Ginger - Dinner! - Pan Asian Near Me - National Harbor, Maryland

This is one of the high end restaurant at MGM so it's going to be very pricy $$$ for a Chinese Restaurant. All the hostess are dressed in red Chinese dresses and the decor of the restaurant is very fancy. Started out with a soup appetizer: crab meat soup. There was a good chunks of crab meat with the occasional corn kernel providing sweetness. The soup was good but I added red vinegar to bring out more flavor. The Basil Thai Fried Rice was a bit mediocre so I would recommend ordering the Chinese fried rice. As for veggies, I ordered the Chinese Brocoli friend with ginger and garlic and oyster sauce in the side. The Galbi is definitely my favorite thing on the menu. It is well marinated, tender and just overall delicious. The steamed sea bass was delicious as well, the fish was so tender it break off the bone and the soy sauce complimented it so well. The service was good too, the server always refilled water and got us what sauce and spices we asked for. I also got food to go because we were still hungry. Ordered more Galbi and crab fried rice which was much better and came with a soft shell crab. Overall, this one of the better restaurant to eat at MGM but it just really expensive. Taste: 4/5 -Highly recommend Galbi and Steamed Sea Bass Service: 5/5 Bang for Buck: 2/5 -Unless you know people who have comps, most dishes will be overpriced. read more

The authentic food was VERY delicious! Sapporo on tap was an added bonus! The Drunken Noodles were off the charts! Great meal and gorgeous decor! read more

My wife and I decided to visit MGM casino since we were in the area visiting family. After making our way around this massive casino we decided to stop inside Ginger as a friend had recommended it. After a short wait we were seated by a hostess and presented with menus. While ogling over the menu, we were approached by the manager Steve who asked us if this was our first time dining at Ginger. Based on our general likes and dislikes he suggested that we try the crab fried rice and Pad Thai. I must say his recommendation did not disappoint as both of the dishes were exceptionally delicious. We will definitely be coming back to Ginger and look forward to trying new items on the menu. read more

Tried pretty much everything horrible and there service was bad. Waiter messed up my order 3 times never came back

Food was pricey but Song our server was great. She gets 5 stars. She was pleasant even if there was a minor mix up with our order.

Cecilia was wonderful!! Great services and amazing food ! Highly recomend! Wonderful atmosphere

Had a great time at Ginger with authentic Chinese food. Ambience is great. Steven is an excellent manager.

Restaurant plans were cancelled due to sudden rain so with a quick change of venue my aunt and I found ourselves at Ginger. It has been a while since either of us has been to the MGM and we were pleasantly surprised to find this new spot. I first want to start by saying our server Cecilia was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and had everything delivered with such care and prompt. She even showed us a great way to eat the spring rolls. Secondly the food was amazing! Together we ordered the Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Honey Wings, Noodle Soup, and the Crab fried rice. This place definitely deserves five stars, the staff, the food, and the atmosphere are all top notch. Can't wait to come back and potentially try the duck read more

Not my first time at the GINGER but today STEVEN the manager went to the extreme and beyond. Fried lobster is the scene here but the whole asian inspired meals are finger licking good "with safety in mind"! Don't sleep on this spot! read more

Update. At the signature soft shell crab fried rice and 15 minutes later I was throwing up. SMH. Manager said maybe I have underlying health issues. Insult to injury. Not my favorite any more. read more

We went to ginger the other night and was amazing service and met very nice people there . The manager Steven was so kind and helpful ... thanks to him so we had a great dinner and good time ! read more

This was my first time at Ginger with a group of close friends. We ordered mostly desserts; Mochi ice cream and mango sticky rice. We got two appetizers as well, wings and potstickers. I think everything was pretty standard since we just ordered basic stuff but I will say the mango with the sticky rice wasn't fully ripe yet and it was hard and not sweet at all. However, the wings and potstickers were crispy and warm. I will say the food was only about three stars worthy, but my review includes more than that. The best thing about Ginger was the service! Our servers had amazing teamwork and were so kind and attentive, so THANK YOU Li and Song!!!!!!! You guys were amazing and brought everything that we needed out in a timely manner. My friends and I were were very pleased and we will definitely back and hope to receive the same kind of service. Li and Song were patient and we asked for them to take some pictures of us and they were so sweet. Due to our exceptional service, I will give Ginger a total of 4 stars. read more

I came here on a Sunday evening and the food and service were amazing. Our server Song was very attentive.

This is very boring food in my mind. Although the atmosphere was nice and our waiter was so sweet. But when it came down to the food it was super boring and I expected better. Sadly I have had take out that is better and I do not like paying for a meal out when it is as disappointing as it was. Beware!!! Bottled water is 9 dollars!! It was Fiji and it was a 3 dollar bottle for 9 dollars... read more

We stopped by ginger without a reservation, looking for some good eats and we found them. Steven greeted us with a smile and made sure we were seated in a place of our choice. Our waitress Bee was also amazing, she knew the menu well, she was honest with her options on what dish we should order and absolutely everything that came out was delicious. We tried lambchop lollipops, honey wings, salt and pepper shrimp, general tso shrimp, and drunken seafood noodles. We cleaned our plates. Thank you to Bee and Steven for making our night! read more

the food was so not worth it, panda express could have done better. we were basically dehydrated the whole time because no one came to fill our waters. they forgot a bunch of our drinks that we ordered and food was disgusting read more

I thought the food was overpriced for the quality of the food that they gave us. The food tasted a bit bland or too spicy and was not worth it. The chicken fried rice was the only plate that was suitable to my tastes. I was dissatisfied with the food, but in terms of location, the restaurant had a great view of the decorations. read more

Cici (Cecilia) was a wonderful server. She was very attentive and ensured food order was perfect! Spring rolls were delicious and served w string veg. Panang Curry w beef was just perfect! Would steer away from Pad Thai. Too much fish sauce. read more

Ginger is the perfect restaurant to dine in if you're celebrating a special occasion. It definitely isn't the place to dine in if you just want a bite. The food is fantastically delicious, I'd give it a 10/10. Simply because it all tastes very natural, so far none of the dishes which I've tried taste of any artificial ingredients/flavors. The service is always great, very friendly and patient staff. If you're looking for a fancy dinner with the family/friends on a weekend night this is most definitely the place. read more

Currently bedridden with vertigo and cramps from mishandled pineapple fried rice I had here twelve hours ago. I had a longer two star review planned because of the level of service, but I can't even keep my phone upright in my hands right now. One star. read more

I was there with my tribe and we loved it. The portions are super big. Pork, rice, noodles, dumplings, etc We were so full but we dance it off. It's so yummy and worth the money. The other restaurants serve so little, delicious but small ratio. I eat a lot. And this was perfect. read more

Zero tolerance for racists. Popped in Ginger before our event (Chris Tucker) at the MGM, front row seats. Service was on point, but the food quality (chicken & broccoli & Sesame chicken) was poorly prepped and drowned in slimy sauces. Although the hostesses were welcoming and our waiter (Law) warm and friendly, some random person (General Manager Jane) floated to the table and requested proof of ID for the $85.23 debit card payment (20% tip). This was before she actually viewed the signed card. When questioned, she said it was a new MGM policy to combat the property-wide issues with stolen cards. No problem with the policy, but no other patrons in our section was held to the same. No notices are posted in the restaurant. No notices are posted on the menu. No staff said anything about the DISCRETIONARY "company policy," not even Law when he left the check. It was purely SNAP JUDGEMENT, on her part, based on ignorance and stereotype. How else could those black folks afford their fine attire and jewelry without a STOLEN CREDIT CARD. REFUSE TO PATRONIZE BUSINESSES WITH DISCRETIONARY/RACIST POLICIES. MGM is not the only venue for shows in our region, and the food at Ginger literally sucks. read more

Appetizers (edamame and spring rolls were okay), but that was the highlight of our dinner. Both my dinner companion and I had the same thought about the chicken... it tasted "odd." They brought me shrimp and broccoli at first but were very apologetic and brought out the correct order of chicken and broccoli soon after. I just can't recommend it based on the taste of the meals, however. read more

Ginger may be the most expensive Asian Restaurant in the DMV but I have to say it's worth it. Unlike most of the 100 or so people who've reviewed Ginger my wife and I have been there at least once or twice a week since they opened. We've yet to have anything we haven't thoroughly enjoyed. A restaurants value doesn't come from how much food they give you for the money but from the quality of the environment, food, and service. The environment is varied and relaxing. We always enjoy sitting outside to people watch and is quieter then in the main restaurant. The food while quite expensive has value because we rarely ever have any leftovers to take home. Our favorites are the Pan Fried Pot Stickers, Combo Fried Rice, Kimchi, Roast Duck Soup, Peking Duck with Steam Buns, and The Ginger Lobster. Sometimes we only want a snack and we just get the Pot Stickers, Kimchi, and Duck Soup to share between us. With tip it costs about $60. Then sometimes we have friends and we go all out and order all of our favorites. The check can easily reach over $400 plus tip. However, the value comes from our enjoyment of the environment, food, and always impeccable service. Also, they are open till 4am on the weekends with full service of both food and alcohol till they close. Finally, if you look around at the Ginger Staff you will see that almost everyone who works there from the Cooks, Waitresses, and Managers are Asian. Their food is Authentic Asian Fare cooked by Asian but the Service is far above the traditional Asian Restaurants. Honestly, most Asian Restaurants have terrible Customer Service far below their Western Restaurant counterparts. However, that's not the case at Ginger. They are always properly staffed even at 3am to rarely keep you waiting long and trained to provide the highest quality of Customer Service and Friendliness. read more

Yenifer delivered an amazing and excellent customer service and made sure all our needs were met and our food was amazing.

This place has delicious food and the service is wonderful. The reason why I am dropping one star is because the price in my opinion is a bit high but that will not stop me from going. A great date place as well because of the restaurant location inside the casino. read more

PROS: Nice place CONS: Foods aren't really good. Ordered beef with brocolli (salty). House fried rice (salty). Customer service was also just okay. read more

The staff were polite. Food is deliciously asian fusion. Great service. Attentive staff special mention to Mengxiang!

I ate a delicious dish at Ginger once again. My server Song made sure it was delivered on time and flawless.

Great service! Song was our server, very nice and attended to all of our needs. Definitely worth it.

Ginger is always our go-to when we are in town! The food is amazing and it's crazy how it's always amazing every single time. We love the chicken fried rice and veggie spring rolls. Their drinks are top tier. Our favorite waiter is MD. He's always so nice and great energy. He makes our visits nice each and every time. He's also a reason we love coming back. I highly recommend Ginger! read more

As i always say, food and customer service make or break a restaurant. Ginger definitely failed in food. We ordered 5 different items and all of them are subpar compared to any local restaurant. Customer service is there just to ask you how every thing is but not really worry about what u are saying. Ambience is ok. Sitting in the restaurant everyone walking to casino can see what we are eating. So much for a fine dining restaurant that charges $30 a dish and $15 beers. Will never recommend this. read more
