I have been eating Larosas for over 60 years and the quality has greatly suffered. I had a steak hoagie last night. And it was the worst hoagie I have ever eaten. There are some businesses that have flourished and others that have failed. This is one of them. I was one of the first to have the pleasure of placing a carry out during the pandemic. Unbeknownst to me and the confirmation email I received, I was suppose to park in a numbered spot and call a number when I arrived. Unfortunately for me I did not bring my phone. Five minutes later I returned and received my order and was told that the online instructions were not posted yet. Okay, first thing first.. I order La Rosas Sauce from Amazon so that I can share the saucy goodness with my family and friends in Scottsdale. Unfortunately, what we ordered from this place was a little disappointing. My hubby swears by growing up eating La Rosas Calzone. I decided to give it a try and was disappointed (sorry Ohio folks). The calzone was way too doughy for my taste. I also ordered their French onion soup and I swear I make a meaner soup at home. Never really understood Cincinnati's obsession with La Rosa's pizza..I can recognize that it is alright..I just don't really have a taste for it. Don't get me started on their wings..I once was eating some and I turned to my brother in law and asked him if something was wrong with these wings..he replied that no..that's just what they taste like there..I was shocked and appalled..haha. Anywho..I tried a calzone for the first time this trip and honestly it wasn't that bad..so I guess I now have a go to if someone I'm with wants to go here. I would normally give higher rating but was given waiting time for a hoagie and salad of 40-50 minutes. LaRosa a long time establishment seemed to be going downhill. Probably just this one but not acceptable. Sandwich barely warm, salad looked like lettuce just thrown in container, tomato 3 little squares but at least it had onion. Will consider another chance but using excuse "it's Friday poor. No other comments at the time. But improvement is needed. This was one of the worse pizzas I have ever had. Not sure what is happening with the liberty Township store but things have drastically changed since I left for Florida last year. I've been there twice since I came home and I'm very disappointed. First time I went there were fruit flies. It happens. Went back two weeks later and the bartender was complaining to a server as she swatted at the flies. Enough time had passed to correct the problem. Bartender (not a bartender) had no idea how to make drinks and had to have a server find a dirty sticky recipe book to make a drink. I love this LaRosa's! Close to home, so we always hit it up for pizza cravings. The service and food are good and very consistent. If you aren't already a fan of LaRosa's, this would be a great location to introduce you to this Cincinnati specific chain. Pizzas are not cheese on bread, like some other chains. Tomato sauce lovers get their fix here with their original sauce (sweet AND spicy believe it or not), among others, which are not used sparingly. The salads are crisp and refreshing and don't even get me started on some of the more indulgent appetizers (Spinach Rondo!). We prefer the traditional (thin) crust or hand-tossed ( one step up) rather than the thicker doughy variations. They also have a full service bar area for those that are so inclined. Delivery was quick, young fellow was courteous and the flatbread steak and sriracha pizza was excellent. Ok, let me preface with this review is strictly for this location. I used to go here with my coworkers on my lunch break and I stopped going with them because we ALWAYS had terrible service. I understand we were probably one of the first guests for the day, but that shouldn't mean I have to wait 10 mins between getting my drink and the waitress taking my order. And about three times in a row(yes I actually went that many times Because coworkers wanted to) my serve did not bring my soup out before my main course salad how I had asked. I had always been a fan of LaRosa's growing up, but I have not found myself eating here by choice in recent years just because it isn't outstanding and I am not a huge fan of pizza. However, I do enjoy their yummy pizza sauce because it is on the sweeter side and I appreciate the simplicity of their pizzas. First off upon walking in the store I was greeted by a friendly and smiling host, that's rare at alot of restaurants unfortunately. I was seated quickly and my server Jessica greeted me quickly and brought me a drink and explained the lunch menu. The food was fantastic! I enjoyed a Big Italian lunch consisting of a Jojo salad and a chicken bacon ranch pizza. I must say the food is above average! Have had issues with this location in the past about order correctness, but thought I'd give them another shot. I ordered online and paid online. My food was delivered within the time frame they said it would be and was accurate. 40 minutes later the driver knocked on my door and said the store sent him back and that I still owed $5 and showed me the receipt. I called the 347-1111 line and spoke with a supervisor that indicated they had a "glitch in their system" that they didn't charge me correctly on my online order, so when my card was processed, it wasn't charged enough. I didn't have a problem paying for something but I had 2 conflicting invoices and they sent a driver out like I was some sort of thief to collect their money. And also, the amount owed still wasn't correct, it was only $4. Larosas, you need to get your acts together; don't punish your driver for a computer glitch and customer service should be worth more than $4.00 to you. I don't call up each time with the missing kids drinks and yogurt and ask for credit- I just deal with it. I paid my $4 difference but you've lost a customer with this being the last straw. Disappointing carry out service. Showed up at the estimated pick up time and food wasn't yet ready. This wasn't an issue at first, and given it was Saturday evening, it was somewhat expected. After waiting 15 minutes I asked how long they expected the order to be. I was told they were waiting on our kids mac and cheese, and they would go check into it. After another 10 minutes, I was told it would be just a few more minutes. I asked for the manager and was then told that they were still waiting on the other kids chicken tenders meal. I was told they were running behind on appetizers, and given a $10 reduction in my order. My assumption is that they first failed to pull the mac and cheese for the order and once that was finally ready they realized they forgot the chicken tenders. After 35-40 minutes had passed we finally received our food. When we returned home we found the mac and cheese to be extremely watery/soupy and the side of bbq sauce had spilled all over the chicken tenders and fries because the lid was not properly secured. After returning home to find the poor quality mac and cheese and having bbq sauce spilled on the chicken and fries (which our child then didn't want to eat), I wished I had just requested a full refund and taken my business elsewhere.
