I recently went to the 2 year anniversary beer festival for Brujos in Portland, Oregon. Great place, great beer, great food, great city! So much fun spending time at the "scorched church"! The staff is hard working and friendly, even when slammed. The festival was exceptional, and I can't wait to go back!

I went to this brewery for the first time. I live in California and was in town for the Brujos Anniversary event. It was crowded but I did not mind. The line moved pretty quickly and the service was great despite the crowds. We did order nachos and I thought they were delicious and the beer did not disappoint. The place itself has indoor and outdoor seating. I would totally recommend visiting when in Portland.

We loved the music playlist on the 45 minutes until closing Saturday night! Cool gothic vibe with emo jams - request the Brujos emo playlist! The bartender said he did last call before we arrived at 9:28, but he poured us two beers anyway. The Nothling was great and so was the hazy we got. When we visit great notion we'll definitely stop here in the future!

The beer here is so good love the theme of this place it's like Halloween all year round! This place is so cool! One thing I don't appreciate is... when it came to closing time the bartender kind of rushed us saying "5minutes" like fuck girl the bar is already closed let us finish the beer that we paid for!? don't you have to pick up anyway? I've never been to any place serving beer that rushed us like this place. That was the only downfall. After closing if you announced last call at 839 and kick us out by 9 like you really want us to chug .. it was so distasteful. Definitely not a good look let people enjoy their purchase! Cali could never

This was definitely a unique brewery. This place was recommended to us from some friends who had previously visited. When they say heavy metal ambiance, they mean heavy metal ambiance. Decor was point and you knew exactly who they are the moment you step a toe in the door. The space is fairly large. We went on a beer release day so it was pretty crowded but still a bit of room. They do have food but we didn't try it. Someone next to us got tacos and they looked pretty fire. I only had one beer here but I made it count with The Order of Six: Triple Dry Hopped, Triple Hazy India Pale Ale featuring Nelson Sauvin, Nelson Hyperboost, Nelson Hop Kief, Simcoe, Citra, Citra Cryo, Nectaron & Rakau Hop Kief. Brewed for the inaugural "Beer Geek Festival" in Tokyo, Japan. It was delicious and I'd definitely order it again. Check them out if you're in the area!

This spot was so good, my boyfriend and I came back THREE times during our trip to Portland -- that should tell you everything! The beer here is incredible. If you're an experienced beer lover, you'll definitely appreciate the variety and depth of flavor in every pour. Each one felt carefully crafted and full of character -- nothing generic here. You can tell they take their brewing seriously. The surprise standout was the Mexican food they serve alongside the beer -- it wasn't just an afterthought. It was flavorful, filling, and paired perfectly with the drinks. Such a great combo that elevated the whole experience. Shoutout to our bartender Andreas -- he was awesome! Super friendly, helpful, and clearly knows his stuff. He made us feel so welcome and really added to why we kept coming back. This place is a must-visit if you're in Portland and love good beer, good food, and good vibes.

A neat brewery that is located in the industrial NW area. They have beer on tap and some other non beer items as well. My friend enjoyed his beer, and I had their black cherry ginger cider (can). They also have a separate restaurant operating in the building that serves food as well.

Been here twice now. Both times great vibes and great service. Their ambiance is the best part of the place. I have tried a few of their IPA's now and all have been good! Their unholy water is super fun and a unique touch. The unholy water is alcohol free sparkling hops water infused with citra A hops and grapefruit abstrax. You can buy their beers in cans to take home as well! They also had a super cool collection of merchandise, had to get a hoodie, shirt, and some stickers. They partner with El Veijon for food. I highly recommend the El Gobernador taco (6.5). At first I thought it was an over priced taco. But once you eat it... one or two and you are STUFFED. They are 100% worth the price. The taco consists of shrimp, mozzarella, chipotle aioli, and cilantro in a corn tortilla. The sauce selection is fantastic as well! On V-Day they were doing specials the carne asada plate was great. Would absolutely come back!

Awesome brewery experience unlike any other in Portland. Ambiance was amazing and one of a kind giving you almost like a dark medieval type vibe with metal music playing in the background. Not to mention all the beers were amazing proving that this isn't just some gimmicky place. It definitely has the vibes and the beers to match. Staff was super helpful and nice in recommending some popular choices based on my taste and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're into good beer and into goth vibey places.

If you want a great beer, especially a hazy, this is YOUR spot, coming from SoCal. Brujos reminds me of Monkish, Green Cheek, and Everywhere. It truly hits all the check marks, from amazing food to amazing service! Like a goof I lost my ring and the staff went above and beyond and then some to help me grab it from the crawl space. I came for the beer and ended with a a story for a lifetime. Come for a beer and end up with a story to tell your friends!

A few months back I got to visit this brewery. It's been on my list since having their stouts has had me wanting more. The brewery is SICK! When entering the brewery the art and details suck you into their magic. They also have an outdoor covered seating area. I tried and assortment of beers and came back a few times during my stay. They had a lot of IPA's and some guests beers on tap. I was also able to try a few stouts, but no luck on bottles as I was way past a release. The beertender was friendly and hilarious. He was showing off a champion belt he won! He also recommended some greet beers to try. We definitely took a lot of cool prop photos around the brewery with our beers. Can't wait to visit again on my next trip to Portland.

The beer was amazing and the tacos were a nice addition. I had the triple hazy IPA. It was delicious. Never had any beer quite like it. The service was good and knowledgeable. It appeared to have a large seating area indoor and a nice outdoor patio.

Left it. Not putting others at risk bc this is the smallest pour available of a 13 percent beer

Drove cross country on a road trip really excited to try this spot as they have elite haze. I'm personally in the camp that high ABV beers over 10 percent that do not offer less that 10oz pours promote unsafe drinking and are a money grab. I'd kindly pay more pour ounce that to risk my safety or someone else's to drink these high abv beers. Drank a half of a 10oz 13 percent pour and left. Biggest let down of road trip so far. Just the 2nd of 45 breweries sampled over the past few weeks cross country that this was a thing.

Ask the Community - Brujos Brewing

What is on the food menu?

They were transitioning to a new menu/food type when I was there. Give 'em a call and see :) Beer and place are fabulous !

Are kids allowed? Swinging through and sadly have two little demons with me. Hoping to grab a few four packs to go.

No, it's for 21 and up. Don't wanna bring little kids inside a bar. Looks bad man. Haha but you can go inside to buy some cans.

Are there bike racks next to Brujos brew pub?

    Yes

Their tap list is extensive but also includes non-standard options. We love to see non-alcoholic beers as well as gluten free beer, cider, cocktails, and other libations. The food menu is great too. There are several items that either come gluten free or can be modified to be. The servers are knowledgeable about the ingredients of the menu items and I feel confident and safe eating here when gluten free is a need for me. They can get pretty crowded, but have several seating options. It was nice out today so outdoor seating was even possible, though it looked like there was a wait. There are tvs in several spots that showcase local sports when possible. There is a kids area and you can sit close while the kids play. Everyone we come in contact with here from servers to hosts are super friendly and welcoming. The food is pretty good. This time around, we shared the garlic Parmesan fries and the chicken wings (buffalo and honey gojuchang sauces). The wings were smoked and moist with good flavor. The fries were alright. More of the aioli would have helped so maybe request extra sauce or get some on the side. The dessert menu has some non-traditional offerings. The highlight for me was the cheesecake. I was assured by a server one time that the chef creates a gluten free cheesecake that rotates on the seasonal dessert menu. The current offering is tiramisu. The coffee chocolate sauce is good and I appreciated the bonus chocolate chip biscotti. The actual cheesecake is decent and I would be excited to try other flavors in the future.

Great rooftop vibe and a fun place to hang out for an afternoon. We ordered a beer flight, and as someone who's had quite a few brewery flights and is pretty open-minded when it comes to beer, this one unfortunately missed the mark for me. Out of the 10 beers, only about 3 were somewhat enjoyable and around 4 were honestly undrinkable. Thankfully, the food redeemed things a bit. We got the pizza with artichoke hearts, mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, and basil. It was super flavorful and the dough was delicious, especially the crust. We also tried the catfish po' boy. It was a little salty, but the fish itself was cooked really well and the sauce was tasty. The spring mix salad with cranberries, slivered almonds, and feta was good too, though I personally would've liked a better toppings-to-lettuce ratio. Overall, I'd come back for the rooftop and food, but probably know to expect mediocre brews.

We ordered a salad and it took about 45 minutes to come out. Their kale Caesar was way better than I thought it would be for a bar! Very fresh with a delicious dressing. Simple with pepitas, kale and raddicio. Cheese and dressing. Their beers are some of my favorite from a local brewery. Their Cloud Mentality is a good choice for IPAs. The line gets long for the bar and there's no way to close your tab if you leave it open unless you're willing to wait in the line again to pay. If you don't do that you will be automatically charged 20% gratuity which is a good deal to not have to line up just to close out.

The standout feature for me was the QR code ordering system: scan, order, and close out your tab whenever you're ready, all from your phone. In a busy restaurant, this feels less like a gimmick and more like a small act of genius. No awkward eye contact trying to flag someone down, no waiting to pay while mentally calculating how close you are to just leaving cash and hoping for the best. That said, if you're not in the mood to embrace your phone as your server, the traditional route is still there. You can walk up to the bar or catch one of the servers floating around. It's a smart setup that solves the "we're busy and maybe a little understaffed" problem without making it your problem. Food-wise, I went with the meatball sub (on special). Handmade pork and beef meatballs, clearly done by someone who knows what they're doing, and the kind of sandwich that requires both commitment and a few extra napkins. No regrets. I paired it with the Breakside Pilsner, which landed comfortably on the higher end of "good"Not life-changing, but absolutely something you'd order again without hesitation, especially if you're settling in for a while. Overall, it's a place that feels like it understands how people actually want to eat and drink right now.
