Chicken Alfredo Mostaccioli
John S.

Decent food with a good amount of options for you to change dishes to your liking. We started with mozzarella sticks and southwestern egg rolls for appetizers. Both were good but my favorite thing was probably the french fries. I didn't love the Alfredo so maybe try meatballs. We came early on a Saturday so it wasn't too busy. The inside was pretty warm and cramped, though. The parking situation outside isn't much better so you might need to park closer to the road when it's busier.

Look at that thin crust and the toppings are perfect!

As always Gina's on the West side of Hamilton was full on a Saturday evening but we didn't wait long. There is a reason why it's always busy and not just on weekends but every night. Gina's is delicious and also the best Italian restaurant in town. My wife ordered the Italian steak sandwich, which I had a bite of and I will tell you it was very good. I was in the mood for pizza when I usually order an entrée. Of course I got the house saled as did my wife and their Italian dressing always hits the spot. I was going to order a 7 inch pizza but my wife said go ahead and get the 14 and she will have some so we did. As always, I ordered my go to which is pepperoni and sausage. When it came out, it looked delicious and was piping hot so I let it cool a few minutes and dug right in. I have never had their pizza before because like I said, I usually order an entrée however one bite and I became a true believer in their pizza. I am going to call this the second best pizza in Hamilton right behind Chester's. The pepperoni was flavorful. The Italian sausage was on spot for flavor, there was plenty of cheese and a thin crust with a light brown bottom. Service as always was wonderful and I don't remember when it wasn't. Gina's is always a hit with my appetite and I love the atmosphere. True Italian food from an authentic Italian family. Stop in and you will see what I mean.

Spaghetti pizza with meatballs

Every once it a while you find yourself a foodie hidden gem , and this my friends was it for me! The wife and I had a craving for a good pizza and decided to give Gina's a chance. Now if you knew my wife you would know she is a sucker for a spaghetti pizza. Only thing is they didn't have a spaghetti pizza on their menu! Well these Angels, I call them angels because they are doing the Lord's work, offered to put one together one for us. I've been to many pizza joints eating spaghetti pizza along side her and from her mouth this was "THE BEST" she has ever had hands down.! It's just a little bar tucked back behind some buildings. But to us it is a hidden paradise we will return to whenever we're are in Ohio. Kudos ladies you deserve it!

It's an Italian Tavern! It has been so long since I've been at an Italian Tavern. They are rare gems and even more so in this part of the country. I usually hesitate giving 5 stars on one visit but everything was great - and, it's an Italian tavern. Atmosphere at lunchtime was lively and loud, there was a baseball game on TV, two waitresses were bustling around to serve the many guests. My waitress was Tammy, and it was her 2nd day at Gina's. It was my first so we got along just fine. I felt very welcome. Tammy was prompt, friendly and helpful. I had the lunch lasagna which was delicious and a perfect portion. It had plenty of bubbly melted mozzarella on top. I was glad I didn't opt for extra as it was just right. Came with a nice slice of garlic bread. I got the 3-piece haddock dinner to go, to heat up for supper. Delicious. Nice fresh filets with a light breading that I think was cornmeal-based. Anyway far superior to typical fried fish breading. The homemade coleslaw was excellent, crispy and slightly sweet and it had green peppers in it. This was on the Lenten menu and I sure hope I can get something like it on my next visit. Inside is one big room - bar and tables. It works. There's a covered patio too. I really enjoyed Gina's and hope to return soon.

We had seen the restaurant on YouTube and I took my wife to lunch, all the items were from the lunch menu. Half a Steak Hoagie: It was ordered with mushroom sauce which had no flavor of mushrooms at all. The onion overpowered tasting much of anything else. The hoagie roll was the star of the sandwich. The onion rings even though frozen (yes we asked) were pretty good. 7" (not 17" like the menu shows): It was a sausage and pepperoni. It was a disaster, I didn't ask but there are far superior frozen pizzas available at any grocery store. Half a Bacon Double Decker: Ok, a lot of bread that detracted. Mac and cheese the pasta was cooked perfectly, not a lot of cheese other than what was on top, portion was huge. Boneless Wings: The chicken was excellent, I asked for the homemade sauce that was a salt bomb. It was crowded and we had to sit at a high top or wait for an undetermined time. The chairs at the high tops were torture devices. The four toppers were jammed together, not an inviting atmosphere. Disappointed.

Us enjoying ourselves!

We also had their lasagna, meatballs, and garlic rolls. All were delicious as was the salad with their house made Italian dressing. Their crust and sauce and made in house and baked in a brick oven for that great NY style crust. The sauce was excellent and whatever cheese blend they use was perfect. We only got a 12" pizza for the two of us since we got so much more and there is still two pieces left. My wife loved the lasagna and liked the pizza as well. I thought both were delicious. I'll keep the pizza for lunch tomorrow and my wife will take the other half of the lasagna with her to work. Super clean inside and the staff were very friendly. Keep in mind that this is takeout only. They are in the west side of Hamilton where Milillo's use to be. We will be back many times I'm sure.

As authentic as it gets. The pasta was the main show stopper here, aldente and creamy. Great flavor. The salad was whatever, the garlic knots were super yummy. Gf loved them. Pizza was super solid as well, great consistency, and hit the spot. Made it even tastier knowing it came from an authentic Italian joint. Give them a shot.

Bravissimo! Lovely dining experience in a romantic, Italianesque atmosphere with charming artwork,…read morelow lights, cloth napkins, and candles on the tables. This was my choice for my birthday dinner and it was a good one. Service was top notch. Genuine smiles from the hostess, waitress, and the man who brought the warm bread basket. The waitress was cheerful, communicative, and she timed everything just right so the meal was perfect in every way including pace. The cocktails are works of art and well worth the prices (which are not above average). I included a picture of the two that we enjoyed. We got the arancini appetizer but asked for the peppercorn ranch on the side...which is my recommendation. It's actually very tasty and peppery and I think I'd love it on a salad. The arancini were excellent, golden brown and nicely put together. My husband had filet mignon done to perfect medium rare and I furthered my Italian food fix with the Campanelle Salsiccie. Sausage gravy was delicious though I thought there was a little too much sauce. House made pasta. Fresh grated Parmigiano cheese was a lovely addition. I took half my pasta dish home as I was so full. Generous portion! And, they knew it was my birthday and presented a complimentary tiramisu which was nice and light and so good. I hope to be back before too long. Great place for a very fine meal, and highly recommended.

Myself, my husband, our 11 month old baby, and two of our sisters went out for dinner to celebrate mine and my babys birthdays, which are next week. We knew we needed a bit more space than usual since the baby's highchair and belongings take up some space, and the hostess and Manager were accommodating and kind as they offered us several different tables until we found one that worked, even though it was a Saturday night and they were booked with reservations. We ended up sitting in the enclosed back patio, which was nice and brighter than where we had sat before. Our server, Megan, introduced herself and was so kind and personable that we knew we were about to have great service. We started with bread service, because for $3.50 you get unlimited 16 bricks spread and whipped butter and olive oil. It comes out hot and is just really great bread. Last time I visited, I tried the mussels and I loved the saffron broth so much. I thought to myself that I would like to add some plain pasta to whatever broth was left. So this time, I ordered the muscles and I asked the server about getting plain noodles, and she said I wasn't the first person to request that, so the chef prepared the dish on top of a pile of their house made fettuccine noodles. It was really delicious with all of the fresh chopped garlic. My husband got the Cacio E Pepe and loved it. About 2/3 of the way through, he got full and said he should probably take it home, but it was too good to stop, so he ended up finishing every last bite. My sister got the chicken Parmesan with a side of Alfredo sauce. She loved it! We all tried the Alfredo sauce and agreed that while it is super rich, it was spot on. We all ended up dipping bread in it and adding some to our dishes. I think I will have to try the fettuccine Alfredo dish sometime. My other sister ordered the veggie pasta which comes with vegan noodles. The server made sure that she wanted the vegan noodles and not the regular, but my sister ended up swapping for the regular pasta since she has a pasta fanatic and knows they have really good housemaid pasta. She enjoyed her dish as well. Megan checked on us several times throughout the night and made pleasant conversation. She also complimented my baby for being super cute, which every mom wants to hear. We were honestly already having a great night when Megan offered to bring us bread to go and boxed up all of our leftovers for us. But then she took things up one more notch when she brought me and my baby birthday desserts because she heard me mention that I am breast-feeding and she is a mother too with a baby similar in age to mine, so she empathizes with how hard of a journey it is. My baby is turning one in a week, and his dad and I haven't given him sugar yet... Until tonight. Megan truly created the most magical moment for us to give him his first taste of a true sweet treat. We sang him happy birthday for the very first time and helped him blow out his first candle. It is no surprise that he absolutely loved the whipped cream we gave him. This was our first time celebrating our babies's birthday, and our nearly shared birthday, and Megan truly made it one to remember. Thanks for the core memory, Caruso's. We will be back.

I asked for a nice table, but they sat us next to the bar... I'm not sure why since the other dining room was open and no one was in there eating The food was no better than what you could get at the Denny's restaurant... the service was no better than a poorly managed diner, and the ambience was that of a slightly elevated cafeteria... Flavorless, dry salmon, a house wine that ended up being sparkling, despite the fact that it didn't claim to be so on the menu, and a waitress in blue jeans and a sweatshirt that might as well have been working at McDonald's... If you're going to claim to be a fine dining restaurant... Maybe you should pay a little more attention to the fine detail. I can't recommend this restaurant unless you're all about paying a lot of money for very little wow factor.

When our food was brought to our table, another server was assisting with a tray of drink refills. He accidentally dropped a glass, and Coke covered the table, floor along with myself and couple of my children and our seats. There was no urgency to clean up. We used the couple napkins we did have on the table to clean up. Clearly needed more, so the server goes and grabs a roll of paper towels and just places them on the puddle on the floor. We never received any extra napkins, we had to ask for more silverware. There was zero effort to make sure things were taken care of, not even an apology. The lady, that I assume was the manager, noticed after 10-15min the puddle was still on the floor, asked one of the staff who's going to clean it up (couldn't find the busser, not even taking initiative to do herself right away). She also never acknowledged us either. While we really had no complaint with the situation, because we know EVERYONE makes a mistake. It's how poorly it was handled. Especially recognizing we were a family with a bill over $100, and clearly your business is struggling to fill seats. Make an effort to earn the return business. Note: while we were by no means expecting it, there was no further effort to make it right, by taking off even a drink off our bill. Again, no apology was ever given by any staff. For a restaurant that charges $20+/plate, make those costs worth it. Please and thank yous go a long way.
