We went for lunch. Not crowded at the time. Service was fine, not great. We had pad Thai and green curry beef. Both were pretty good. Not the best meal ever, but still a really good lunch. My friends and I headed to ginger around 2am, starving after a long day/night of work. We had the pleasure of being served by a woman named Song who I'm convinced is one of the sweetest ladies in the world. She helped us through the menu, provided detailed flavor profiles, and recommended and amazing cocktail for four that was served out of a golden swan. Came back to MGM to watch Rupaul's Drag Race and had dinner at Ginger again. They never disappoint! Bee, Yu, and Steven are the best.

It is inside MGM so it is way too overpriced. I don't mind paying for high prices provided that food is good. Unfortunately, this place is not that! Expect to get average or below average food. By far the most expensive Chinese food I have had, yet food is disappointing. All the food we ordered was below average and the portions you get does not justify the price. You are better off getting Food from your neighborhood Chinese restaurant and the bill won't hurt your wallet! read more

Ginger is a very Grand establishment, fitting the theme of the MGM of course. Its located near the main entrance of the MGM and you can get a good view if you sitting near the entrance of the restaurant. All in all, very ecstatically pleasing. My problems with this establishment are: 1) speed of service, 2) customer service, 3) quality of food, and 4) price. LET ME BE CLEAR! I have NO problem paying for a fine dining experience but, this. is. not. it. CUSTOMER SERVICE: My friends were already seated when I arrived but no one had seen a waiter. No water, no drink orders, no nothing. The funny part is that there was a party sitting right next to us. At least 5 employees of Ginger waited on this group like a puppy waits to go on its walk. We sat there and just watched the staff treat us and others in the room as if we were of less importance than the individuals sitting at this particular table. Even if those people are important, you do NOT treat your patrons as second class citizens. I mean you really had to be there to experience this. It wasn't until after the "important" party finished their main course that we started to get decent service. We had to order our drinks with our food because we had no idea when we would see the waiter again. The service was too slow... The pace didn't become up to PAR until it was time to prepare for the check (How convenient). To add, while cutting the birthday cake, one of the managers inappropriately walked up on me as if we were dating or something. He was too comfortable and less than professional in that moment. QUALITY OF FOOD AND PRICE: I will never come to this place again to be honest with you. I would have preferred PF Chang's or Better yet, Gracie's at the National Harbor instead. The food was under seasoned and under whelming. Let me ask : When was the last time sweet and sour chicken cost $33? I never knew Pho was $20. Please tell me where Mongolian Beef cost $28? There was NOTHING special about this place. the presentation of the food was poor. I could have went to Mai Thai in Old Towne, paid half the price, and would have had a FIVE STAR experience. The owners of this establishment are taking full advantage of its location. Advice to Management: Get your staff together (including managers), get your food quality together, and your price point for such Basic Foolery before you become a ghost of MGM Past! read more

The food was over priced for what they served. Ordered the seafood drunken noodles, the dish had two small shrimp, two small scallops, a few pieces of calamari. I asked the waitress if this was normal and she said yes, you get two shrimp and two scallops per order. For $28 I expect to get more seafood in a seafood dish. read more

If I could give this place more stars I would! This is hands down my favorite restaurant in MGM. My waitress, Tammy, was so attentive and super polite, not to mention helpful since it was my first time there. I got Dim Som, so I had quite the variety. I did try the lettuce wraps with chicken, but I am not a fan of cilantro, and these were filled with it. Every single item on Dim Som was incredible. I had a Chefs special pork and shrimp patty, which was by far the best, but the sticky rice in lotus leaves was sooooo good too!! We had a company-wide all-hands meeting at the MGM, and the company gave us gift cards from MGM to use for lunch. A group of us went to Ginger (along with other groups from the company). The restaurant was completely unprepared. In fact, they had no idea that there was going to be an event in the hotel that day. We ordered and they told us that they wouldn't honor the gift cards.. from MGM. The food took around 30-40 minutes to come up and then only half the table got food. The serving staff forgot about the rest of the food and the waitress had to bring it herself I ordered Chicken Mee Goreng, and it was basically, CHicken and noodles with ketchup. Yes, the "sauce" was good old ketchup. Yes, Mee Goreng does have a little bit of ketchup, but that's not the only thing it has! I had to pretend that I'm eating my son's leftovers. read more

This is a spruced up chinese resturant inside of the MGM National Harbor. Originally, we had reservations at a different resturant but we were running late so decided to eat at the MGM. Hubby & I went here for dinner on a Friday night prior to attending a comedy show at the MGM theater (which is right next door). Although, we did not have reservations, our wait was probably no more than 20 minutes. Very friendly host staff. The decor is nice given its location. The seating was totally not appealing, very tight. Now they do have booths on one side of the resturant. They also have a row of countertops (like at Starbucks) facing a wall - weird setup. The food to us was truly not all that especially not $70 worth but we already knew it wouldn't be. However, keep in mind, its inside of the MGM so expect everything within the MGM it to be overpriced. We ordered chicken & broccoli and sesame chicken. Both come with a side of steamed white rice. The sesame chicken was so bland! Thank goodness we had the other option as it was a lot more flavorful but again spruced up nothing to be "wowed" about. The portion sizes are great, sort of like family style. Overall not horribly bad but again not worth the money. Our waitress was OK. I think given the comedy event & it being a Friday, the resturant was pretty busy and it kind of felt as if they were rushing us out at times. Seriously, the food at the local chinese joint tastes a lot better and obviously costs half the price. Would we go again? Hmmm. Probably not. read more

Are you kidding me with this place? I frequent Vegas a few times of year and always love the Asian food at Ceasars and Venetian. Was kind of hoping for the same sort of quality. The service was bad. We waited prob 10 mins before being offered water or drinks. By then we were ready to order and went ahead and did so (2 aps and 4 entrees). The aps came with our drinks and a few seconds later the entrees came. We didn't see the waiter the rest of the meal until he came to pick up the plates and asked if we wanted another drink. The place wasn't crowded, we couldn't figure out what he was doing the whole time on the computer. The food was decent at best. My Pho was basically lo-mein as it was all noodle and no broth. The drunken noodle was average. I am there at MGM weekly as I am comp'd rather well, but will never eat here again. Get your Asian fusion fix somewhere else, this place will disappoint. read more

We waited in the slowly moving line outside Ginger for nearly an hour before a hostess walked down the line and let everybody know that they were not seating any walk-ins. Only parties with reservations were being seated. Why did the let us - and about 30 other patrons - stand in line for an hour before telling us that?! I went here for dinner on Sunday July 17th. The restaurant is really beautiful the way it is decorated. I was seated quickly by the manager Steven who was impressed that I could communicate in Cantonese although with an American accent. I got the Wor Wonton Soup and the Beef with Broccoli and it was delicious. The waitress was very nice and friendly and could understand my Cantonese. I was very pleased with the food, decor, and service by Steven and the waitress and will definitely visit again to try other menu items. The restaurant looks nice but the lack of organization is overpowering. We arrived at 630 pm on a Saturday night without a reservation. They told us it would be an hour wait. At 7:45 we will hadn't been called and when we asked about our table, we were informed that there were many reservations ahead of us so it would be another 45 minutes to an hour before we'd sit down. In addition, everyone that had reservations were waiting in a line to be seated. It looks like that even with a reservation you had to wait in a line to be heard and then wait in a reservation line regardless of your reservation time. We opted to eat at the Shake Shack instead and I'm glad we did. The food was amazing, half the price, and fast. I was a little worried coming here because of all the bad reviews. We came to check out the casino and seeing Ginger and it's cute decor we decided to check it out. I was very pleasantly surprised. The service was a little slow, but we didn't order appetizers, so I understand that food takes a little while to cook. We ordered the bibimbap and roasted pork. The bibimbap came out in a hot stone bowl with a sunny side up egg resting on top. The egg quickly cooked as I mixed it against the stone and the rice became crispy on the bottom as it cooked against the stone. The beef was tender and flavorful with pickled dicon radish and cucumber with sprouts. The BBQ pork was very flavorful, tender, and moist with a Chinese five spice thrill. On June 30 2022, my wife and I celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary by having dinner at the Ginger Restaurant located at the MGM resort hotel. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Our server for the evening was a beautiful lady name Cecilia. Because she was so accommodating and personable, she made my wife and I feel very special. I was taken on a date here April 21st and had a bad experience customer service wise. The food was great, drinks were good as well. When we arrived the host had to get our table clean & sanitized and said it'll take 2-3 minutes. We were waiting for about 10 minutes before being seated and about 3-4 more parties were sat before us. When we eventually got seated we were without a waiter for 15 more minutes. I had to get up and ask the manager who our server was and to let her know how long we were waiting as she followed up with an apology and took my drink & appetizer order. By this time everyone else has had a server greeted by them, drink & food orders in. (and yes I am watching). After speaking with the manager we had about 2 different servers by then. We were not checked on not ONCE and the server tried to argue with me about the tip he was given. I will visit the restaurant again because of the menu selection & the beautiful scenery.
