Very disappointing experience. Before purchasing the car, I told salesperson it was shaking while breaking. He acknowledged the issue and said it was probably the rotors. I bought the car with that understanding. After the purchase I discovered a major safety issue: one of the seatbelts was completely missing. I brought the car back, and while they did install a seatbelt, they refused to fix breaking issue. They claimed the brakes were fine and blamed the shaking on a tire. Because this is a serious safety concern, I took the car in to an independent mechanic. I was told the issue was not the tires, the dealership had installed old, worn- out rotors. I am frustrated that safety issues were acknowledged before the sale but not properly repaired afterward. I strongly recommend getting an independent inspection before buying from this dealership! read more

I dropped my car off on 12/18/23 for an inspection. A broken axle was found. The part needed to be ordered. I was told the car would be done by Wednesday the latest, the part would be in the next day. I would hear from them as soon as the part is in and they start working on my car. Wednesday (12/20/23) comes around and I had not heard back, so I call to find out that the employee who took my car in was now on a vacation. So I ask to speak to someone else in the Service department. Another guy checked and let me know the part now has an ETA of Thursday (12/21/23), I will have my car Friday (12/22/23) and I would get a call as soon as it's done. Friday comes around and I don't get a call or text message all day long again. So I call in again, get a mailbox, have to leave a message, and hope to hear back. Later, I do get a message letting me know that the part never made it in. I will have to wait a few more days but I would have the car back by 12/28 the latest, guaranteed! I ask if they could let me know when the part makes it in. The guy promises me he will. I don't hear anything AGAIN, so I call on 1/2/24!!!, to get a status update. Again, have to wait for someone to reply etc., not once did anybody reach out to me ever. I get a text message and ask them if the part came in which it did but I would not get my car until 1/5/24! (Friday) I ask to speak to a manager and get a phone call from the director of the Service department, Luis V., who is extremely unfriendly and impolite. Doesn't own anything on what went wrong on their end, lack of communication etc., and tells me that the part came in on 12/27!!! I explained that I can't wait another week for the car to finally be worked on especially when the part has been in for a week and nobody felt it was necessary to let me know although I was told they would. Luis raises his voice and tells me to feel free and take my car somewhere else. I would never buy a car at that dealership again after this poor customer experience. I have been a customer of 12 years, that you now lost. Telling a customer to go somewhere else when it is you who is not communicating with the customer and is unreliable, is very rude. The only person that proved to be reliable and extremely polite was Curtis in the Service department. He was great and apologized for the poor experience. read more

Purchased a fiat in 2018 from Nyle Maxwell FIAT : Went to trade in our the vehicle at another dealership just to find out that the VIN doesn't match the sales paperwork. Never would I have thought this needed to be checked, that's on me but thinking I was buying from a reputable dealership I never thought twice. Essentially we have been making payments on a car for four years that doesn't even exist... so shame on you for selling me a car that was either stolen or salvaged! I was playing with my cars settings and accidentally turned on the maintenance alert on. And then a week later an alert showed up on my phone and vehicle. I called the dealer and they said I don't need to setup a reservation but just bring it in. So I decided to drive all the way to the dealer a few days later thinking it was time for an oil change. I arrived at the dealer and pull into the service center. A service representative came out to greet me. He checked my speedometer and we went inside. He had to deal with another customer so I went to the wait room and explored. They sell some apparel but the good stuff was not in my size. I got a free cup of coffee and saw donuts that looked old. A tv was on showing the news about some shooting in Europe. There is also a small play area for the little ones. The room is bordered by a glass wall where you can see vehicles being worked on. After all this exploring the service representative came back to say my car was ok and does not need to be serviced. He said car did not accumulate enough miles for a service and gave me some tips on when to bring it in. So will be back in a few months. read more

They gave me the runaround every time that I called to inquire about the car. I kept getting different dates for expected time the parts would arrive. They also kept telling me that the service representative that handled my transaction was no longer working there. Finally after 3 months, I picked up my car and took it somewhere else. My poor little Fiat would not start and I was bummed about not being able to figure out what it was. I finally had it towed to Maxwell Fiat for a check up. Dropped it off around 9am with Taylor. He was super friendly and took some notes. I honestly thought it would be Monday before I heard anything back(dropped it off Friday). About 3 hours later, Taylor calls me up.. I brace myself because I was sure they were gonna hit me over the head with a large estimate. He led with "diagnostic" is 130$.. I started doing math in my head.. thinking I was gonna have to donate plasma for 6mos.. Then Taylor tells me it was a transmission relay that was a $2 part. Total bill was $132.something and it was already fixed!! 3 hrs later and it was ready to go!! They even washed it up for me. Actually, I would give Nyle Maxwell 0 stars! I have had the worst experience I have ever had with this 2016 Fiat 500 X. I bought this vehicle fairly new as it only had 2000 miles. I let my brother drive it because I thought it felt jerky and was told by several people who I let drive that it was the transmission. I brought it in no less than 5 times and they did a diagnostic, stated nothing showed up and they are sorry they couldn't do anything. After the 5th time bringing it in I drove it home and it locked up on me in the middle of the freeway. Thank God no one was injured and it was right under 50k miles when it locked up on me so it was still covered by warranty which they couldn't deny. From this point they had my car for over 2 months and I finally got a new transmission. Next, I got a stating there was a RECALL on an oil leak for my model vehicle. I then brought it in and they took pictures of the dipstick and said drive it but DID NOT INFORM ME I couldn't drive over 1500 miles or the test is null and void. Without knowing of course I drove my car then had to start the test over again, this time SINCE I WAS INFORMED I made sure I didn't go over the mileage. I brought it in to get checked again and they proceeded to tell me I needed a new engine. I went to drop it off and they said they couldn't get the engine because of COVID. I proceeded to call again and they said the sales manager of service and all the advisors I had previously met with no longer worked there and had no documentation of my car needing a new engine. WHAT!?? Meanwhile, I had to have a vehicle to drive to work so I had to add oil myself due to the leak just so I could get to and from work to support my family as a single mom. I then took it in yet again and they put tape across the area provided to add oil and asked that I continue to drive this extremely unsafe vehicle. The final straw was recently driving on the freeway AGAIN and the A/C turned off and stated it was overheating. I got it towed and they say that there is no NO oil consumption happening at all. At this point they are telling me I need to pay for an oil sensor at $757 when it has never worked in the first place and they previously said I needed a new engine. I just went to pick my car up and drove literally 5 miles and my car overheated. They said a oil sensor does not overheat your engine. So then why when I opened my hood it almost burnt my face off. I am now again without a vehicle. I AM SO LIVID!! Not only does their service department have EXTREME turn over, no one has no CLUE what they are doing. Also, when reaching the General Manager he also could care LESS about the lemon of a car they sold me and ZERO concern about the safety of their customers. DO NOT EVER BUY A VEHICLE FROM NYLE MAXWELL. They are a scam and could care less about the valuable lives you are transporting in your lemon of a vehicle. There are some great people who work here but unfortunately, the management doesn't care at all about the customer and I would not recommend ever doing business with this dealership. I purchased a 2015 BMW X5 in January of 2020 and within the first week of owning the vehicle I noticed a problem with the rear air suspension. The right rear side of the vehicle would sit low when parked overnight and slowly fill within a minute or two after starting the car. Sharon, the sales rep I worked with on the purchase, emailed me a few days after the purchase and I sent her a video and explained the problem I noticed with the car. I don't want to throw her under the bus as she was great through the rest of the process.. but she never got back to me. No response. I brought the car in and the rep I talked with at your dealership said I'd have to wait at least 30 days until the warranty kicked in and it would be covered under warranty. It didn't affect the performance or drive of the car so this was fine. In August, it began to take longer to fill when starting the car so I brought it in to the Fiat dealership to get checked out. The maintenance guys checked it out and said it wasn't something they could take care of and told me to take it to BMW. They diagnosed the problem and got it fixed in a couple of days. The BMW rep called me while it was being fixed and said she was shocked that the 3rd party warranty that I purchased from the Nyle Maxwell dealership stated that they would not cover the repairs. She said she has worked with many non-BMW warranty dealers and she was shocked that this part was not covered. Total cost for the rear air suspension compressor and rear air spring and labor totaled $3,332.75 plus tax. I tried to contact the warranty provider directly and they were not helpful at all. The warranty that I purchased was from Riley Hebl in the finance department. I was not planning on getting a warranty through the Nyle Maxwell dealership but he convinced me after giving me the pitch while finalizing the financing of the vehicle. He made a good point that with a vehicle like the x5, any repairs would be pricey and if I went with the platinum package there would be no fear of future unforeseen costs, due to the comprehensive nature of the warranty. Unfortunately, Riley was no longer working at the dealership when I stopped in to ask about this issue earlier this year. Drew Barker handled it from there and did a terrific job trying to work with the warranty company to see if there was anything that could be done. He explained that the warranty I purchased was an inclusionary plan and explained the difference of an exclusionary plan. This was brand new to me and was never laid out when I made the purchase. The feeling that I got when I purchased the plan that was sold to me was that I was getting the most comprehensive plan out there. I tried several times to set up an appointment with the manager Brent Rayfield which was quite difficult. The finance guy, Drew, gave the manager the story and I was able to get a response through email. His only response about the issue: "I understand the frustration but the warranty does not include any wear items and it looks like that is a wear item. No warranties cover such repairs." He failed to even address the issue that I have documented evidence of this expensive problem within 3 days of the purchase and at many points my concerns were brushed off. So here we are. I spent $4,000 on a warranty that ended up covering $0 for a $3,332.75+tax problem that I discovered within days of purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. Once they made their sale, it seems that the management simply saw me as an annoyance and show absolutely no loyalty to their customers. I will absolutely never be working with them in the future. Very honest mechanic, as a single woman I always get nervous going into a mechanic to get my car looked at. They told me honestly what was wrong with my car and let me know it isn't worth the money to fix! They didn't try to sell me on a single thing. Just an oil change that I asked for. Also, when brought back for questions, they took the time to do a diagnostic again, topped off my oil, and didnt change me a thing! I purchased a used 2010 Mini Cooper S Convertible from this dealer December of 2012. I purchased the extended warranty for the vehicle.. Which thankfully I did. When my vehicle needed service, they told me I had to bring it to them. Unfortunate for me, because I know a great german auto shop that takes care of all my needs for me. Long story short, my vehicles thermostat got stuck open and I needed to get it replaced. I took my vehicle into Fiat of Austin, Nyle Maxwell dealership to get the service it needed. They gave me the slowest rental car fathomable. I was scared of driving it because merging onto the highway and taking unprotected lefts was very difficult. Very cheap company to be giving me the cheapest rental car Enterprise had to offer. At the end of this mess, I was given my car back after paying a 100 dollar deductible. Lo and behold, my air bag light is flashing on and off. I give Austin (The service manager) a call and he begins to tell me that this was a pre-existing issue and wasn't caused by his folks. I took my car over to Marioshop.. Check them out by the way, I wrote a review on them, good folks.. I took my car over to Marioshop and he diagnosed it and told me that the sensor that controls the air bag was torn off the bottom of the drivers seat and unplugged. TORN OFF THE DRIVERS SEAT AND UNPLUGGED... I'll let you guys figure that meaning out. Either the technician was WAY too rough on my seat or they intentionally unplugged it to have me come back in. Much to my surprise, this Fiat service department was if not better certainly equal to any of the dealerships for the above car manufacturers. I've been coming here over the years and I've had more negative experiences than positive. The worst thing that has happened here was my beats headphones that were in my back seat when I dropped my car off were stolen. Thankfully after I reached out to corporate, Fiat gave me a check to reimburse me for my loss (which is why I give them 1 extra star). They don't make appointments and you could have your car in there for 4 Days for them to work on it. After 2 Days with no car, I finally complained enough for them to give me a rental. Unlike some dealers that have cold hard no haggle prices. I would recommend this Nyle Maxwell Fiat to anyone. Yes as a consumer you've got to do your due diligence before you walk into any dealership, but if you know what you want and how much you think is fair market value of what you want to pay for the vehicle that your looking for. they will work with you. However - I do not recommend going into any dealer just blindly trusting anything and everything the salesman and finance guys says - again, do your own research before you walk in the building. This will be a long one. Short version: go elsewhere. I purchased a used Audi Q5 from here in July 2018, while I was living in Austin. They gave me a copy of the clean car fax, all good. Since I purchased the vehicle, they are the only place I take it for repairs. My career moved me almost 2 hours away, and I still drive to Austin to have my car serviced. On December 18, I dropped my car off for an appointment the following day. I was passing through and figured this way they had an entire day to address it. Anyway, on the 18th, I was looking at another used vehicle and essentially trade mine in. Told the sales guy what we wanted, and asked him to let me know if he had anything. He called me a couple hours later with something completely different than what I told him. About a week goes by, and he sends me something that checks most of the boxes. In the mean time, they were supposed to do an appraisal on my car, which was still in their service department (more on that later). He proceeds to tell me there are 3 accidents on my carfax. Well, I've had one, and it was sold to me with a "clean" carfax. He tells me it can take a couple months to be reported to carfax. I inquire when the other accidents were- 2014. Again, I purchased my car in 2018. Needless to say, they offered me less than half of Blue Book value on my trade in. I expressed I can't trust them again, and I can buy a car where I live and not travel to Austin. He said a manager would call me. It's been radio silence ever since. Now the service. There was a guy named Nick who worked there who went above and beyond for me. He was fired last December (the service director told me this) because of customer service issues. Ever since then, it's been a disaster. It's now going on two weeks without my car, and they haven't called me once. I have been the one calling to inquire, and no one returns my calls. Every time my car has been serviced, I've been given a rental. In fact, last summer, they had my car for two months fixing the air conditioner. I had a rental car from them. Now they're telling me I can't get a rental because their cars can't be taken out of the City of Austin. So, I'm without wheels, almost two hours away, while they leisurely work on my car. I don't know where else to turn to get the attention of higher ups at Nyle Maxwell. I want to warn people they sell used cars under deception, and their service department's communication skills are terrible. Go to a direct dealership instead. Audi directly takes care of their people; they'll even drive the two hours to pick up a car for service and give you a rental. This is a middle man place, and you don't get the service you should. Yesterday, I got my car keys misplaced or/stolen and a purse with my documents inside the vehicle. When I bought my FIAT, Maxwell guaranteed that the car would break down in the middle of the road if I had issues. Call this number: yada, yada. Seven years later, I just got off the phone with workers or staff or high management who seemed to hate what they were doing and were trying to put words in my mouth, misleading the conversation; they wanted to paint me as a Karen. They kept cutting me off, telling me that's not my department; a guy named GRUTE or whatever said to me that without my VIN, there was nothing he could do, sent me back to another department, and a lady THE MANAGER like Michael Scott, I hope God makes a miracle and give you a new heart, because your tone of voice and arrogance was so triggering that at my age, I should just retire, shut up and accept the fact that when FIAT wants to sell a car, they promise you heaven, but when you need assistance they kindly tell you 'Bless your heart.' She said in a high-pitched voice, 'YOU NEED TO GET THE CAR TOLL ALL THE WAY HERE' because we'll have to REPROGRAMED. I want to understand why, after seven years of service, they cannot pull customer information or work AS A TEAM to assist a little customer in getting the transportation back. That's all I wanted. The conversation ended with her spelling her name because I couldn't even hear well and made the mistake of asking their names again. Sorry, Maxwell, for being a miserable little burden, incompetence not even able to have my documents in hand to go above and beyond on my client customer skills to make your staff happy. Thank you so much for proceeding to give hard-working people nothing. Should I ask permission to have my car service at your place next time? Am I worthy of your super duper staff so happy about their work environment? Jesus Christ, we are going lower than ever. Wow! read more

I don't have any confidence that the service department has mechanics who actually understand how automotive subsystems work. They might be "certified" but the ones at Maxwell work by the computer system and that's it. I've had a repeated CEL for Evap codes on my car and they can't fix it. In less than 200 miles, I need to return AGAIN. Additionally, they have no incentives for service. I've paid $90 for an oil change, and since I won't let a "Jerky Lube" touch my car, have begun changing the oil myself. The last straw was when I decided to write a letter to Nyle Maxwell. You would think I was a terrorist with the difficulty I had getting the Former Mayor of Round Rocks business mailing address! I guess they must be fearful of angry customers. I recounted to Nyle about having bought 3 cars from his dealerships and HOW IT USED TO BE. At some point they changed the business model. I didn't cuss or threaten him. All I did was express disappointment, and described why and how. I never received any reply or even a "go to hell" letter back. Nothing. I'm done with Nyle Maxwell. read more

I went to Nyle Maxwell's service department for an oil change and some warranty work on my Fiat. They told me they would order the part I needed and I would have to come back to get the work done. Fair enough. They didn't tell me that they only held parts for 30 days. I had an appointment within the 30 day window, but got called out of town and had to reschedule. I got there and was told that my part was gone, and they'd have to reorder. Fair enough. I should have been told about the 30 day window, but I'll take the blame. However, the saga is just beginning. They ordered the new part, and I made an appointment to get it put on my car. However, when I arrived, they told me that they had the wrong part, because of some kind of computer error, and I'd have to come back again. Again, not optimal, but okay. They said they'd order the part again. When the part came in again, I checked with the service advisor who called me to make sure that it was the right part. He said he had seen it in person, and it was. So I was shocked that when I made my third trip to the dealership to find that the part was missing. Finally, the fourth time to the dealership, I was able to get my car fixed. The service manager was very apologetic, and offered me a free oil change next year for my trouble, but that doesn't really make up for the four 45-mile round trips to the dealership, the time wasted, and the frustration. This is the worst service experience I've ever had with a car dealership, and once my car is out of warranty, I will not return. read more

First off the sales experience was awesome with Angela Hicks, but I took my 2016 Fiat 500 into service Monday morning 4/3/17 for a few minor issues which was taken care of, when I got ready to leave and opened driver side door I instantly seen oil spots on my seats and grease all over dash and steering wheel......so I went back in and one of the service agents tried to clean it with upholstery cleaner to no avail, now I'm waiting for answers about this issue being it's a brand new car! They have lost my business for good! I came in to buy a 14 500e w/51k they wouldn't budge on the price at all. Test drove it had wheel bearings screaming, bad tires in the front, suspension clunking, the side skirt falling off. I asked what they do during their 30point multi point inspect, no one knew the answer(clearly nothing). I asked to have it checked out before I pull the trigger. They sold it to some other person with all these issues. They are shady. I do not recommend them to anyone. On Christmas Eve my 2016 500x stalled out in the middle of a busy road for no apparent reason causing my car to need towing. Aside from this being an incredibly bad day for this to happen, I learned that the car had simply run out of gas due to a faulty gas gauge. I also learned that this was a known defective part on this model. I was told the part was backordered, with no definite arrival date expected. My problem here is that I have had to initiate all communication - no calls have ever been placed to me at all. In this case, no news is not good news. The advice I was given is to treat a half tank as empty, requiring stops to refuel way more often than I have time for. I find the customer service lacking and concerning. This is my first Fiat...not sure if there will be more in my future. read more

Came in here for an oil change. The assistant at the front, Melanie, was a delight and so helpful in booking my appointment over the phone and when I came in in-person. Quick service too at a reasonable price!! Will be coming back again Only negative was watching a gentleman berate the assistant- in earshot of all the waiting customers- for supposedly letting someone in without a face mask... Every person inside was wearing one, save those who had there's slipped down to drink the complimentary coffee in the waiting area. My husband had been on the hunt for a truck for a few months waiting for the right truck to come along. We found the truck on the Nyle Maxwell Fiat lot. We stopped by to look at it Derek came out to greet us and offer us a test drive. After that we were interested in working up the numbers because it really was/is the a great truck. There were just a few things that the truck needed done to make it perfect for us (new tires and a couple of scuffs buffed out). Derek didn't hesitate to work those in our deal. My car kept having problems after problems. I originally just brought the car in to have the oil changed!! The GM never took my calls and kept passing my problems off to other people. 1. I had one person in service, tell me he gave me one tire. And another, told me he gave me three tires... Now they say two? So which is it? 2. After two and a half months, technicians determined my breaks all of a sudden needed replacing. Austin informed me I had a hole in my roter? How is that even possible with normal wear and tear? Yet again another issue that just appeared on my vehicle. This dealership had caused my vehicle to have more problems then I brought it in with. ***Even though sales and Gabby at the front, were all so great to speak with, my car is still broken and the GM and service dept are terrible.** Lisa, as a GM she should follow up with her clients requests. Back in September came in for oil change. There was expensive problem. The service guy told me price of part. Said no thanks. Walked to sales. I told him what I wanted. They did not have what I wanted. The saleperson found me used car. The price was great. Con Takes hours to get through all the paperwork. I am very happy. Had 2012 car when came in left with 2015. Update: Next day had to have the computer replaced. December I looked online to see what cars they had in stock. I went in test drove two cars and left my 2015 for 2018. This car is more of what I was looking for. Psst. could there be some free crackers or powerbar. Since it take hours to get into new car. Con. Takes a long time to get all the paperwork. I was too tired by time I got out there. I did not get tour of features. I can set up an appointment and get tour of all the features. They were very nice and worked with me to get me in a new car with car payments not too high. I love my 2018 car. I am so happy. This dealership is SO ANNOYING, bought my car new in 2012 and the whole experience was sub pas. No communication from the sales person and she acted like I was bugging her every time I called to check on my order. Fast forward 4 years, every time I have taken my car in for service I get attitude from the service advisor then ignored when I go to pick it up. The sales people now randomly call me and ask if i want to sell my car to them bc they offer "TOP DOLLAR". So, I did, and he came back with a number that was $3000 less than other dealerships! The car only has 6k miles on it...AND I bought the car from them. Then, I start getting calls from the service department about bringing it in, what kind of car am I driving, can I get your email...I told them I don't want anything to do with Fiat Austin anymore... read more

After months of terrible service and complaints on the BBB and this site I got a call from the Fiat customer service rep. She told me they really wanted to make up for the way I was treated by sending me a gift. Weeks later I received a $20 gift card to Baskin and Robbins.
