Spicy Spaghetti Vesuvius

Fun memories for our family from California. We loved going to the Old Spaghetti in Fullerton. We loved the chicken parm and spicy spaghetti! Still tasty and fun. Judah our server was very polite and attentive. What a fun place, come early and get in the train car!

I have good memories of going to an OSF location in Salt Lake with my sister and I'm happy to say it tasted just as great here in Fairfield. We were able to make a reservation ahead of time online (last time, it was a 45 min wait for walk in). The restaurant was busy so service was a little slow but our server was nice. The decor is nostalgic and I love the trolley car inside. The Italian cream soda has a keepsake glass that I forgot to take but I was able to retrieve it later!

Fettuccine with Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter

I've been coming to The Old Spaghetti Factory since I was a kid (Downtown) and the fettuccine with brown butter and mizithra cheese is still my ultimate comfort dish. I don't think I tasted the brown butter as much as I wanted this time which made it a bit dry, and I definitely had more cheese than pasta, but that salty, nutty mizithra flavor is still what pulls me back after all these years. My husband ordered the Tuscan chicken and he said it was delicious. The seasoning had that warm blend of basil, oregano and garlic that makes the whole plate smell amazing. We also had the minestrone soup and it was that cozy, old school flavor you want on a cold night. The bread and the spumoni are classics and always hit the spot. The biggest downside was the wait at the door. We stood there for about eight minutes without being acknowledged, then waited a bit longer before being seated. Once we finally had a server though, he was excellent and took great care of us (even if he wasn't much help choosing a wine.). Even with the slightly rocky start, it's still a nostalgic favorite and we'll definitely be back.

I could literally eat at the old spaghetti factory every day. I am not a big red sauce fan so the fact that they have Mizithra brown buttered spaghetti gives me a pasta choice that I can have. The fresh bread is really good, they overload their salads with dressing, which is good and to top it all off the spumoni ice cream is different than any other restaurant serves. Looking forward to my next visit.

My gf really wanted to check out The Old Spaghetti Factory. I was in the mood for pasta so we went to check it out for the first time. I was expecting, a factory, or you seeing them make the pasta, or something cool, but was greeted with a whole different atmosphere. It was very unique, gave comfy, grandmas house, train station, whimsical. The train car in the middle of the dining room was a really cool touch, though I don't think their dining room is that big once you walk around it. We were seated in 2 huge, comfy sofa chairs. Really reminded me of dr.suess. I was hoping for a more low light, romantic vibe, but it was still private. We had a nice server, she was attentive for the most part, and when I asked how meat balls were made, she went back and asked for me lol. The Caesar was good, croutons flavorful. Cheesy Garlic Bread was next, and although it looks very pretty, it definitely could have been cooked longer. It needed to be crunchy. The pastas came out shortly after, our server cleared our plates, and we dug in. I liked mine a lot. I ordered the one meatball marinara pasta. Added 2 more cause I was hungry! Flavor was nice. Noodles aldente. My gf liked hers as well, but wasn't anything super memorable. Overall, price was a little high for the quality, service and atmosphere that you're provided, but it's a classic restaurant, comfort Italian, that doesn't take itself too seriously.

The restaurant itself is really cool especially looking around seeing things about old Cincinnati. Has a fun street car in the middle of the restaurant. Our server was really nice and friendly but I felt a bit rushed through the food. When our entrée came out you could tell it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a little too long. Food was tasty.

Masterpiece Shake. Soooo good! You have to get one!

I love the Old Spaghetti Factory and think it's an excellent option for affordable, quality Italian food. Where else can you get bread, a salad, an entree and dessert for such a reasonable price?! We went to this location in Fairfield for my Grandma's 90th birthday party. We had about 23 people and had called in advance. They had a backroom set up for us with two big tables for our party. I appreciate our waitress and we also had the manager show up a few times to check in on us. He was very jovial and friendly. He even gave my little baby niece a tiny bear for her to have when she was crying. So sweet! My personal favorites are the Masterpiece Milkshake--you HAVE to get one...it's the best cookies and cream shake you'll ever have because the cookie pieces are so finely chopped into it. YUM! I also love the traditional marinara pasta and the mizithra cheese & browned butter pasta. So I usually get the combo (I think it's called the Manager's Special), where you can get two types of pasta. You also get a choice of vanilla ice cream or spumoni. I appreciate that this ice cream is creamy and quality-- not just cheap ice cream from Meijer. Is this the best Italian food I've ever had? Not exactly. But truly, you cannot beat the quality food for the amount you pay. So Spaghetti Factory will also be 5 stars in my book! So glad my Nammy picked here for her 90th bday party!

Great food. Rude staff. Cool ambiance. Like many other restaurants, they can't get people to work. Service is therefore incredibly slow.

This was my choice for my birthday dinner and it was a good one. Service was top notch. Genuine smiles from the hostess, waitress, and the man who brought the warm bread basket. The waitress was cheerful, communicative, and she timed everything just right so the meal was perfect in every way including pace. The cocktails are works of art and well worth the prices (which are not above average). I included a picture of the two that we enjoyed. We got the arancini appetizer but asked for the peppercorn ranch on the side...which is my recommendation. It's actually very tasty and peppery and I think I'd love it on a salad. The arancini were excellent, golden brown and nicely put together. My husband had filet mignon done to perfect medium rare and I furthered my Italian food fix with the Campanelle Salsiccie. Sausage gravy was delicious though I thought there was a little too much sauce. House made pasta. Fresh grated Parmigiano cheese was a lovely addition. I took half my pasta dish home as I was so full. Generous portion! And, they knew it was my birthday and presented a complimentary tiramisu which was nice and light and so good. I hope to be back before too long. Great place for a very fine meal, and highly recommended.

Myself, my husband, our 11 month old baby, and two of our sisters went out for dinner to celebrate mine and my babys birthdays, which are next week. We knew we needed a bit more space than usual since the baby's highchair and belongings take up some space, and the hostess and Manager were accommodating and kind as they offered us several different tables until we found one that worked, even though it was a Saturday night and they were booked with reservations. We ended up sitting in the enclosed back patio, which was nice and brighter than where we had sat before. Our server, Megan, introduced herself and was so kind and personable that we knew we were about to have great service. We started with bread service, because for $3.50 you get unlimited 16 bricks spread and whipped butter and olive oil. It comes out hot and is just really great bread. Last time I visited, I tried the mussels and I loved the saffron broth so much. I thought to myself that I would like to add some plain pasta to whatever broth was left. So this time, I ordered the muscles and I asked the server about getting plain noodles, and she said I wasn't the first person to request that, so the chef prepared the dish on top of a pile of their house made fettuccine noodles. It was really delicious with all of the fresh chopped garlic. My husband got the Cacio E Pepe and loved it. About 2/3 of the way through, he got full and said he should probably take it home, but it was too good to stop, so he ended up finishing every last bite. My sister got the chicken Parmesan with a side of Alfredo sauce. She loved it! We all tried the Alfredo sauce and agreed that while it is super rich, it was spot on. We all ended up dipping bread in it and adding some to our dishes. I think I will have to try the fettuccine Alfredo dish sometime. My other sister ordered the veggie pasta which comes with vegan noodles. The server made sure that she wanted the vegan noodles and not the regular, but my sister ended up swapping for the regular pasta since she has a pasta fanatic and knows they have really good housemaid pasta. She enjoyed her dish as well. Megan checked on us several times throughout the night and made pleasant conversation. She also complimented my baby for being super cute, which every mom wants to hear. We were honestly already having a great night when Megan offered to bring us bread to go and boxed up all of our leftovers for us. But then she took things up one more notch when she brought me and my baby birthday desserts because she heard me mention that I am breast-feeding and she is a mother too with a baby similar in age to mine, so she empathizes with how hard of a journey it is. My baby is turning one in a week, and his dad and I haven't given him sugar yet... Until tonight. Megan truly created the most magical moment for us to give him his first taste of a true sweet treat. We sang him happy birthday for the very first time and helped him blow out his first candle. It is no surprise that he absolutely loved the whipped cream we gave him. This was our first time celebrating our babies's birthday, and our nearly shared birthday, and Megan truly made it one to remember. Thanks for the core memory, Caruso's. We will be back.

We ordered the Chicken Parmesan ($26.99) and one of their limited time specials, linguine with white clam sauce ($20.99). A side salad (which is big enough to share) and a couple of glasses of wine brought the bill to $55. The chicken is one of their customer favorites and the portion was large enough to take some home. The linguine sauce was on the watery side and the clams were really tiny but it was flavorful and something I would order again. Our server Delante was courteous and efficient. Sadly, they were under staffed that one server came in on her day off and haven't even changed into uniform to help serve us. We had to grab our own utensils and appetizer plates from the adjacent table. We were definitely worried about traffic back to airport and making our flights. But they came through and we got out at the ideal time of 2pm. Whew! I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The plate was massive and held 3 balls the size of my fist. It was tender and meaty, however, the sauce was a salt bomb. I ate 1 ball and some spaghetti then took the rest home. We also ordered appetizers of fried calamari, spinach dip with tortillas and small flatbread. All were good and I especially enjoyed the calamari. Decor is nice and I found out its a chain restaurant specific to Ohio. Hope they get the staffing they need. Seems like a trend everywhere you go...
