RUN RUN RUN..... Worst doctors I have ever been to. Lack complete compassion or respect for others time. They don't know how to run there business. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. I am very dissapointed. They never run on time and there accounting practices are the worst I have ever seen. There are so many options for physicians these days... DON"T GO HERE. Further every time we went they billed incorrect and did nothing to help and quote "It's not there job to work with the insurance company" Unless you want to spend time working on insurance claims everytime I would run as fast as I can. read more

Terrible bedside manner. My son needed his immunizations updated. We went in on Monday June 23rd. His appointment was at 8:20am. Upon arrival, the front desk asked me if I knew whether or not his immunizations were covered or not. I told her the last time my son was in, they were covered. Our insurance hadn't changed besides our id #. But I was willing to pay for the office copay in the event that it wasn't. She accepted this answer and took my payment. A few minutes later, we were called to the back, my son's height, weight and temperature was taken and then we were brought back to the exam room. She took my son's vitals and then asked me if my son's immunizations were covered. I explained to her that I thought they were and I had already talked to the front office and paid my son's office copay in the event it wasn't covered. She sighed loudly, and rudely interrupted me and told me that I HAD to contact my insurance company and my son wouldn't be seen until I done so. She stated the Dr. had 1 more patient ahead of us and that I had plenty of time to verify my son's coverage. Why not tell me this as I was making my son's appointment? Why wait until I am already in the back? Is this policy new? We've been going there for over 2 years and this is the 1st I've been asked to do this. Their reason for not verifying benefits was because it takes too long for them to do it and that parents can figure out the information quicker than they can because they ask questions that the office is unable to answer. I find this explanation ridiculous. All a provider's office needs to verify benefits is the primary's social security, birth date and/or id. Plus, they are able to verify benefits online, phone and fax. This is just a lazy practice. If you go on their website, they encourage you to know the benefits but will bill our insurance accordingly and in the event there is a balance, we pay for it. However, they do not follow this policy and FORCE parents to call and REFUSE service until you do it. Why not just ask a parent to know this information as they are booking their appointments? I spoke to the office manager, Gail, about my experience and she seemed unmoved. She said they ask parents to contact our insurance while they wait in the waiting room and then also give (force) parent's another opportunity to contact their insurance again as they sit in the exam room in the back. I guess the "No cell phone use beyond this point" sign is just for looks. How about respecting the parent's decision and not forcing parents to do something that they've already discussed beforehand. I pointed out that I looked at their policies their website. It's stated that they encourage for parents to know their benefits but will bill our insurance if we don't know our coverage and will be responsible for the balance. Why was I forced to verify benefits if their policy online states otherwise? Please keep in mind, my boys have been coming to this office for the last 2 years and we have never been asked to verify our boys' benefits ourselves - not once. Seriously, as an adult, what office has made you verify your own benefits and get explanation of benefits while you are at a doctor's office? Just think about that. I would like to point out, my review is based on my experience with the medical assistant (don't remember her name) and office manager, Gail. This is not a review for the pediatricians. My boys have seen both Dr. Carroll and Dr. Jax. Luckily for us, we don't visit the Dr.'s office often, but the Pediatricians have always been professional and given the best care possible. read more

At twilight care the receptionist typed in my sons birthday wrong (found out later) so the insurance would not go through. They let my 9 month old projectile vomite for over an hour until we figured out her mistake. She was very uncaring & rude. She didn't care how sick he was, the insurance better come through. After she corrected her mistate, they let us back. The Doc on call said...nothing they could do take him to ER. They could tell us that while he was vomiting & crying in the waiting room?! We love Dr. Auxier and love the option of Twighlight pediatrics. However, the wait time is becoming a real problem. We had an appointment today. While scheduling it, a note was made that we must be seen within 30 minutes because we must pick another child from school (no other appointment time was available, even though I called at 8:30am, just when they opened the phone line). Arrived early. Were admitted to the room, but then waited for 35 minutes, the doctor did not show up. We had to leave without seeing the doctor (but after having paid the co-pay). No apologies, no offer to come back in 15-20 minutes or to resolve the situation in any way. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I also called them at 5:01pm, just one minute after the office officially closed to see if we can do anything, but the call was forwarded to the after-hours voicemail. I wish they respected patients' time as much as they respect theirs. I searched online to see if there is any other way to contact them except for the phone -- email / automated internet message etc. -- but there is none. So I am leaving a review here, hoping that the staff members will read it and reach out. read more

Office is supposed to open at 8:30am. I've been calling for over an hour now, and still reaching "Answering Service"... who told me to "try back later". Not the professionalism of a Doctor's Office... especially when you need to reach somebody there! read more

Let me first state that I had to select a number of stars to post this, but I would not have selected any with how I feel about this office and the way they run business. My husband and I will never refer this office for pediatric care EVER! My DAUGHTER, which is what the 'F' or 'M' denotes for sex right? was referred to as a he/him numerous times by office and billing staff and her DOB was entered incorrectly as well, as I saw on another review, though we were at the Power Ranch office. This was caught when I went to cancel her second appointment and the receptionist couldn't find her or her appt due to incorrect DOB and must have been an omen that we would never return to this place. This office is careless and completely unorganized. One of the reasons I chose this office was because they had a sick child entrance and a healthy child entrance, but when we walked through the healthy child door it lead into the same waiting room with the same toys, chairs, and the same sign-in and pen to be used by all. There was no divider to prevent the spread of illness whatsoever. I had issues with billing and every time I called I was put on hold and different people would pick up and ask if I'd been helped, I would explain my issue just to be put on hold for another great length of time. On the last time I called I was speaking to the billing dept. and was put on hold, yet again, and when someone picked up and asked if I'd been helped I told them what I was waiting for and her response was, "this isn't billing" ......?!?!? and again I was told to hang on and was placed on hold. I hung up. When my call was returned they called me by the wrong name on the voicemail they left me. I received a final notice for my bill that stated since they hadn't received a response from me, which they had numerous times and my account had the note in it....?, that failure to pay my bill would result in my agreeing to terminate my relationship with Gilbert Pediatrics and would have to seek Pediatric care elsewhere - trust me Gilbert Pediatrics that would NOT hurt me and I terminated my relationship with this terrible office after my first visit which is why we never returned for our second visit. I disliked the office, staff and the way my daughter was handled during her week old visit. My billing issues were resolved, but not by any member of this staff, but by ME. I don't know why they have a billing department because I was told numerous times that I had to contact my insurance and then "as a courtesy" needed to inform GP of what was going on......? isn't it the job of a billing department to handle insurance, not the patient's entirely?!?!? I completely agree with another post that they are just in it for the money and not the care of patients! My final notice made a comparison of having a credit card on file to pay for my child's health to the same as when you book a hotel room or rent a car - it makes for an easier, faster and more efficient checkout - AKA they are in it for the $$$$, who knows how many people they have taken advantage of charging the card on file without the patient knowing whether or not the amount was accurate. read more

My 2.5 yr. old son had hives/rash all over his body, thought it might be a reaction to recent antibiotics but I wasn't certain. The hives appeared late afternoon just as I was picking up from daycare located near Gilbert Pediatrics Pecos office, so I stopped by to see if a Dr/Nurse could see him. I arrived at 4:45pm and was told they were closing, did not take walk-ins, and advised if I wanted to have my son seen to take him to the twilight hours at 6pm. WOW!! Yes, I can see that they truly care about their patients. A simple visual inspection to confirm if the hives could be a reaction to the antibiotics they prescribed him 10 days prior and recommendation of how to handle is what I expected however instead I was turned away and told wait 1 hour and go to twilight hours where walks were accepted? This should not have come as a surprise to me. After all, this is also the same pediatric office where Dr. Jacks told me my then 7 mo. old son's discomfort was merely contispation. Only to find out 2 mo. later from the same office while seeing Nurse Deborah it was more than contipation and referred my son to a Specialist. My son was then diagnosed with Analrectal Malformation and at 11 mo. had a 4 hour surgery to correct it. I know there are pos. & neg. with every physician office and I also know there are some things out of the Dr./Nurses control, but the child's well being is what should be most important. Needless to say I can not say that I've experienced that 100% of the time with Gilbert Pediatrics. read more

I have taken both of my children to Gilbert Peds for the last several years. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Leavitt. All the docs there are very personable and good. But I prefer Dr. Leavitt because he is thorough. When you don't go to a doctor who does a thorough assessment everytime...thats when things get missed. He is phenomenal and I can't say enough good things about him. I also like Gilbert Peds because I have never had a problem getting my children in for same day appointments. If you have a problem getting in with your pediatrician when your kid is sick...then it's time to switch pediatricians. I am a pediatric nurse, and that's what I always tell the parents of my patients. read more

I have been taking my kids to this office for regular care for the last 7 years, and have nothing but good to say about it! We have seen both Dr. Carroll and Dr. Leavitt, and they were both very thorough and good with the kids. They took their time to address all of our concerns, and made a sometimes stressful appointment more positive for both me and my kids. Their twilight pediatrics is also a great option when you can't get a regular appointment during the day right when you need it. We will definitely continue at this office! read more

This business is highly disappointing in their customer service. My daughter has been going there since she was two weeks old and I have had nothing but issues with them. For example, I recently took her to the doctor on 8/11 where she was diagnosed with a contagious virus. I had to have the doctor fill out medical leave paperwork for me for my job so that I could stay home with my daughter during the contagious period. Instead of doing the paperwork the same day he received it, the doctor that saw her waited four days to even look at it and then had his assisting nurse call me to ask me how to fill it out and to ask what she was seen for. This was alarming as I would hope they would keep accurate records of what/ when they see patients (but apparently not) and that their doctors have filled out medical leave paperwork for working parents before. On top of that, once they finally submitted it, it was done incorrectly. When I called letting them know there was an urgent timeframe that I needed it corrected within due to my job and them putting it off, their office staff was not only rude but pretty much said there was nothing they could do since her doctor was, again, out of the office. One would think they would own up to the fact that it was their fault they wasted my time by waiting four days and by filling it out incorrectly, and get another doctor to fill it out asap to make their customer happy.
