cooked so fresh and so nice. All I got to say is: "can you believe this dawg?" They use real vegetables in this biotch? Where do I even begin? We were a group of 9 and went in for dinner on Christmas evening. Given it was a holiday we did expect that there would be quite a long wait. We put our names down and were told it would be about 1-2 hours before we get a table. No problem. We went to the casino and a few of my friends gambled to kill the time. When about two hours had passed, we headed back to the restaurant to check on our table. They had it almost ready for us! We were seated at a semi circle style table with a lazy susan in the middle - which was great - probably the best thing about the visit! Our waitress visited our table quickly and started out to be pretty friendly. She took drink orders and returned with those quickly. She took our food orders as well and was able to accommodate for some changes to dishes (making them vegetarian or adding chicken). A while later our food arrived and that's when things started to go downhill. The server brought out the food and was so clueless about all of it! Two of my friends ordered the soft noodles and when it came out, it didn't quite look like what they were expecting. They asked the server what the dish was and he said it was lo mein. They asked if that was the same as the soft noodles. He responded very irritated and said "I'm not familiar with Asian dishes." Oh, but you work at an Asian restaurant? Was he not trained for the job? How does he not know the basics of the dishes he's serving? It's completely okay to not know things sometimes, especially given the place is new, however he could have politely said let me find out and let you know instead of giving us an attitude and expressing his clear frustration with his job. Another one of my friends ordered drunken noodles and specifically said no seafood and no meat - they wanted it completely vegetarian. It arrived with seafood in it, but the ticket the server had said vegetarian so that was clearly the fault of the kitchen not the the waitress or the server. That's still a problem though as my friends had to now wait for their food to come out while the rest of us ate. Once we all had our food, our waitress checked in on us - most of us said everything was fine now, but my friend who ordered the soft noodles still wasn't sure he had the right dish. As our waitress was about to walk away he said excuse me to inquire with her. She literally paused, rolled her eyes, and then turned around to answer him. I sat there thinking, what?! Did that really just happen? That was completely unnecessary! We were all very polite to her and the server, even when they weren't. When it came time to pay, we asked for individual checks to make the process easier and fair for the whole group. Our waitress said that was no problem and then very abruptly and rudely threw down a piece of paper and a pen on our table and told us she didn't remember what each of us ordered so we'd need to write down what should go on each bill. We had no problem at all doing that, but there was absolutely no reason to be rude about it! The food was pretty decent, but the poor service just ruined the whole experience. I had breakfast at Marcus (also in MGM) a week or so ago and had the same issue - terribly poor service. I really hope these restaurants succeed because they do have good food, however, management really should evaluate the staff they have and also increase the amount of training they receive - even basics like dish knowledge and how to speak to customers. read more

I created this account personally to give the review to Ginger and my server team Song and Li. I've eaten at Ginger many times when I'm in the area. We have always wanted to go to MGM so we went and decided eat at Ginger's. We unfortunately chose the night there was a concert, so we had6a bit of a wait to get in. We were the next group to be seated for about 15 minutes. As we waited by the podium, Karen the hostess was an absolute charm to talk with. Even though she was slammed with seating those with reservations and fielding other things, she still found time to find out why we were there and arranged for a little surprise at the end of our meal for the birthday girl. We ordered a 3+ pound lobster, Mongolian beef, and clams. The lobster cooked Asian style was so good. Portions were great as well.Everyone who helped us were so accommodating and kind despite being so slammed. I just wish I had gotten our server's name as well to give her a shout out for making the evening so memorable. I would definitely recommend reservations on the weekend, but sooo worth the wait. Probably the best Asian restaurant experience I've had. Well done Ginger read more

A friend and I ate here on 12/30/19. Our server, Song, was gracious and warm. My friend and I shared the spring roll appetizer, Thai basil beef fried rice and shrimp with black bean sauce. The food was overpriced by about $10-$12 but it was good. It's in the MGM where everything is overpriced so I wasn't bothered by it. You're paying for location. The drinks were delicious. My friend had a rum drink that tasted like pina colada and I had the moscato. If you're looking for prices that you can get at the local Chinese or Thai restaurant or for drinks with enough alcohol to make you woozy then this is not the place for you. read more
