Ex: I told her that we've never been to the office before and she said we'd have to get you'd registered and that can take a while. Like she was complaining to me about it..... Then she says do you know our vax policy. I didn't. She said ALL PATIENTS MUST BE FULLY VAXED. Ok, so vaccines don't bother me but the idea of someone telling someone else that certain drugs MUST be put in their kid is an absolute red flag. What happened to caring for patients, and the patients right to decide what is best for their kid. Makes me worried what else they would force on their patients. Satisfactory level of needs have been met for my daughters. From check in to check out needs are met. I always encourage families to advocate for your loved ones. If you are looking for a satisfactory level of care would recommend. Nothing bad to say but nothing special I can recall. Update: after taking my kids here for years things have drastically changed. Sadly some of the staff we were used to getting the best treatment from including the nurses, are not the same. While I can't say negative things about the currently staff (except for one), the biggest flaw here is their lack of empathy and consideration for your own time. Getting an appointment is easy which is nice but you have to almost always have to have a minimum 45 min buffer. Meaning, if I book a 9am appointment I almost always won't be seen by a doctor until 945/10. It's incredibly frustrating seeing as I work and taking the time off or having other commitments after appointments is something I can no longer plan for when I take my kids here. I have made a comment about this twice before, in fact one time I had already been waiting for an hour before I had to literally just walk out because at that time not even a nurse had come to see me while I was waiting in the room. I know people get busy, and appointments run over depending on seasonality but to have this happen time and time again even when I'm the first appointment of the day, is beyond frustrating. read more

I had all 3 of my kids here and unfortunately I feel like the care and communication has gone drastically downhill over the years. My daughter had an X-ray done for a broken wrist/hand. I waited for the office to call me back after imaging confirmed results had been sent in the day prior. I called the office three times to get answers for my poor two year old. No one reviewed her results or called me to inform me of her X-ray. I pulled my children from here. Very upsetting they didn't care about my child's broken bone. read more

Like many other parents and caregivers on this page, I have noticed a drastic difference in the level of care my family has received here over the last year and have unfortunately developed a disappointing experience with this office. Please, physicians, look at the child's chart before coming in- we were constantly asked if our baby was our first when the same physician has been seeing our other two children for several years now. Very impersonal and communication was very scripted by not really answering questions directly. Many times I left appointments frustrated because of this. Scheduling and communication regarding scheduling is awful- trying to get ahold of a sick appointment same day or even next day is nearly impossible and very frustrating. Billing is inconsistent- and two identical sick appointments were billed with differences amounting to over $100. One consistently bright spot in this office is NP Becky. She is wonderful and deserves much praise- she has always been great with our children and spoken with us confidently and kindly. Would recommend her 10/10. We have since switched to another practice that fits the needs of our family better. read more

I've taken my son here for 2 years now. When we moved to Gilbert they had good reviews and it was close so we gave it a go. I am yet to have a good experience, or even an appointment where I feel like my son was truly cared for and evaluated properly. They seem either like they are overwhelmed with patients. Wait time is usually 45-60 minutes until you get into a room. Once in the room and with the doctor, it seems so rushed. No time to ask questions. No time to go in depth about what we are dealing with and what to expect with whatever illness we are tackling. They give very quick diagnostic with very little information. Google have helped me more than they have which feels very wrong that I am trusting and paying for their care and advice. I am sure that given the time they are good doctors, but they seem very rushed, and very unconnected with what they are doing with their patients. read more

My doctor's office was taken over by this company. Takes forever for them to answer the phone which now goes to a main call center. Excessive updates/review of electronic "paperwork" which they want you to do before you arrive. The one that really irritates me is the $200+ I was charged for a flu swab, and then my insurance charged me $200 for Tamaflu, on top of the office visit. It makes me not want to take my kids in when they are suffering for fear of what the bill will be. The office says they have no way to know what I will be charged so they are not able to give me a price before agreeing to something as silly as a flu swab. We were in look for a good pediatrician to move coz our current pediatrician relocated. After all the research and reviews we landed on this practice. No offense but this place didn't meet up to the mark. Their lack of inexperience showed. We have a new born and on our first visit we just wanted to get out of there. Their nurse practitioner was supposed to draw blood from the feet of a new born. She poked and the blood started oozing. Without knowing exactly what to do she kept drawing more blood while the baby was crying her lungs out. To add to this her trembling hands made it worse and took forever. She positioned the baby wrong and was a blunder. The doctors are decent but not personal, bed side manners are good, they listen and give the right advise but they just didn't connect. I love Arbor Medical Pediatrics! I met Dr. Santos when I was pregnant with my first born son. She answered all my questions and put me at ease regarding COVID 19. The pediatrician office would do Covid testing too. After my son was born they recommended physical therapy, because I had a pelvic kidney and my son's head was slightly tilted upon birth. Super happy with our experience so far at Arbor Medical Pediatrics and with Dr LeBras. Being the parent of a newborn is worrisome and, at times, a sophisticated guessing game. Dr LeBras and his staff are super knowledgeable and helped us, as new parents, decode what our baby needed. Each time we have an appointment, we leave relieved and with action items. They allow for "drive by weigh ins" and then always follow up with a call from their staff. As a mother, I feel respected and empowered each time I talk to staff and Dr LeBras, which is much appreciated. Writing this with hesitation... but disappointed with Arbor Medical Pediatrics. My daughter has been a patient since she was born. Over the last three years, I have given this practice multiple 'do-overs,' and today's three-year check up has allowed me to make a decision on whether or not I will be continuing with my daughters care with AMP... The first newborn/infant appointments were great. Dr La Bras was super attentive, informative and helpful with any questions. After the first few appointments, Dr La Bras slipped (more than a couple of times), addressing my daughter as a boy. First time, I understand, but four appointments later...? As my daughter got older, we took note that the practice was expanding. The front office staff was always stellar, but MA's were constantly changing from the previous year and wait times were getting longer (we're talking over 40 minutes in the exam room; on more than one occasion). Fast forward a year. Called to schedule her appointment and was given the insight that AMP had been bought out by an umbrella company. Changes were inevitable. Front-office staff changed over completely. Still friendly, still helpful. All good... I communicated that my daughter had seen no one but Dr La Bras since her birth, and that we preferred to stick with him. However, we were told his availability was quite limited and that he focused more on newborns now. Ok... so... For her annual three year well-check, we scheduled with Dr Weiss, who has been with the practice for a year or two. We decided to give it a-go. Practice expansion and buy-outs will always yield changes; so we rolled with it. I made sure to confirm the approximate length of the appointment with the front-office staff when scheduling, and was told I should be in and out within 30 minutes - perfect. However... Upon an early arrival for our appointment, we sat in the waiting area for an hour. An MA recognized we had been overlooked and had asked who we were waiting to see. He informed me that they would be with us as soon as possible. Ok, great. I totally get when things get off track; it throws off the entire day; but; an hour wait time just to be called back...? By this time, my daughter was over it. The MA was super nice in dealing with a moody threenager, who came around and opened up thanks to her knowing how to work with kids (this is a pediatric office, so, props)... When Dr Weiss came in, she apologized for the delay. I tried to give her a hard time but was cool about it, because I do get it. She did not seem to care for that. I suppose that my attempt to break the ice with a doctor neither myself nor my three year old have never met before didn't work. That's my bad. Dr Weiss did not introduced herself, did not ask who my daughter was (nor use her name), and did not ask who I was. Perhaps it's just me, but getting a toddler to feel comfortable around a complete stranger (in a mask, in an exam room) takes a bit of friendly introduction, no? Dr Weiss inquired with the expected routine: 'do you have any questions or concerns,' and asked some basic milestone questions. Now, I understand medical professionals all exemplify varying bedside manners, so, take this with a grain of salt... I did not get a friendly, warm, kid-friendly vibe I was hoping for with my daughter seeing a totally new doctor for the first time. From the time we were called back to the time the check-up was done: 20 minutes, tops. Which; to the credit of the front-office staff; is exactly what I was told over the phone prior to scheduling... and previous to our one-hour wait time. I wanted so badly for this recommended pediatric office to turn things around and show that they could provide some redemption from our previous experiences. In my personal interactions with the medical staff, they did not. I provided the front-office staff with the feedback, in hopes that they would pass it along to their team. Takeaway: Transitions are hard. Takeovers are not easy. Although we have made the decision that we will not be returning to AMP; I sincerely wish the best of luck in their continued journey in pediatrics. read more

I am a pediatric nurse and have worked with hundreds of incredible pediatricians. I have a high expectation of care. I was 15 min on the dot late to my daughter's appointment due to a car accident ahead of me and I called scheduling to ensure they would see us and the gentleman ensured I would be fine. They refused to see us although we were 15 min (grace period) late. Dr. Weisse did not put the patient first and that is very disappointing. read more

Dr. Le Bras at Arbor Medical Pediatrics has been such a great, trusted resource for our family after the birth of our son. While I was pregnant and looking for a pediatrician, this office was recommended to us. The whole process went very smoothly and selecting them was the best decision we made! I had let their office know my expected due date and after our son was born, Dr. Le Bras came to Mercy Gilbert to check on him during our time there. Since then, we have been back at their office for several well visits and follow-ups. Talk about patience! Dr. Le Bras is always willing to share his knowledge with us. As first time parents, my husband and I have had several questions; he has explained things very well and made us feel at ease before leaving. The front office staff and nurses we've met with have also been great. I really like that they have a Patient Portal for appointment notes made by the doctor, list of upcoming appointments, ability to schedule future appointment, ask the doctor questions, etc. Everything is very easily accessible. We are very happy with Arbor Medical! Being first time parents is overwhelming and we were so grateful for our prenatal appointment to meet Dr. Weisse. She saw us every day we were in the hospital which was above what was expected. She listens to us and is supportive. When I was stressing about breastfeeding, she had lactation consultants for us to call. We saw Dr. Le Bras as well for a rash and were very impressed with him. Even though it was a sick visit for a rash, he helped us with a few other concerns, listened, and gave us feedback. We are so happy with our choice to go with Arbor Medical. The review is for Dr. Santos. This is the 2nd time we had the same issue where there wasn't any urgency in sending out the prescription to the Pharmacy. The first time could be a taken as a simple mistake of forgetting to submit the prescription. This time it happened again but it took her over 4 hours to send it. We made constant calls to the pharmacy and the office and all they could do is send a note. After several calls and notes, Dr. Santos finally called back and said she would send it now. We waited a little more and it took her another 30 mins to do so. Dr. Santos clearly saw the condition of my child was in and clearly did not take urgency as a step to take. Especially knowing it's for a child. I do not recommend her by all means. We're waiting for a Manager to call us and will be updating this post to see how they handle this. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Insurance changes caused my daughter to have to change the pediatrician for my two-year old grandson. We went with this pediatrician because of the great reviews of the doctor and insurance said that the doctor is accepting new patients. When you first call and you are a new patient, the message says to download and complete the paperwork. Although an established patient can make appointments through the portal, new patients cannot and must call to make an appointment. No big deal right? We filled out the paperwork and all we had to do was get an appointment. Luckily, my grandson is healthy! We had time since we were hoping for an appointment in November for his 3-year old well visit. Well...it never happened because the front desk either never answered the phone or did not return the MANY messages we left for a call back. The recording said that call backs are usually done within the hour. Her and I tried for 6 weeks to contact this place and left MANY messages, and even waited on hold to only be informed to leave a message. From September until the day of this review, neither of us received a call back. Honestly, we even left a message for a sick child visit and still did not get a call back. If the office staff cannot even contact us to make an appointment, it really makes it tough to think that the overall practice is good. I cannot say anything about the doctor because we never had the opportunity to meet him. We have since found a doctor with excellent reviews. A person at the new place actually answered the phone and scheduled a November appointment. read more

Dr. LaBras is a nice man. his staff is horrendous. I called to ask about an appointment on a Saturday and the woman answering the phone laughed at me. I asked why she was laughing and she began mocking me. She then said she had never heard of a pediatrician office being open on the weekend. I said that I have lived in New Jersey and in Tennessee and then both places pediatrician offices are routinely open on Saturdays for well visits, non- emergent appointments, and sick appointments up to about noon. I explained that I am absolutely understanding that their office is not open on a Saturday but that it is not OK to laugh at someone and be so disrespectful. She became silent and did not apologize or acknowledge my concern and then asked if I wanted to make an appointment for today. I did not. previously, there was a nurse practitioner who was extremely condescending and who talked to both of my children as if they were 3 1/2 years old though one is a teenager and the other not far behind. Both boys were extremely offended and asked to not return to the office. She also spoke to me as if I had the IQ of a patio rock and it was extremely disrespectful. We only went back for a while visits this year because the nurse practitioner was gone and we were assured we could see Dr. LaBras. I actually like the doctor but I will no longer tolerate disrespect from his staff. Since staff are the first individuals to interact with the public, some serious training is warranted. I have been taking my daughter here since she was 3 (she is 6 now). It had been great up until the last 2 visits. Right before school started this year I had thought that she may have strep throat or Covid. The male nurse that was responsible for taking the tests was rough, yes the Covid test is tough no matter what age, but I am talking about the temperature check! At first they took it from the forehead and it said 97.8, but you could tell my daughter was rosy and lethargic. When I asked for him to please re-take the temp he seemed peeved and he was jamming the thermometer under my daughters tongue and holding her face as she was squirming. She is 6 and never has acted this way. He almost seemed apologetic when it came out at 99.9, but the capri sun he gave my daughter didn't make me forget his attitude and rough behavior when being asked to re-temp. He seemed to have a hard time on his ability to make children feel comfortable in the Doctors office. The next visit was her 6 year check-up just a few weeks later, everything was great until the hearing test. You could see the headset was older as the cords were tangled and the younger nurse seemed to have a little trouble fitting it to a smaller head (These were the big cushiony headphones that envelope the ears) the test was saying she could not hear any sound out of her right ear and of course I was concerned but also skeptical. She had never had problems with her hearting before and I asked for the nurse to test it, she tested it on my daughter and I had to say can you please see if you are able to hear the sounds. She untangle the cords a bit and fit it over her head and said "yep, I can hear it just fine". After trying again it was concluded that she had no hearing in her right ear and I was referred by the doctor to a specialist, but no one except that nurse ever performed the test. This week my daughter was tested for $840 by a specialist only to have discovered that she has above normal hearing in both ears. I feel that this fee could have been avoided if maybe the provider would have felt the concern I did and retested, we could have had more experienced hands performing this test and POSSIBLY could have saved me almost 1k in specialist fees. I am sorry, like I said it had been great up until this summer and now I am out $840 and feeling like my family is just another number to them. read more

There really should be an option to leave no stars. My 1 yr old granddaughter has been hospitalized for over a week in critical condition due to Dr. Michael Le Bras NOT listening to my daughter's concerns for the last several months. This is my daughter's first baby and she has exclusively breastfed. Dr. Le Bras has been her pediatrician since she was born and is the ONLY doctor she has ever seen, yet he couldn't remember her from one visit to the next. He never even referred to his notes (if he even took any) from my granddaughters previous visit. When she was about 8 months old my daughter expressed concerns regarding feeding difficulties after attempting to introduce solids. The baby absolutely refused anything we tried to give her, and IF we were able to sneak in a taste of something thinking that if she just tasted it, she would want to eat. She'd gag when we did this, sometimes to the point of vomiting. EVERY time my daughter took the baby to Dr. Le Bras, he dismissed her concerns. Being a first time mom she trusted her pediatrician, you SHOULD be able to trust your child's doctor. He insisted that this was "normal" and she was just a "picky eater" She wasn't an eater at all! This continued for 2 months until he finally referred her to feeding therapy, but the damage had already been done. She wasn't making any progress in the few visits she had with the therapist, and she began vomiting after nursing at least once a day. This baby never even spit up, and now she was full on vomiting. Dr. Le Bras' first diagnosis was "the flu", when the vomiting progressed he said she had GERD, she had no symptoms of this for the first 10 months of her life. He started meds for GERD that we had to force down her and she would just throw it up. My daughter took her back to this pathetic excuse for a doctor AGAIN, only for him to tell her, "maybe give her some crackers before trying the medicine" WHAT??? Do you have amnesia or just don't care enough to review a patient's chart if you can't remember the patient's history? This baby WILL NOT EAT! My daughter decided at that moment to find another pediatrician. The vomiting increased in frequency and severity. Then other symptoms started popping up, facial and extremity swelling, lethargy, and sleeping 80% of the day. This baby went from a healthy, happy, babbling, energetic baby to a lethargic, quiet, baby that never even smiled anymore. When we held her she would just lay her head on our shoulder, she didn't even have the strength to hold her head up. My daughter and son-in-law began taking her to the emergency room every day just to be told she was dehydrated due to the vomiting. They persisted and just went to a different hospital every day. The last hospital admitted her overnight for fluids and tests then referred her to a hematologist because her labs were extremely abnormal. After reviewing every single record and lab result on my granddaughter, the hematologist spent 4 hours with them going over everything, his thoughts, some of which no parent ever wants to hear, and his plan. After the hematologist ran even more blood tests he had my granddaughter admitted, she has been there ever since. She has had a blood transfusion, a brain CT, a bone marrow biopsy, a swallow test, and now has a picc line because her little veins kept blowing and they needed to get meds and nutrients into her asap. We don't know when she will come home, but when she does she will require a feeding tube. Had Dr. Le Bras just LISTENED to the mother and father of this baby, and ran some simple blood tests months ago, he would have seen that something was wrong with this sweet baby girl before it got this bad. But he CHOSE to dismiss my daughter's concerns, she KNEW something was wrong with her baby. He thinks that every child is the same, he's unwilling to consider the fact that sometimes parents actually know their children. He believes that he knows your child better than you do and can't even remember from one visit to the next what is going on with his patients. Thank you for taking the time to read! read more

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this practice. Moving across town has been the hardest thing, I traveled the hour for the first year but these gas prices are making it impossible. We've seen Dr. Le Bras since day one. Literally. He examined my son in the hospital. Did the circumcision in hospital. He has been attentive to every annoying first time parent concern, he explains everything so thoroughly, he will challenge you if you're making a questionable health decision for your child but ultimately leaves it up to you. We've been going to this practice for over 2 years now. It's always been a pleasant experience. However, these last few weeks have been unacceptable. It took numerous unanswered phone calls and 3 voicemails over the span of a week before I could reach someone to schedule my daughter's flu shot. Today we get there and I was told I needed to complete the registration forms via the link that was sent to me 50 mins before my appt time. So I'm in the office struggling to keep my 2yr old from jumping off the walls while trying to fill out the online registration forms they already have including my insurance info. The "receptionist" told me to expect to fill out this form each time for every appt. Can someone explain to me what the front desk staff does now? Because if I have to check myself in, fill out my own forms and have my phone calls ignored then what are they doing!? My appt was at 10am and I had to ask twice when we would be seen and it wasn't until 1030 that they got us back for a flu shot given by the MA. It's unacceptable that I should have to wait 30 mins for a non-provider appt that takes 2 mins max. We were waiting for their annual flu vaccine clinic but they botched that in September and never rescheduled. I'm very disappointed and I will be going elsewhere in the future. It's reckless on their part to be unreachable during a bad viral season, not to mention not prioritizing flu vaccines. read more

Cannot recommend this office enough! We switched to Dr LaBras after a bad experience with our first pediatrician, and wow night and day, so it was a no brainer to come see him at his new location. Dr La Bras is friendly, attentive, and so invested in making parents feel at ease about the health of their children. He never rushes us, takes time to go over milestones, growth charts etc. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and their parents! His new office Arbor Medical is phenomenal, brand new, pristine and the staff is wonderful as well. The front office and his nurse were both helpful, above and beyond. I would absolutely recommend this place for first time moms! My son is 2.5 and our daughter is 6 months and we are so happy to be patients of Dr La Bras. read more

We moved to Arizona and was looking for a Peditrician for my daughter. I called their office first thing when they open the receptionist I think her name was "Jane" or "June" I'm sorry if I got her name wrong but she was very helpful over the phone and was able to squeeze my daughter in for an appointment within an hour. When we got there check in/signing docs/payment process was quick and easy. I love how they have separate section from sick side to well side that is an awesome idea especially what is going on now and days. Dr Le Bras was awesome he explained everything that was needed to properly care for my daughter needs. He even suggested different pharmacy since I'm new to the area. We have gone to Dr. Lebras for almost 2 years and he is nothing short of amazing! He is so kind and actually takes the time to listen to any concerns or issues. He treats you like you are his first priority and never rushes us out of the office like other doctors have done in the past. I can tell he truly cares for his patients and my girls love him!
