I will be filing a formal complaint with the better business bureau as well as on yelp for how rude tashya is being with the only black customer I'm sure that has paid cash for a car. Not only was she rude when I inquired about my metal plates she also was rude when I inquired about my registration sticker. Then said she didn't want to talk to me anymore and hung up on me. I did not say anything ugly. I did not raise my voice and I told her she was being very aggressive. She has to be related to someone to still work there. BUYER BEWARE OF Micheal Inkster did not disclosed all info as should have been. Spent most of the time beating around the bush as salesmen do. Talked his way around things the whole time instead of the truth. The car was advertised as 11500 and he upped the car price to 13000. He said they had to up the price to get it financed.It was never disclose to me that they charged me 13000 and added all these unecessary gap and maintance insurance for an extra 1500. He showed numbers but beat around the bush of over charging for the vehicle. Car advertised as 11500 put down 5000 financed 10500 do the math????? Does not add up to me, This guy is a crook and cares less about the customers best interests, he is more concerned about the sale and ripping people off. So before you do business with this place or Mike you should reconsider. Sad that people can be so dishonest. I had numerous conversations with Robert before I gave him the money for the car. Since then........complete silence. The car came with no additional key FOB, no spare tire, no owners manual, and no door over the gas tank (promised to buy) and no concern for the customer. The car is running OK so far but I don't trust these guys as far as I can throw them. I made a huge mistake giving them my business and I urge you to not make the same mistake. read more

All the good reviews they have are fake and forced by him DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THESE PEOPLE I first bought a Chrysler 200 off the lot I thought it was a nice car till the next day it was blowing fumes out of the ac and would fog the windshield when you drive it. so I swapped it for a 2011 dodge charger it looked like a nice car and micheal promised it was a great vehicle and had no issues cause it was his own car so like an idiot I trusted him. I swapped vehicles and was very happy about my decision... till one week later the check engine light comes on turns out it had mechanical issues and electrical issues when I bought it they just flashed the computer so the check engine light wouldn't show. I go back to the dealership to have them fix it and told me they wouldn't fix it and tried to make it seem like it was my fault. The car also came with a broken window that they said will fix then made ME pay for it. He also had glued the armrest of the door so one day when I went to shut the door the whole armrest came right off. The car was literally falling apart on me. the car ended up braking down on me and they still did nothing to help at this point I was so fed up with these people and this car I decided to give the car back and they wouldn't give me back the 5k I put into this car these people are not genuine and do not have the best interest for you, hands down the worst dealership I've EVER been to. And their receptionist tonya is a total bitch I was one day late on my payments and they threatened to repo the car she is always in a bad mood, rude and not helpful whatsoever. When I decided to return the car after it broke down she made me tow it back over there and whined about how they can't spend money on a tow truck because the money they lost on ME. They didn't loose any money they stole $5,000 from me! I also asked politely if she could please help me out cause I lost my job and she told me she doesn't care about my personal issues and she threatened to ruin my credit if I didn't return the car. All in all, Gino and his team of bandits have no business in selling cars every car on the lot is junk that they just polish to look good. when I first came to gilliam auto sells I had horrible customer service and issues with everyone there not helping me with anything, but then Michael inkster came in and started giving me the best help I've had helping me fix everything the other people wouldn't fix and actually taking the time out of his day to communicate with me about everything. overall Michael has came through and is definitely the best there! read more

Yelp made me put one star! If I could put a negativev it would be better. I went into Gilliam cash in hand ready to buy a car. When Mr Gilliam Himself comes out and says what do you need. (umm..I am in a car lot) I smile (maybe no one taught him basic manners) I say I'd like to take a better look at his Kia Sedona. He says (rudely and a matter of factly) it's stick shift! Uh, ok, that's perfect, just what I'm looking for. So he luggs into his office and brings out the keys. After seeing how well taken care of it appears inside I ask him for a test drive. He pulls it out. (almost hitting the fencing that it's backed up to, so apparently HE doesn't know how to drive stick) As he's pulling up the car I notice smoke and the cigarette in his mouth! A CIGARETTE! Hello!! I'm about to buy this car, I don't want you smoking in it!! I walk around the side of the car laughing in disbelief. I say, "uh, are actually smoking in the car I'm about to test drive?" before I can Finnish my question he SCREAMS at me "ma'am, ma'am this is not a cigarette!" I don't care what you call it, cigarette, e cig, pipe...I said "I'm sorry but that's disgusting I don't want to breath that crap. "He is still steaming mind you. "Its not disgusting, it's not real smoke!" I don't care if it's strawberry flavered, I still don't want my daughter or myself to breath that in. I tell him it's still nasty. He told me to shut up! I bought a car from them less than a year ago. Had some issues and still has some issues. They fixed some of them and I fixed some of them. My payments are due on the 23rd of the month. I made my payment this morning on the 24th at 820am. So it was a little late. Let me tell you the owner cussed me out one side and down the other. Every other word started with the F word. Never been late before. He went on cussing and said the next time I am late he is going to repo my car. Not that he can do that being only 1 day late. As a business owner in the area if I was to cuss my customers out I would sure not have any customers. So would I recommend buying a car from him again? That would be a big NO! read more

Actually, I wish I could give him, what he gave me; ( a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, knowing that someone stole $4,000. from his family, and there's not a damn thing that he can do about it ) I was driving by the Gilliam Auto Sales ( which should be named 'Gilliam Junk Sales' ) [ I have a 96 Buick Century that has been on it's last mile for quite some time now. It is sitting in my driveway and needs a new transmission, among a lot of other things.] So, I was driving by in my daughters car....... WHEN, I look over and see this silver 2004 Land Rover, with the reusable price stickers on it: "$3,200 Cash. Well, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, so I make the block. Sure enough; that's what it said. So I park and get out to check this baby out. Clean, smelled good, great interior, floors etc. - great stereo/CD package, speakers sound great at a really high volume, cold AC; a little better than fair tires (not great, but ) -- ran quiet, --- Geno comes straggling out of his office and ask me: "Whatcha think"? I said: "Boy! This is nice". He says: "Me and Pedro or Pete or something like that, is gonna take it to get it inspected. Hop on in, if you want a ride to see what it's like. It'll be about 3 hours ( to which, I did not have 3 hours -- I had to get my daughter's car back to her ) I said: "No, that's alright, I'll come back tomorrow.". Well....... I was there early the next day. Geno comes crawling out of the woodwork and talks a bunch of mumbo jumbo, and then asks me if I wanted to drive it. I said absolutely I do. So, I take her for a spin. Traffic was buzzing on 281, but I drove her all the way to Lowe's Home Improvement and then back to 1431, down to the McDonald's street -- and... then back to "Bend Over Auto Sales" It ran fine! Smooth, quiet...no problems. SO....... I told Geno "I want it" My family has had it rough. We're "lower middle". And like I said, the Buick was ready for the automobile graveyard. We needed something a little bigger anyway. The Land Rover would fit all of our needs, and we wouldn't have to worry for a while. You should have seen all their faces when I turned into the driveway. It was like we won the lottery or something. Well....... here we go. THE VERY NEXT DAY....... We all found out that the driver's side window was the only one that would roll down. And "THAT EVENING" I had to go to HEB for supper. As I was pulling out of the parking space to go home, a man in front of me was waving his arms, so I stopped and got out. "Looks like your leaking antifreeze" the man said. My heart sunk. "Am I? Are you sure that's not from the air conditioner" I asked. I bent down and put my fingers in it; smelled it, and sure enough, it was antfreeze. I felt sick on the ride home. I didn't run the air conditioner and kept an eye on the transmission fluid from then on. In a little more than a week, I noticed that the Land Rover was having trouble keeping compression. I had to almost floor board it to get it to go at all. I wanted to cry. I was sick and hurt and pissed off all at the same time. So, I DID floor it. It sounded terrible and it jerked real hard, so I let off the gas, and drove it straight home. I talked to Geno about it, and he acted as he couldn't care less. I told him that I was disabled and on a fixed income and couldn't afford a bunch of repairs. He said I'm not interested in your health. He really didn't care. I must have been really naive. I thought....... Well, I don't know what I thought. I still believe in humanity, but Geno doesn't fit in that category. He's a thief. I DO hope that people read these reviews before they buy. This is the worst car dealership I've ever visited. Geno Gilliam must be the owner or a close relative or he wouldn't have a job. He's annoyed if he has to look something up if you ask him a question about a car. They are all locked and you can't open the door unless HE goes to get the key and he's not happy about it. After you look at the car he wants you to buy it or you just wasted his time. Most of the cars I looked at had very high mileage and looked worn and dirty. He quotes you a purchase price for financing the car, but it goes up by about $2k if you want to pay cash. Gilliam is rude, disrespectful, and has terrible people skills. The cars he sales aren't worth the work and money you'd have to put into them. Today we looked at a car that was literally taped and glued together and we got yelled at for asking questions, rasing concerns, and after having the car looking at by someone else our gut instinct that we were getting ripped off were proven.
