It has been a saga having our Dutch door installed. We bought a full set of windows and the door…read morefrom Taylor and OotW. The windows are excellent quality but we had a couple issues with leaks in two new sliders, which even though likely the cause was related to the contractor's installation, Taylor went out of his way to fix the issues and now no leak. As for the front Dutch door, we ended up having four doors installed, as the first three were either flawed or mis-cut. Taylor could have easily cut bait after the first door but he saw it through to the end and we got the perfect door. I am sure he lost money on the door, but they did it anyway. Much appreciated. By the way, Robbie, the installer was courteous, prompt and professional. Ultimately, although the whole experience was stressful and could have gone much smoother, Taylor was a standup guy and I would use the company again.

We chose Winnifred because he was so…read moregenerous with his time explaining things and offering us separate bids for replacing some or all of the windows. He was very professional, patient, and willing to answer any and all questions. He's a very good communicator. Everything post Covid seems higher in cost, so there was some sticker shock from the bid, but it seemed like his pricing was in line with the other bids we got. The fact that he is also a licensed contractor reassured us that he would not only be able to replace the windows but also be trained enough in general construction to be able to find the source of the leak and fix it. As a general contractor, he has connections in the trades and brought in a sheet metal worker who did a great job providing solutions and extra protections against the leaks. We feel pretty confident, but the true test will be this winter if we have strong storms with lots of rain. There was a problem at the end, but Winnifred did the right thing and fixed it, standing behind his work with integrity. Overall great customer service, communication, and quality workmanship. We would definitely recommend Winnifred and Glasswork by Design.

I sent out a few emails to local window companies - one didn't even get back to me, one gave me a very high quote, another said the whole window had to be replaced (?!), and then there's South Valley Windows. Regina emailed me back quickly and asked all the right questions. She knows her windows and what she's talking about. She gave me a reasonable quote, put in the order for the replacement parts and said it would take a couple weeks to arrive. The parts arrived much faster than that and Joe reached out to schedule a time for the replacement. Mike came over shortly after and replaced the springs in just a few minutes - it took me longer to move the couch out of the way for him than for him to actually do the job! I know this was a small job compared to what you typically do, but I really appreciate how professional and friendly everyone was and how easy the whole process was. I'm sure we'll need our windows serviced again in the future, and I will definitely be using South Valley Windows.
