Good food and our server Song is nice and welcoming shes very attentive and asked us if we needed anything quite frequently to make sure that we didn't have any issues read more

The service is awful!!! They'll seat you and never come back to take your order unless you stop to flag someone down after several minutes. This has happened to me on several occasions. I notice they treat the Asians that come in to dine, like royalty. Every time! Kind of takes away from the fact that their food is so good. read more

Review on Service and Not Food Small non-profit organization held our little Office Christmas gathering on Tuesday at 1:30 in the afternoon, something different then the usual potluck and exchange. We had a 45 minute wait time. Hung out and browsed the building. Once seated we were greeted by our waiter. Ordered our food. I ordered Chicken and Broccoli but was delivered beef instead. Simple mistake dont mind that. Switched it out pretty darn fast. Everyone received their food except 1 person, my boss..... so we kept waiting and waiting. The waiter stopped back by asked her how her drink was - we were like her drink is fine where is her food. I may have failed to mention that there were only 6 in our party- I said small. Well eventually her meal did come, after we were al pretty much done with ours. The manager came around to ask was everything ok, we explained to him what had taken place he said he would check with the Kitchen to find out why it took so long and never returned. When we were leaving he was at the entrance, ignored us completely asked again about the bill, he mumbled something and walked away. Im going to leave my comments at that- in hopes that they change for the better- read more

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Extremely slow service. Moreover, the waitress messed up our order. She brought us an appetizer that we never ordered. Then unprofessionally insisted that we eat it. Very bizarre! Then told us that the original appetizer we wanted was "unavailable". 30 minutes later she came back and said it was "available". So odd! By then we were full and didn't want to eat anymore. Extremely disappointed with staff. Slow and unprofessional. read more

Good chicken and rice dishes. We ordered every soup on the menu Every soup was subpar and twice the price it should have been. Nice food presentation, service and atmosphere but food quality was at best average or slightly below. I would avoid this place read more

I came here for the first time for my birthday lunch with my family. In advance I already warned my family on how expensive it was and insisted of going to another restaurant, but we decided to eat here. We came here on a Sunday around lunch time. There were a few customers dining during that time. The service was excellent and was very accommodating to our needs (especially with a picky toddler). I give the food a 3.5/5. We ordered off the dinsum cart which half of the items didn't seem as fresh. When you order main courses it was served as family style which is a plus since their portions are quite huge (also a plus). Reason why I'm only giving them a 3.5 is because of their prices. Sorry not sorry, I am not willing to spend $22.00+ on sweet and and sour chicken or $26.00+ on Mongolian beef. Overall I give this place a 4 because of their excellent service and food being up to par, but not a full 5 since their prices are ridiculously high. read more

The food is pretty good, and the service is excellent. I did find something to eat that was gluten-free, so I recommend them for that reason. read more

Very good restaurant inside the MGM. The food and service is amazing and the level of spice is always right. My only complaint is some of their dishes are outrageously expensive. 140 dollars for a lobster? Where I can go to a nice steak house and get a filet mignon with it on the side for half that price. read more

Service sucks, waiting still 45 minutes later and have not received my food. Finally got my food after making a fuss, it was not worth the wait! Don't think I'll be coming back to this restaurant Can I give zero stars read more

Food is ok, not really that impressive. Pricey as expected (location). We may have gotten a better deal for our buck down the other end in the food court. Table service was far from our expectations as well, she's too slow and not attentive. Although, the decor and ambiance was great and bright. May be just for quick snacks, but not for a serious sit down dinner with family, it will surely be disappointing. read more

I understand it was opening weekend, but had an awful experience here this weekend - far too many kinks to work out. We made a reservation and were seated right away, but it took about 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us and bring us water. We waited another 5-10 minutes for a cocktail menu, then were told the wine/cocktails were out. Then we were told the edamame was out. Then we were told both of the entrees we wanted were out. So at the end of the day we ended up with two very basic entrees that were not even what we intended on ordering. We then proceeded to wait OVER ONE HOUR for our food. It took close to 45 minutes for our waiter to even acknowledge this and come speak with us. In that time, several manager-types walked by and no one bothered to ask why we were just sitting there with empty drinks and no food. He came over and told us our food would be out right away after about 45 minutes, and then we waited another 20 for it to show up. We weren't offered free dessert, a free drink, or comped any part of the meal either. It would have taken some truly brilliant food to make this worth it, but the food was so-so as well. Service REALLY needs to get it together at this place given the prices and reputation of MGM as a resort. Confused staff and long waits - we should have just gotten up and left! read more

Just meh. Can probably find better food for fraction of the cost. Ambiance is good but you're probably paying more for the location rather than the quality of the food. read more

Willing to give this restaurant another try after they've been open longer, but one week after opening they're DEFINITELY not ready for prime time. This is in the newly opened MGM National Harbor hotel and casino complex, and is located in the central "conservatory" that is currently decked out in holiday over-the-top displays. The intent is to be a showplace eatery in a resort geared to high-expectation international guests, many coming from Asian locations. So how is it that the omnipresent go-to hot-and-sour soup falls so far short of wonderful? Even as they might need time to fine-tune signature dishes, someone in the culinary staff should have been able to discover or design a much better soup. And it should be noted the soup was listed at one price on the menu posted at the entrance, but marked UP in a hand-scribbled further insult. Several other similar items were increased, meaning they somehow also were unable to correctly price their menu items. I'll pay more for a better product, but paying more for a blander soup is doubly wrong. Stopped in when there was very little traffic at the restaurant, so there should have been adequate time to get decent service. Wrong again. Slow to get the menu (when I mentioned I was in a hurry, ordered soup and a glass of water, and said I would let the waitress know what else I wanted). Long time later, got the soup (but no water). At that point, I ordered a small dim sum appetizer, recognizing it might take an hour to get any entree items. Long time again, and the soup is finished. Waitress is AWOL, doing other tasks behind a counter but not bothering to check on me. Someone else brought the dim sum. The waitress finally dropped by, was reminded about water, brought water, and was reminded I'd said I was in a hurry and did not appreciate her lack of attention. She apologized, but said she'd been helping out other staff...to which I said, "Fine, but you knew I was in a hurry, and I couldn't even catch your eye because you didn't bother to look over at me." Bottom line: way too slow, food not worth the time or money. read more

Although the ambiance is good the staff could be a bit more friendlier. We ended up getting the food "to-go" and that was a task; there was an extremely long wait with no waiting area. The food was blah, which was a bit bland. I had a better noodle and shrimp dish at my neighborhood carry-out. How do we have bland soup? For the cost I expected better but all around, it wasn't... read more

The manager seated us ten minutes before closing, the Steakhouse next door had the doors locked twenty minutes before closing. The food was delicious. The service was awesome. The lettuce wraps were awesome. Both beef dishes were on point. The waitress was great! The shrimp fried was was fantastic. HIGHLY recommend Ginger! Two Thumbs up, A+ read more

2/5/2017 - The ambience was good as expected for a casino/resort. Hostess was friendly and accommodating. Since it was Super Bowl Sunday, the restaurant was not packed at 12pm. We ordered family style: Peking duck (duck was moist, buns were too thick and soggy on the bottom), beef fried rice with basil (decent, a little dry), seafood drunken noodles (good flavor, need more seafood), shrimp with walnuts (we had about 10 shrimps, for that price, geez), Chinese broccoli (ok), Chinese eggplant (surprisingly flavorful, good garlic and sweetness), and lots of dim sum items. We all concurred that the dim sum is not as good as the dim sums we had at other Chinese restaurants in VA. Overall, the foods were average. Even our 7 years old nephew said, "It's ok". I guess we have a new young critic in the family. Servers were friendly and very accommodating. One minor thing: they forgot to bring out the sticky rice mango dessert for my aunt's birthday as promised when we made reservation. It's ok. We headed over to Bellagio Patisserie for desserts. Conclusion: overpriced for mediocre quality (we expected much better for a bill over $300); one level grading above some Chinese carry out places tho. One suggestion: train every staff member including bus person/runner/hostess to know what dim sum is (Chinese food items served tapas style or food items served as appetizer portions, rattle off a few items so customers can connect with the visuals). The staff does not have to provide details with regards to specific items but at least know whether you serve dim sum or not. read more

Frist let me start off by saying the food is delicious. I tried variety of dishes from the duck, fried rice. barbecue 3 meats, lettuce wraps, and much more. For that is the only reason Ginger got 2 stars from me. Oh and the ambiance is nice too. I was came on a Tuesday 1/10 @8pm we had a large company dinner there were about 25 in my party and we did make reservations we were seat at 2 separate tables. From the beginning I had to flag down the server for everything he never explained the menu or what to expect as the dinner continued. Frist I ordered a dirty martini, others in the party ordered their drinks after me and received it. But my drink never came after watching the server bring 3 rounds of drinks for the other. I asked where was my drink it said it coming we only have 1 bartender in a non apologetic manner. After asking 3 different servers I finally got my drink. To make a long story short this is a family style restaurant. Our server came to each individual and took their order. When the food arrived instead of giving each person there food they just placed all in the middle of the table.. We were drinking and talking so no one really remembered what they ordered nor what it was supposed to look like. But service was sooo slow and everyone was hungry we just decided to just start eating. By the time we were half way done eating we realized that the other table had not received there food.....Come to find out they dump half of the other tables food on our table. It took another 30 mins for the other tables to start receiving there food. By that time the whole party was over the whole experience. The manager came over and apologized and gave us more food even though the other table still had not been served with their entrees. The experience from start to finish was bad the only saving grace for this place is the food is actually good. I think MGM needs to continue to train there new staff with higher customer service standards. I defiantly will not return to Ginger. read more

I had a great leisure lunch on 1/19 for my birthday. I consider myself a Foodie. I enjoy the whole "dining experience " Good food, drinks, and good service. I received it All. Thumbs up to Tammy our server. She could explain the dishes I had questions about and suggested the perfect drink to compliment the entrees chosen. The eggplant was Deelish, and the best spring rolls. Why not 5 stars. They don't have plum wine, ugh HELLO need to get that. And we asked for a plate so we eat the fruit soaked cocktail. (Sooo good). Our server asked the food runner who brought the food if he could bring her an extra plate. He gave a HARSH "No, I have other orders" again "thumbs up" to Tammy she did not miss a beat nor acknowledge his dismal. Ginger: Get the Plum Wine and foster more team work. read more

Be aware of this place. Double check your receipt. Last night a group of us stubbles upon on this restaurant while walking around the MGM. The place is beautiful however the food is so-so. More importantly, our check was $135. We handed our waiter $60 in cash and three credit cards to split the balance...The waiter came back with our checks and each one of our receipts totaled $35. Now.. if you do simple math, (135-60=$75/3=$25) our check were incorrect. Our waiter tried to charge us an additional $30. The manager apologized for the mistake however she did not show any empathy which made me feel like she was aware that he overcharged us. I will never go there again. I posted my receipts for review....Do Not Eat At This Establishment! read more

Recently, I had a celebratory lunch with a friend who retired from the Federal Government after 39 years of service. I wanted everything to go smoothly. Well, Ginger's Restaurant was the perfect selection. I made reservation and requested a booth, which was honored. Our waiter respected our privacy and could see we had a lot of catching up to do. He allowed ample time between our chatting and placing our order. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was excellent. Most of all, MD our waiter was superb. I highly recommend this restaurant and most significantly, ask for MD as your waiter. read more

I love their customer service. The food is good, but a over priced due to being in the MGM Grand Casino. Even though it's over priced I still come here quite often. The restaurant itself is nice, and very clean. All their staff members are very nice. To bad that they close pretty early. Either way my fiancé and I will definitely be back. read more

If you've had a major loss at the casino at MGM, I can only recommend coming to Ginger as a fallback. FANTASTIC servers, Song and Li! They never took a second to get away and always made sure we were taken care of. The duck was hot and crispy and definitely the star of the meal. As a Korean it's hard to come by side dishes that compliment the meal, but the kimchi blew my mind! Would come again! read more

This place can't compare to the food in Vegas but I food is pretty good. We had a reservation at 9pm and right when we came, they seated us right away. I know they take walk-in too but I would recommend making a reservation to get seated promptly. It seem like a pretty busy restaurant. A must try dish is the panang chicken curry. It has lychee in it and who would have thought putting a fruit into a curry dish would taste so good! One of the best curry dishes I've ever tasted. It has a kick to it so if you do not like spicy food, let them know to make it not too spicy. I also liked the soft shell crab fried rice but they don't give you a lot of soft shell crab so we ended up ordering extra crab. The service is excellent. I was holding my baby and one of the server even offered to hold him while I ate but he was sleeping so I didn't want to pass him to the server in fear of waking him up. It was a very sweet gesture though. There is no restroom in the restaurant. You will have to walk outside of the restaurant next to the gift shop to use the restroom but it is not too far away. read more

Top notch asian cuisine in the area. Steven was amazing to take care of us.

Did a business lunch here during the week. We were seated immediately and the server was friendly and attentive. After a few apps that included, wings, lettuce wraps and spring rolls. I ordered Mongolian Beef and Beef Chow Fun and Crab Fried Rice this trip on 10/2/2019. The food was terrific. However it's not the food alone that keeps me coming back to the restaurant; it's the most amazing server Minzhi. She is a very special person with an unusual talent to make the patron feel special. I recommend for an unbelievable experience in an otherwise just fine restaurant to make sure you dine with Minzhi as your server. read more

Ate at Ginger for the first time last night..I probably won't be back.. At the start I told the waitress that I don't eat any meat, dairy, or eggs. I ordered the pineapple fried rice without shrimp, sausage, and egg. We also ordered the fried tofu for an appetizer. So first we waited a long time and someone brought out a pineapple fried rice WITH meat before our appetizers. We told the waitress and she got all flustered and took it away. Eventually we got our appetizers. The sauce for the tofu was nasty..like a pasty peanut butter..so gross. My friend ordered lettuce wraps with chicken but there was no chicken, only vegetables. THEN my fried rice came back without meat..but also..without PINEAPPLES..I don't understand how pineapples were forgotten in "pineapple fried rice." I understand that mistakes happen, and every restaurant has bad nights. I used to be a supervisor for a restaurant myself. But with the reviews I've seen on yelp, it looks like what happened to me is not too unusual for this place. It's too bad, because it has a lot of potential, with the lovely ambiance and prime location. read more

Outstanding food and service - particularly Steven, the manager who stopped by on numerous occasions to ensure that we were enjoying our meal and genuinely seemed to care about the quality of our visit.
