It was hard to find someone willing to cut a piece of single pane glass for a decent price, until we called Glassworks by design. When I picked up the glass a very nice man brought it to my car for me and explained what to use to adhere the glass to the frame. The office lady was extremely kind, there was also a man that helped us (the owner maybe?). This was an upbeat experience and I highly recommend them. My shower glass is great and I can use my new shower now. This is a 5 star business by all accounts but the time it took to get it right took some time. 3 times to be exact. Once for a scratch and a imperfection in a corner and twice for fitting or alignment. The scratch and imperfection weren't there fault but was put in and set. The two alignment visits could of been avoided if there scheduling wasn't so tight... I think? Other than these small inconveniences this business is great. Perfect customer service in all ways. We needed several windows replaced due to leakage and old age. We chose Winnifred because he was so generous with his time explaining things and offering us separate bids for replacing some or all of the windows. He was very professional, patient, and willing to answer any and all questions. He's a very good communicator. Everything post Covid seems higher in cost, so there was some sticker shock from the bid, but it seemed like his pricing was in line with the other bids we got. The fact that he is also a licensed contractor reassured us that he would not only be able to replace the windows but also be trained enough in general construction to be able to find the source of the leak and fix it. As a general contractor, he has connections in the trades and brought in a sheet metal worker who did a great job providing solutions and extra protections against the leaks. We feel pretty confident, but the true test will be this winter if we have strong storms with lots of rain. There was a problem at the end, but Winnifred did the right thing and fixed it, standing behind his work with integrity. Overall great customer service, communication, and quality workmanship. Called, guy said text him a picture of my sliding glass door. He quoted me $1000 for glass door replacement via text, I said I'm fine with that price. He texts back asking what brand the door is. I said I didn't know, he asked me to find out because if it's a certain door he can't replace it. I said I just moved into my home and I have no information on anything in the home here. He never replied to my last text. I was assuming he'd come here and find out what kind of door it is and then replace it. But I guess that responsibility lies on the customer. The door itself is very nice but more than anything the installer and stucco repair work was excellent! Great workmanship and very nice to work with. There was a small chip on door handle they were happy to replace the handle without any problems. Would highly recommend them! Since my neighbor used Glasswork by Design I decided to give them a try. I'm very happy I did. Winnifred & company installed laminate Milgard windows in my bedroom. I bought the "Style Line Series." (The "Tuscany" Series is higher end and offers breakage replacement.) This is one of my few vendor experiences where everything happened as represented. The consultation was thorough; after deposit the manufacturer delivered on time; the installation fit my schedule, was completed on time, & well done; the exterior window frame painting matched my HOA specs. Unbelievably poor customer service and bad attitude. Words will probably elude me, but let me try. This guy Winifred, who I assume is the owner, just doesn't want business. After multiple phone calls and no show appointments, he just disclosed on a call all of his employee problems to me (confidence builder) and his other limitations to justify blowing me off. Just incredible how little enthusiasm he has for his business! Jaw-dropping! Like he is doing me a favor to even talk to me. At every turn, he creates some barrier to doing the work. We are talking a big job, a whole house window replacement. He actually asked me to go out and measure my windows to give me a quote. Surreal. I'm not kidding. Go anywhere else if you're smart. Great experience with Glasswork By Design and Winnifred's whole team. Initially I had them replace the main picture window in my house which is double pane approximately 6'x'6 on the second level of the house therefore required scaffolds etc to get to it. Took the whole window frame out, disassembled the frame, put in replacement glass, reassembled the frame, and reinstalled the window and it looks great! Took five guys to get it done, but they were super professional, efficient, and kept the job site neat. Was so impressed with the first job, I had them come back and replace three other windows where the dual pane seal was failing and the windows were getting cloudy. They held the custom windows for me in their warehouse for a year since I postponed the install due to Covid and were super nice about it. I finally scheduled the install for this week and they came and did a great job on all three windows, including tracking down some hard to find replacement weather moulding which they replaced on several of the windows while they had the frames disassembled. Just a great experience overall, I have lots of windows in the house so I'm sure I'll be calling them again!!! read more

Glasswork By Design was recommended to us while we were remodeling our bathroom shower and I couldn't be happier with their quality, speed, and service. When we first met Glasswork By Design, Winnifred came to our house, showed us options for the door, and even had samples so that we could see the different thicknesses of glass. We were able to get a customized height for the glass and pick brackets and door handle types but we were offered options to customize way more than I ever thought. I once went to Home Depot to get a quote prior to meeting Glasswork and just the glass door alone at Home Depot was nearly the same price and that did not include installation. This is the second time I had work done by Glasswork by Design and I couldn't be happier. The first was replacement of a window broken by a goat. From first call to done work was three days and the repairman cleaned up all the broken glass which the goat had left scattered around on the porch and in the grass. The second job was replacing a sliding glass door glass broken by a lawn mower thrown rock. This took a little longer because the glass was special order but I was kept informed of every step of the process and when the glass came in, they were out the next day to install it. Again, a flawless installation and all cleaned up before they left. Very impressed with Winnifred's service and the sub contractors he used to install our two sets of sliding french doors. He was extremely knowledgeable, gave a fair quote, and his sub contractors that he used were clean and thorough. I did not feel like I had to keep my eye on workmanship which is number one with me. I could easily see they could see they had the experience and skill set which was needed to get this job done properly.
