I've used them at least three times in the past year--on two of my listings as well as at my own home--and every experience has been outstanding. One of my listings was vandalized, and J's Windows was able to replace the damaged double-pane windows incredibly quickly, helping us get the home back in showing condition with minimal delay. Most recently, a pane of glass in my backyard sliding door broke. I reached out to Heather at 1:35 p.m. on a Friday, and by 4:20 p.m. the window had already been replaced! I know that kind of turnaround isn't always possible, but I got lucky because they had the exact piece of glass in stock. Rather than making me wait through the weekend, Heather immediately sent her crew out to take care of it. Their team was prompt, professional, and left everything spotless. If you're in the San Jose area and need window repair or replacement, I highly recommend J's Windows. They consistently provide exceptional service and have earned my trust time and time again.

We had a really great experience with Gilroy Glass, and especially with Steve…read more We did a pretty large project with them. They installed new glass shower enclosures in six bathrooms, about 5 very large mirrors in our home gym, and a glass enclosure for a wine display. The quality of the work and the installation was excellent, but what impressed me just as much was the communication and consistent excellent customer service. One of our bathrooms had a somewhat unusual situation because the shower door is the same for our sauna. We needed a special handle that was metal on the shower side and wood on the sauna side. It took some work to figure to find something that would work, and Steve really went out of his way to research it and come up with a solution. Months after the install, that handle unexpectedly started to corrode. I brought it up to Steve, and there was absolutely no runaround. He took care of it right away and actually had a new custom handle made so we wouldn't have the same problem again. The new one looks even better than the original. We also had a couple of small things that needed attention after we moved back into the house--some sealant and a couple of the plastic water seals around the shower doors. Again, they were responsive and helpful and took care of everything. That kind of follow-up means a lot to me. It is one thing for a company to do a good job when they're getting paid to do the original project. It says a lot more about a company when, a year later, you call them with a relatively small issue and they are still just as responsive and willing to help. I would absolutely use Morgan Hill Glass again and would highly recommend them for shower enclosures, mirrors, custom glass work, or anything along those lines. Steve was exemplary to work with.

He installed the glass and then changed his mind and stated the warranty was void because of size and weight. He was the one who recommended that size and weight. In addition, he refused to provide a final paid invoice for some weird reason. I don't know if this is to circumvent the IRS or what. He also made weird comments about we did not have the right to be in the room where the work was being done. Again, this was very strange behavior. I had to correct him that he was in our home and we would go wherever we wanted to. He also tried to use the threat of sending a Gilroy PD Detective you our home to deliver the invoice which again I found very odd. Use him at your own risk, he does not conduct business in a professional way.

He was very professional, patient, and willing to answer any and all questions. He's a very good communicator. Everything post Covid seems higher in cost, so there was some sticker shock from the bid, but it seemed like his pricing was in line with the other bids we got. The fact that he is also a licensed contractor reassured us that he would not only be able to replace the windows but also be trained enough in general construction to be able to find the source of the leak and fix it. As a general contractor, he has connections in the trades and brought in a sheet metal worker who did a great job providing solutions and extra protections against the leaks. We feel pretty confident, but the true test will be this winter if we have strong storms with lots of rain. There was a problem at the end, but Winnifred did the right thing and fixed it, standing behind his work with integrity. Overall great customer service, communication, and quality workmanship.
