a glass of beer on a table

On our final day in Portland and after a great hike, we decided we were ready for another brewery visit. When I checked nearby, Gigantic Brewing's Robot Room was nearby and we went. Gigantic Brewing has been a bucket list visit for me; we get their bottled beers locally and they're always a great. The owner Ben has been super friendly online the last few years so it was also great to come in and support the business. It was a rainy day, so we sat inside but they also had a great outdoor seating area shared with the adjoined restaurant. Restrooms are also shared, an easy walk outside the taproom beyond the bar. We were immediately greeted by a boisterous bartender, Cody, who entertained us all afternoon. We each ordered a flight, which are served in muffin trays, and quickly made the bar run out of taster glasses. We each told him what we liked and he made recommendations, many great ones. He also gave us recommended drinking orders, which I promptly forgot and was ribbed for. We ordered a few individual beers including Massive Barleywine, which is a favorite style for me. Beer quality is excellent, and I probably enjoyed it more due to the freshness. Prices were reasonable for the quality and entertainment. They also had merchandise for sale, plus bottled beer cold and ready to go. If you're a beer fan and are not familiar with Gigantic Brewing, I highly recommend it. They have other locations in the Portland area as well. Cheers!

Gigantic Brewing is an amazing local brewery committed to being an active part of the Portland community. I've been to multiple events in their SE location, ranging from a live interview and Q & A with local plywood artist Mike Bennett, to beer launches for The Unipiper and Soapbox Derby as part of their partnership with Weird Portland United. With so many amazing beers on tap, and a massive seating area both indoors and on several patios, Gigantic Brewing is THE place to hang out in the neighborhood. The food cart 808 Grinds serves Hawaiian plate lunches from one of the patios, making quick and delicious comfort food easily accessible. Gigantic is a company that deserves your attention, not only for their quality product, but their commitment to building community and making Portland a better place to live.

Super nice service as at their other location. Great taplist, wide variety of Gigantic beers. Plus, fridge full of what they have available in bottles. 2 available booths inside, lots of outside tables, and 4 tables inside the foodhall where you can enjoy their beers on site or you can take out bottles. Burmese/sushi, Somali, Mexican, and pie restaurants to eat here or take out, to go along with the taproom.

Good breed. Nice atmosphere!

Great beer; even better service. And the neighboring food options are quite stimulating.

We really enjoy this restaurant in the Pearl District. We regularly stop in after a morning visit…read moreto Powell's. They are a brewery pub and have the fare that matches. Their tap list is extensive but also includes non-standard options. We love to see non-alcoholic beers as well as gluten free beer, cider, cocktails, and other libations. The food menu is great too. There are several items that either come gluten free or can be modified to be. The servers are knowledgeable about the ingredients of the menu items and I feel confident and safe eating here when gluten free is a need for me. They can get pretty crowded, but have several seating options. It was nice out today so outdoor seating was even possible, though it looked like there was a wait. There are tvs in several spots that showcase local sports when possible. There is a kids area and you can sit close while the kids play. Everyone we come in contact with here from servers to hosts are super friendly and welcoming. The food is pretty good. This time around, we shared the garlic Parmesan fries and the chicken wings (buffalo and honey gojuchang sauces). The wings were smoked and moist with good flavor. The fries were alright. More of the aioli would have helped so maybe request extra sauce or get some on the side. The dessert menu has some non-traditional offerings. The highlight for me was the cheesecake. I was assured by a server one time that the chef creates a gluten free cheesecake that rotates on the seasonal dessert menu. The current offering is tiramisu. The coffee chocolate sauce is good and I appreciated the bonus chocolate chip biscotti. The actual cheesecake is decent and I would be excited to try other flavors in the future.

Went with the Classic Tray for my flight. Beers were balanced and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Couldn't have asked for better!

Great rooftop vibe and a fun place to hang out for an afternoon. We ordered a beer flight, and as someone who's had quite a few brewery flights and is pretty open-minded when it comes to beer, this one unfortunately missed the mark for me. Out of the 10 beers, only about 3 were somewhat enjoyable and around 4 were honestly undrinkable. Thankfully, the food redeemed things a bit. We got the pizza with artichoke hearts, mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, and basil. It was super flavorful and the dough was delicious, especially the crust. We also tried the catfish po' boy. It was a little salty, but the fish itself was cooked really well and the sauce was tasty. The spring mix salad with cranberries, slivered almonds, and feta was good too, though I personally would've liked a better toppings-to-lettuce ratio. Overall, I'd come back for the rooftop and food, but probably know to expect mediocre brews.

We ordered a salad and it took about 45 minutes to come out. Their kale Caesar was way better than I thought it would be for a bar! Very fresh with a delicious dressing. Simple with pepitas, kale and raddicio. Cheese and dressing. Their beers are some of my favorite from a local brewery. Their Cloud Mentality is a good choice for IPAs. The line gets long for the bar and there's no way to close your tab if you leave it open unless you're willing to wait in the line again to pay. If you don't do that you will be automatically charged 20% gratuity which is a good deal to not have to line up just to close out.

I love the space as well, though if you're looking for somewhere for a quiet conversation and welcoming pastels this is NOT your spot. I wish we could bring the kids to hang out with us on the patio at least, but Portland permitting is weird AF. Love the merch, love the tap lists, love the events, love the cooler; what more can I say? To top it all off they have El Viejon serving some of the best mexican food anywhere in Portland right in the joint! I've yet to try a single dish that's not delicious and many are absolute favorites. Get a cali burrito and call it a day; you'll be set! Sam et al; you guys are amazing and we really appreciate you! I genuinely only wish I had more time to come spend enjoying Brujos.

I am a big fan of the indoor/outdoor flow for the space, especially on nice weather afternoons like we have had recently. Outdoor seating is limited, so be prepared to sit inside. Interior seating is not the most comfortable, with former church bleachers that are quite bouncy or large and hard game of thrones-like high chairs. The team is super friendly and will send you to the food station or the bar depending on your needs, and, with the good quality Mexican cuisine on service, you'll want a taco or two. The brewery specializes in Hazy/IPAs, to come expecting to enjoy these PNW basics. I swapped between them and non-alcoholic options since hazies are not my favorite but everyone I was with loved them. The restrooms are clean and there are plenty of bike stands to make this a car-free journey.
