So so yummy, I will be back!! I appreciated the variety they had. Everything we had was delish!
For my out of towers its in a food hall and not brick and mortar. I wasn't aware. I came due to insta. The food was great. Fresh bouncy noods, marinara was ok but the Calabrian chili oil sets it off. It was spicy and flavorful. The meatballs are not freshly made and taste processed. It was an "OK" pasta meal. Nothing major or fancy.
I have many places on my list to try in Western Market and decided on Gigi's! Really can't go too wrong with pasta but as far as Italian in the city goes there are definitely better options. I thought the value was solid and bowls started at $12 for a decent amount of pasta! It was a bit overcooked and not quite the nice chewy al dente you want from handmade pasta and the sauce was a little drier than I wanted. The side focaccia was a nice free add! My food came out pretty much immediately and ordering was simple.
I found Gigi Pasta while looking up places to visit on your upcoming trip. I had to add it to our must visit list! It was so yummy! They made the pasta fresh in house (you can see them making it). Then you get to pick your sauce and toppings. It was a hard choice to not go crazy but I ended up with vodka sauce top with Barada. It was sooo good. If we had more time I would have went 2 times and tried more favors.
Located in Western Market Food Hall in DC! This is a nice "choose your pasta" style place. Everything is made to order, but they make their pasta fresh daily. The price was a good bang for your buck. Each dish comes with garlic bread. The sauces were delicious, plenty enough to match up with your pasta. The dish that got protein came with 3 meatballs. We did not get a dessert, but the cannolis looked fantastic! Gigli pasta soaked up the sauce well. Radiatori pasta was thick and packed with flavor. The service was great, takes a bit to get your food due to cooking the food on the spot, be patient. If you're in the mood for a cool place to eat with fresh pasta, head to GiGis!
The pasta here is so good! You can tell that it's freshly made in-house. My coworker and I each custom made our pasta bowls. You can pick from 4 noodle types, a few sauces, and some proteins. Depending on the protein, the price will vary. I picked the gigil pasta with vodka sauce and meatballs which my total was about $18. I feel like it is a bit pricey for a small portion, but that's dc pricing for you! I love their decor. The lemon tree all over the top gives it a nice aesthetic.
I like the idea of a pasta bar, where you can get it quickly and on the go. I ordered the rigatoni with à la vodka sauce and burrata as an add on. My food was ready in about 10 minutes and my meal was filling and the burrata was a positive add. I wish the bread, which comes on the side, was softer. In terms of pricing, with no add-ons, the pasta is $12, which is a solid price for anyone on a budget. Adding an protein or extras jumps the price to about $20.
This spot is located in a casual food court setting. While it's not a full-service restaurant, there's plenty of nearby seating to enjoy your meal right away. The pastas were outstanding--rich, flavorful sauces paired with perfectly cooked noodles. I especially appreciated that everything was served piping hot. Just a heads-up: the portions are quite generous.
Really good. The fresh pasta and sauce on the spot is where it's at. The lasagna although really good the pasta with marinara and meatballs tastes just like Grandma use to make and was Delicious! And the portions were plenty. Can't wait for my next trip to this cute food hall and some Gigi's pasta.

You pick your pasta shape, sauce, and any add ons through the iPad like device and it all comes out pretty quickly. There's seating all around so finding a seat should be pretty easy! The portions are pretty big and I had leftovers for a couple more meals too. Will definitely be back to try other options!
Wow, ok so initially I wasn't impressed. The pasta was somewhat bland but Joel the manager happened to show exceptional customer service and offered to fix it for me. So that turned a subpar experience to a great one. I love that the pasta is fresh and love the concept. I'm open to trying something else next time:I love the concept of food markets! Also another plus the portion size is huge so can easily be shared with a coworker if on lunch, or partner!

It was hard to make a decision because everything looked so good but I got the chicken pesto pasta and it comes with focaccia. Was so. Good. I wasn't expecting the portions to be so big either! I definitely could've made it last 2 meals but it was so good that I couldn't stop myself from finishing! Will definitely be returning to try other pastas. Thought it was smart that they have a warmer pad for orders so that your pasta stays hot before pick up.
Gigi's was really good! The service and the ambiance was great. We tried their new Summer menu! Where I am: @eatgigispasta . Location Reviewed: 2000 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W. #3 Washington D.C. inside of @westernmarketdc . Items Reviewed: STAMP!! Their Drinks ($5 for their freshly squeezed Lemonade, $4.50 for their Blood Orange Italian soda). Super fresh lemonade, & surprisingly sweet, & tasty soda!! STAMP!! Their Lasagna ($15 with layered pasta sheets, beef ragu, Gigi's suck, & cheesy bechamel with garlic bread). The absolute BEST lasagna I've had in the area!! delicious pasta!! the menu is small and kind of pricey but the portion sizes are huge and the pasta is made fresh every day, so it's a great little splurge. i've gotten the vodka sauce with rapini twice and it's sooo good. when they first opened they were pretty slow, but they've definitely gotten quicker and now serve a little slice of bread with the pastas!!! the location in western market is very convenient to me so i have to stop myself a lot from getting gigi's on the way home. i still have sauces and desserts i haven't tried so i might give in a few more times this year... read more
Very tasty create your own pasta spot. Four different pastas, handful of different sauces, few meat and cheese add-ons. Just pasta with sauce will run you about $12, adding meat and cheeses will add a few dollars more. The bowl does not really look like much but they really pack it in there and it's really a lot of food for the money. Hopefully they introduce some additional sauce options like alio olio or Alfredo. read more
I recently went here for a weekday lunch and got the beef Bolognese in a timely manner. The pasta was pricey (over $17) for the relatively small portion size. The cheese was delicious and the sauce was fine; however, the rigatoni were somewhat gummy and overcooked. read more
Really love the concept but the execution could be worked on! I love that it's located in Western Market - super convenient and lots of seating although it does get pretty packed around lunch time. I think the pasta itself was well-cooked also and tasted maybe a bit fresher than a regular store bought pasta. However, the vodka sauce was super bland in my opinion. We also tried the mushroom pasta which was slightly better but still a bit on the bland side. Considering that it is just a stall in a food hall (i.e. you're not getting table service and all the containers/silverware are disposable), I think it's a little expensive. Hopefully as they're still new they will continue improving! read more

Gigi's is a mixed review for me. This spot is located in a busy food hall in Western Market, so be prepared for a little wait. The serving size is good- enough for 2 meals or to share with someone. The bowls are customizable in every way- noodle, sauce, add ins. The pasta and sauce were very "just okay" for me but the beef meatballs were really delicious and I enjoyed the whipped ricotta on them. The complimentary bread was also just salty, bland, and cold & that was really disappointing for a garlic bread with her pasta/ fresh bread in general lover. Overall, I don't think I would be back just because the pasta itself wasn't worth over $20 to be so just "okay" but the concept is very cute & id be interested to see how they evolve. read more

I visited GiGi's in Western Market this past weekend. For context, Western Market is basically a food hall with several vendors under one roof. GiGi's is super cute and beautifully decorated ...definitely eye-catching. One of the highlights is that the pasta is made fresh, and you can actually see it being cut, which adds to the experience. They offer four pasta types and a few sauce options. I chose the rigatoni with pesto and charred rapini. Unfortunately, adding the rapini took away from the dish; it didn't quite hit. There was nothing "charred" about the rapini, and it was mostly stalks and greens. The greens were tough and hard to chew. They would clump together into one big knot (think wad of gum), which made it difficult to enjoy. I eventually started eating around them. Outside of that, the pesto was flavorful. I can't really speak to customer service since I ordered at the kiosk, but my food did come out quickly, which I appreciated. read more
I must say that I saw this on TikTok and got excited because it reminded me of Vapiano's from how you choose the pasta and a sauce and a cook it there. I did not like that. The roasted chicken is chicken thighs and not chicken breast. The pasta was decent and I appreciate that they make the pasta themselves as well as the sauce, but it did not fully meet my expectations. Will I go again? Maybe if I'm in the taste for pasta because it's only a couple of bucks for my job but I don't think I will be running to go there.. read more

Went there twice around 1pm. Waited for about 20 minutes both time. I waited about 10minutes from the time I received sms notification saying order is ready. The first one I had was excellent. I went back today and the pasta was overcooked and sticked together. The sauce was cold and meatballs were average. I may go back If there is no wait. Overall very disappointed. read more

We visited this establishment on our day trip to DC for holiday activities after seeing it on social media. I was expecting more friendliness and a more personal atmosphere, but no one really spoke to us, we ordered on a tablet. Someone did start taking orders manually once a line built up. The ambiance was iffy, but I will say the pasta and vodka sauce was on point and worth the stop. The chicken was okay, nothing special but got the job done. Prices were fair for portions.
