My beer here was fab. The ranch pizzas looked great and I'll try if I return. Lots of seating and nice staff!

I finally found a thick-crust pizza I truly loved after a long time. The crust was almost like focaccia -- airy, light, and clean in flavor without feeling heavy at all. With such fresh toppings, it honestly felt like eating focaccia topped with thoughtfully chosen ingredients. The setup is very casual: you can come in freely, order your own food and drinks, and grab any open seat. The beer was great, the atmosphere was lively and relaxed, and it was the perfect spot to enjoy casually with a group.

It has been a hot minute since going to Baerlic, use to enjoy the little space next door, which I found out is still open. The newer bigger space (old Ladd's TH) is really nice and welcoming, lots of seating in and out. The beers are still solid and the staff are solid & they have Ranch pizza to nibble on. I have stopped by a few times recently on a bike ride for a pint or two, glad I have reacquainted myself...enjoy

Can't beat the pizza!!!! You can try but I'll probably disagree with you. The atmosphere here is very welcoming, the staff is friendly, the selection of beers/rotating ciders is about a mile long. You will have a good time. I've never steered anyone wrong in any of my reviews. I hold nothing back. Eat the drink the and you'll have a good day!

The flight was pretty fun. I gotta say, getting to their barrel aged was some work and I walked away very satisfied. I went ipa heavy.

Great funky brewery in Portland. Loved the beers and the vibe of Baerlic. I'll absolutely go back the next time I'm in Portland.

Dropped in here last weekend to see a local vendors holiday bazaar. Nice of Baerlic to make their space available to local artisans to display and sell their creations.

Met some friends here as we're out of town. We love the back, fenced in picnic table area because we went to visit with 4 toddlers. We appreciated the "everyone welcome" sign because unfortunately kids and breweries get a bad rap, but I'm glad we got to enjoy yourselves while the kids played with their trunks around the rocky floors. Their beers were so tasty as well! My husband loved the Dad beer of course haha. And love all the food options surrounding the brewery and they welcome outside food. Definitely recommend!

Great ambiance, great beers, and great food. What else more could you ask for in a place. Offering both indoor seating, which there was ample space, and outdoor seating, about 5 tables on a patio with a few more smaller tables for a more intimate setting, Baerlic is a great spot to meet up with family and friends to have a good time. With a Ranch PDX serving pizza that is to die for, the vibes were immaculate and provided a good atmosphere. There was plenty of street parking around, so you don't need to worry yourself there. They had a good selection of beers and ciders for you to pick from, it was a bit overwhelming for all the choices. Will definitely come back to this lovely establishment with an empty stomach and parched thirst.

Cute place with large selection. I tried one of their ipas as well as a cream ale. I always enjoy a place that offers multiple sizes of their pours. Plenty of seating. Friendly staff.

Their tap list is extensive but also includes non-standard options. We love to see non-alcoholic beers as well as gluten free beer, cider, cocktails, and other libations. The food menu is great too. There are several items that either come gluten free or can be modified to be. The servers are knowledgeable about the ingredients of the menu items and I feel confident and safe eating here when gluten free is a need for me. They can get pretty crowded, but have several seating options. It was nice out today so outdoor seating was even possible, though it looked like there was a wait. There are tvs in several spots that showcase local sports when possible. There is a kids area and you can sit close while the kids play. Everyone we come in contact with here from servers to hosts are super friendly and welcoming. The food is pretty good. This time around, we shared the garlic Parmesan fries and the chicken wings (buffalo and honey gojuchang sauces). The wings were smoked and moist with good flavor. The fries were alright. More of the aioli would have helped so maybe request extra sauce or get some on the side. The dessert menu has some non-traditional offerings. The highlight for me was the cheesecake. I was assured by a server one time that the chef creates a gluten free cheesecake that rotates on the seasonal dessert menu. The current offering is tiramisu. The coffee chocolate sauce is good and I appreciated the bonus chocolate chip biscotti. The actual cheesecake is decent and I would be excited to try other flavors in the future.

Great rooftop vibe and a fun place to hang out for an afternoon. We ordered a beer flight, and as someone who's had quite a few brewery flights and is pretty open-minded when it comes to beer, this one unfortunately missed the mark for me. Out of the 10 beers, only about 3 were somewhat enjoyable and around 4 were honestly undrinkable. Thankfully, the food redeemed things a bit. We got the pizza with artichoke hearts, mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, and basil. It was super flavorful and the dough was delicious, especially the crust. We also tried the catfish po' boy. It was a little salty, but the fish itself was cooked really well and the sauce was tasty. The spring mix salad with cranberries, slivered almonds, and feta was good too, though I personally would've liked a better toppings-to-lettuce ratio. Overall, I'd come back for the rooftop and food, but probably know to expect mediocre brews.

We ordered a salad and it took about 45 minutes to come out. Their kale Caesar was way better than I thought it would be for a bar! Very fresh with a delicious dressing. Simple with pepitas, kale and raddicio. Cheese and dressing. Their beers are some of my favorite from a local brewery. Their Cloud Mentality is a good choice for IPAs. The line gets long for the bar and there's no way to close your tab if you leave it open unless you're willing to wait in the line again to pay. If you don't do that you will be automatically charged 20% gratuity which is a good deal to not have to line up just to close out.

I am a big fan of the indoor/outdoor flow for the space, especially on nice weather afternoons like we have had recently. Outdoor seating is limited, so be prepared to sit inside. Interior seating is not the most comfortable, with former church bleachers that are quite bouncy or large and hard game of thrones-like high chairs. The team is super friendly and will send you to the food station or the bar depending on your needs, and, with the good quality Mexican cuisine on service, you'll want a taco or two. The brewery specializes in Hazy/IPAs, to come expecting to enjoy these PNW basics. I swapped between them and non-alcoholic options since hazies are not my favorite but everyone I was with loved them. The restrooms are clean and there are plenty of bike stands to make this a car-free journey.

The standout feature for me was the QR code ordering system: scan, order, and close out your tab whenever you're ready, all from your phone. No awkward eye contact trying to flag someone down, no waiting to pay while mentally calculating how close you are to just leaving cash and hoping for the best. That said, if you're not in the mood to embrace your phone as your server, the traditional route is still there. You can walk up to the bar or catch one of the servers floating around. It's a smart setup that solves the "we're busy and maybe a little understaffed" problem without making it your problem. Food-wise, I went with the meatball sub (on special). Handmade pork and beef meatballs, clearly done by someone who knows what they're doing, and the kind of sandwich that requires both commitment and a few extra napkins. No regrets. I paired it with the Breakside Pilsner, which landed comfortably on the higher end of "good"Not life-changing, but absolutely something you'd order again without hesitation, especially if you're settling in for a while.
