The sales team was very professional and had me extremely satisfied with my purchase of the 2026 Jeep gladiator Rubicon I bought. Unfortunately I've had now my third electronic problem on this 2026 Rubicon. I can't seem to get the garage door opener on the driver side visor to open my garage door. After spending about a half an hour with everybody that could help me at Cecil's in Burnet, we all gave up. I have an appointment there tomorrow and they will check out my electronics on the jeep. ADDING TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW of approx two years ago below... In May of this year, 2024, I took my 2012 Grand Cherokee into Cecil Atkissin's service dept with 207,000 miles. It needed a new driveshaft, which is a covered part under my MOPAR Lifetime Warranty, which I purchased in 2012. Over the past few years their service dept has given me terrific service and has made multiple repairs under this warranty, saving me a lot of money. However, this time MOPAR approved the repair, but did not produce a MOPAR approved part for several months, and would not or could not even give me a date upon which I could expect the part to arrive for the repair. After over three months of not having my car available for my use, I asked Kristen Meredith, General Manager, to install a new aftermarket driveshaft, which I paid for and subsequently submitted to MOPAR for payment. They refused payment after multiple attempts to get my reimbursement, because I had them install an aftermarket driveshaft not approved by MOPAR. Out of total frustration I asked the dealership to get actively involved to help and they did!! Kristen Meredith and Tate Richburg got fully engaged and after a couple of weeks of aggressive action on their part, I am picking up my reimbursement for $2,104 on Monday. I'm mad at myself it was a battery issue after all. I was told one battery was bad and the other would had to be charged up. I elected to go ahead and replace both. With the wrecker fee ($140) included they charged me $1,080. This 2500 Ram would have been purchased here but when I was with the salesman in 2018 he was taken away by the finance manager to put a license plate on a customers vehicle. Wish we'd read the reviews here before buying a car from this dealership. At the beginning of October an older family member bought a (2 year old, low mileage) 2021 "certified used" Hyundai Accent with an original warranty, and also purchased an extended warranty. The car turned out to be defective and does not run! It's now the last week of DECEMBER and during this ENTIRE TIME she's had the car in her possession for ONE WEEK. It's been un-drivable for over 2 months, and nobody here is doing anything to help resolve this. Hyundai says warranty is void because the car was "tampered with" before she bought the car -and the dealership never saw the problem! Then Cecile Motors actually had the nerve to insinuate that SHE TAMPERED with the car --so they would not have to pay to fix it!! Why would a senior citizen who knows nothing about cars buy a car that came WITH A WARRANTY try to fix it herself? Sautering wires together. This makes no sense. The General Manager William Juarez agreed to provide a loaner car starting the day after Christmas and then refused to provide it, claiming he never agreed to it. He said this just to buy more time. Now it's been 2 weeks since he's been involved and he still has not moved forward authorizing payment on the repair. (The dealership did provide a loaner for 2 two weeks when it was initially brought back, but then made her return it by saying they were going to charge her $65/day. So she's been without a car the whole rest of the time). She is not able to earn income without a car to drive for work, and they still won't do the right thing. She continues to make car payments for the defective, non-working "certified" car they sold her that is not even in her possession. This is a nightmare that won't seem to end. Second visit with this small town dealer. They are way understaffed and sadly small dealers just don't get it. Had an appointment today at 8:30am and was there promptly and I was confronted with a line of trucks waiting to be checked in, not one, not two, not three a line. Finally after talking to a couple people I knew from LLano, the service advisor ask me to move my truck up. 2019 Ram.....for a warranty service. My infotainment system was acting up and the advisor let me know there might be a wait all day to complete the check on the unit and only one guy a young man could do it. I had even contacted RAM though a car forum and had the Technical Serviced Bulletin number available on had. I left and will never come back nor buy a vehicle here. Within 5 minutes of meeting Tracey the sales lady I explained that I was looking for a flat tow vehicle to pull behind my motor home and I wanted a hitch with my deal. She said "absolutely ". I also asked her NOT to run my credit until she made sure tow bar was included and available. She said "yes it's all good". Got the call about being approved trade in numbers and all. I agreed to all of it. Then Anita says to me " I am not aware of this tow bar. Calls back and says to me that she wants to charge me more for that after I was told it was part of my " deal". I purchased a used vehicle from Dustin Rogers the GM for the dealership. It was a purchase that I absolutely wish I had not. This dealership knowingly sold me a vehicle that was in need of approximately 12k in safety repairs. upper and lower ball joints, brakes, calipers and rotors all around, EGR and emissions related items. I spoke to the dealership many times over 6 weeks time and was given the runs around. Dustin and the entire management team are far from professional. I am not a mechanic so I was relying on them to conduct an honest business. Horrible service. Bought our 2016 Ram 1500 at this dealership. Started to break down mid -August 2021. Service manager, advisor 'diagnosed' problem as electrical harness. Replaced it and then claimed it was the computer. Couldn't get part for two weeks; no idea how hard they tried. The part came in ( or so we were told by one guy and then another said it would arrive later that day). Phone calls NEVER returned and when we complained, service manager said he could 'fix that' but it was calls to HIM that weren't returned also! Service advisor rude and condescending; when the harness replacement didn't fix the problem he remarked that it was a 'cascade' of problems and when my husband asked for clarification he explained that a cascade is 'like a waterfall ' instead of explaining specifically what issues were detected. After the computer part was replaced, service advisor stated that something was wrong with injectors. When we expressed dismay with an ever changing story, he said 'not my fault Chrysler can't diagnose the problem' Then after they claimed the injectors were the problem, after now 3.5 weeks, service advisors and managers claimed they couldn't get to repairing it because they were 'short staffed' and tech was out sick! No accountability, very bad communication and very disrespectful! Will never purchase a vehicle or seek service from Cecil Atkission Motor Group again! I recently bought a used truck from them i had it for 3 days and had to return due to differential leaks and oil leaks, after a week they informed me it was ready i picked the truck up drove it back and immediately noticed it was all leaking again. So i returned it back and this time they had it for a month, I finally get the truck back take it to 2 jobs and my motor blew on it. I had to replace motor on my own because Cecil Atkinson refuses to help out on this issue which put me in debt 15k. They claim they did there part by " changing the oil on it", I also have a report from a ford dealership stating there were missing and broken bolts on the motor mount and broken bolts in the rear brake system. NOTE: This review refers to Kerrville Location. Never buy an As-Is used car without having your personal mechanic check it out first. These cars are often just cleaned and turned around. I bought a Land Rover HSE Lux without doing that and two months after the purchase the engine light came on. I took it to my mechanic who found * Rear brakes needed immediately. Front brakes soon. * Control arm bushings need replacing * Belts are frayed And 32 trouble codes showed up. I contacted a service expert at Land Rover San Antonio who said I was looking at $9000 or more to get the 8-year-old car repaired. There was not a good resolution. Peolple beware of the service department at the Cecil Chrysler Dodge dealer in Uvalde TX. The service manager is a liar an they will screw you if they get the chance. I'm a mechanic an have been for years but they told me i had to have parts that we obsolete not true because it broke again an the parts are at oreilys. There tech lied an on top of that didn't put it back together right after having the vehicle for 2 months. Then the charged me $1400.00 for a $60.00 part and it took me 30 minutes to fix it myself. I even called an talked to them several times an they kept giving me the run around. Finally got the car back an it did the same exact thing in about 3 months so i did the repair myself to check their work an found out what they are up too there. Just be carefull the service manager is not an honest person in anyway shape form or fashion the are just about the numbers. Just went in for an oil change, I was greeted by Marissa on the service drive, she quickly went out took down my VIN identification number found out what type of filter I needed quickly and efficiently getting my job done. When I got my vehicle back she made sure my vehicle was vacuumed. I looked at a few cars while I was there. Nathan was very professional as well as his assistant Tyler, who he was training in customer service. Lately I have been coming here to get the last 4 oil changes for my truck. The employee's here in the service lane are all real nice. I normally come in between 8am to 9am since its that early they are not all that busy yet, so the waiting time is normally around 20 minutes which is fine to me. The waiting room has plenty of magazines, and a nice size tv . Overall the best part about being in the waiting room is the free water and coffee :). read more

We purchased a used truck from them back in September of 2018. The following month, October the truck began leaking oil. We brought it in they said they did not see anything wrong with it. The next week my husband was driving it to work when the check engine light came on. He pulled over and checked the oil and it was completely empty. It had no oil. We had it towed back to Cecil. Needless to say they had our truck for a couple of months going back and forth with Chrysler on what do in order to replace the motor. Luckily we had purchased the extended warranty. They ended up putting in a used, rebuilt motor. The next thing the starter went out. We bought the extended warranty so we got that replaced but now the headlights will not work. The truck has given us nothing but problems. We tried to go back in there recently to get a newer truck. The gentleman apologies and let us know he new all the trouble we had with the lemon we bought and he was going to do whatever he could to make it right and get us into a new truck. He brought out the most basic 4X4 they had and told us how they were going to take a 8,000 hit on this truck to get us into it. Than he turns around to tell us he can only give us 12,000 for the truck they sold us and out payments were going to be over 700.00 a month. Which of course we could not do. Now they are stating that there is no such thing as a bumper to bumper warranty and it could cost us 140.00 just to look at and not even to fix the faulty aftermarket lights that came on the piece of crap they sold us. So I would not recommend Cecil for your next car buy. Since September we have had nothing but trouble and worry for the purchase we made and are still stuck paying for it. I would not wish this situation on my worst enemy. All we wanted was to be treated fairly and not be screwed around and most of all be able to have a since of security in the automobile we driver everyday without worry of breaking down. read more

We have given this service department many, many chances and they are terrible! We bought a Dodge truck five years ago (not from this place) and have been taking it here for service ever since then. The only time we had good service was the very first oil change when they had a different service manager since then it's been downhill. When we have been there for oil changes and recalls they made us feel like we were bothering them and we were to much trouble. Recently we had another recall so my husband called them to make an appointment for service. They said they didn't have the part and would call when they did. Weeks went by and we never heard from them. I suggested we call the dealer in Fredericksburg. My husband called them and the only question they asked was when do you want to come in. We made an appointment, they got us right in and was done in about an hour. We will never go back to Cecil Atkisson again!!! read more

Do Not! I repeat..Do not do business with Cecil Motors! Monday, Dec 30, 2013, I went into Cecil motors in Burnet, Texas and purchased a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT crew cab pickup with 119548 miles on it for $17327.19 (which comes out to $19,000.00 after financing), a nice truck, loaded, leather seats, thought it was a good deal. The sales manager Jeff Stratton came over and said we were getting a great deal and that he knew that truck personally and that I wouldn't have any problems with it even gave me the original paperwork with all the receipts that the previous owner had put into the truck. Fast forward 1 week- Monday, January 6, 2014 7:00 a.m. my wife went out to start the truck, cold morning, temps in the 30s, got in 30 minutes later to take my 12 year old daughter to school and head to work, the heaters not working, she drives approximately 9 miles in this frigid weather with no heat to drop my daughter off and head to work, as she pulls into the parking lot the dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree, the windows wont roll down, the truck wont lock or unlock with the remote and all electronic controls are not working. She calls me and tells me about it. I crutch out (by the way my right leg is crushed from an auto accident in September so keep in mind that I am on crutches throughout all of this) get in my old Chevy truck and go switch vehicles with her taking the Dodge across the street to where I bought it. I went in a told Jeff Stratton what was going on and was brought back to the service department and assured that they would take a look at it, I asked what it was going to cost me and was told "It doesn't cost anything for us to take a look" So I left the truck. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 I was called and told that the TIPM (some sort of fuse block) had fried and they had located one in Dallas that they should have the next day, I asked how much it was going to cost and was told that the sales department said they were going to take care of it. Thursday, January 9, 2014 I called and inquired about my truck, was told the part had been delayed and that I would get a call when they found out about the part..... No call back Friday, January 10, 2014 received a call from the girl in the service department, told it would be Monday before they got the part...the weekend comes and goes... Monday, January 13, 2014 about 2:30 pm I called to see if they got the part...was told it would be in Wednesday and that they would call me when the part came in to let me know they got it Wednesday, January 15, 2014 9:30 a.m. I called the service department...was told the part was delayed again and that they would get it Monday, I asked if they had a loaner car program or something I could drive while my truck was in the shop..Was told she would check on it and call me back...4 hours go by no phone call, I crutch myself into my truck and drive down to the dealership. I went straight to Mr. Stratton's desk and told him what had happened. He appeared to be shocked that they still had my truck and asked if I had been offered a loaner, I told him no. He called the service department and was told that they had the part and the truck would be fixed the following day. At this time I told him that I was uncomfortable with purchasing this truck and wanted another vehicle. He said he didn't blame me and brought me over to a sales woman by the name of Diana Nixon who was told to go through the inventory and see what she could put me in for around the same price, she said she would take a look for me and get back with me either that evening or the following morning. They then gave me a loaner car, a Chevrolet captiva or something like that, it was dirty inside and out but I took it anyways. As I pulled out the service manager Chris Taylor came out and apologized for the inconvenience and told me that it was common for the TIPM to go out (way to be reassuring) I told Diana to keep going through the inventory and drove off. Before getting out of the parking lot the low tire sensor light came on...ever try to air up a tire on crutches in 30 degree weather? Thursday, January 16, 2014 I woke up and sat at my computer and went through the Cecil Atkission inventory and emailed and called a few times to give them stock numbers of vehicles I might be interested in. I finally got Diana on one of the phone calls and was told she was waiting for a call back from one of the dealerships to see if the vehicle was still in inventory and was told she would call me back...I called the dealership and was told that it was in fact in stock and they could ship it out asap. Diane called me about 3:30 and said my truck was ready, I said I didn't want it...she asked if I would drive it for a day or two and see if I liked it...I said no..she said they would put a 1 year or 12000 mile warranty on the part, I said no, she said "you signed an as is no warranty agreement" I drove to the dealership and crutched in.
