    Dirty fries with Pulled Pork

Went out with family tonight, the restaurant we went to originally, had a party and closed to the public. So we said hey, Breakside Brewery is just down the block! So we all walked. A cool corner establishment. We were greeted and directed to menus with a que r code to place an order. Sure beats the long line at the bar. So we found a nice table up stairs for underage to join. We all place our orders and the kitchen upstairs was quick to deliver. Food was great. We ordered the dirty fries, salads, Cheese Burgers and a Rueben Sand. Everything was delicious. Good size servings. I split my sandwich with 2 others, it was just a bit too much for me. We also ordered various drinks. Their Peanut Butter Stout was perfect with my sandwich.

My wife and I were in Portland for a long weekend and my sister said this was a great place to get beer and food after our flight. The place is very close to the airport and we entered the cool looking brewery with lots of taps. I ordered an IPA, which was delicious. I ordered the Cubano, which you can never go wrong with and our server brought it over with a smile. Lots of meat piled high on the nice loaf of bread and it was real good. I would recommend this place for a bite after landing and have a couple of beers and a meal.

The ladies behind the bar pretend not to see me, I sat waiting for 20 minutes and just left, and it was my birthday! Thank you!

I haven't been here in a few years, and it was good to stop by for lunch. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating. It has a nice neighborhood vibe to it. We just ordered some of their wings special and loaded sidewinder fries. The wings were well made and full of flavor. The sidewinder fries were excellent.

The location is fantastic with a pretty sweet focus on the kidsters! Great place for a week night grub sesh. Extra points for the beer and a cheeseburger for $15! Other food is a smidge pricey but that burger is absolutely nom worthy. The only downfall is the QR system. I understand it gets busy but it's not 2020 anymore. The heavy reliance (and only option) of a QR code is unfriendly and impersonal. I appreciated the suggestion from the passing server though to opt in for a tuna burger without the bun for a pretty sweet salad that left me feeling new years resolution worthy

    Oily fries

Beers are okay, nothing to really come back for. As for the food, it is bad. We split the farm bird and the fries. Farm bird chicken was dry but extremely spicy. As for the fries... they must have a syringe in the back where they inject them full of oil. Pic attached shows how much oil was in one tiny piece. If you want to squirt out of your behind after eating, this is the place to eat at!

I wish I could give 10/5 stars! 100% worth the stop in. We had wonderful service, both our waiter and waitress were SO friendly, talkative and helpful. We ordered the soft pretzel to start and it was piping hot and fresh. I had the blackened chicken sandwich and it was delicious! Great seasoning! I would highly recommend stopping in!

A Reuben you can expect to have about HALF the meat on.

Ordered a Reuben via Uber eats last night. Good flavor, although an actual Reuben is made witb RUSSIAN DRESSING, *not* 1,000 Island unless you're pulling it out of a Sysco half-gallon plastic jug. Do NOT expect this to be what you get in the sustainable packaging. Figure on half the meat, then decide if you're cool with that. It's a helluva lot better than Charlie's Deli though, where you'll get half a sandwich and 1/4 of the meat for the price and the sandwich shown. SURPRISE!! Order once, 86 from then on.

We came for burger week and the burger was ok... also got the dirty fries but it was also only ok... probably won't come here again since there are other breweries with better food. We don't drink either. Service was ok and there are outside seating so technically dogs are allowed there

In a word excellent on both counts. The food was fresh and delicious for me and my family. Great service with a smile and good beer and cocktail for us. My hubby was wanting a Reuben and hankering for sauerkraut.....and the pastrami...we're both delicious. I ordered a fresh as rain superfood salad...especially the Brussel sprouts, son Bobby's caesar quite good. Daughter Kateri had a great hamburger served just as instructed. Thank you for the stellar food and service..next time we are in Portland - we will make a p9oint of dining here again.

    Breakside's Wanderlust IPA

Breakside Brewery continues to never disappoint! We have been getting their beer for years and always enjoyed it! The latest two beers that we have had and were thrilled by was their White Wit beer. This biscuity flavored wit beer also has notes of coriander and orange brought together perfectly. Smooth and light in body this wit beer is a joy to drink like most wit beers usually are for me. The next beer was the Wanderlust IPA. An excellent IPA that has floral, fruity and hoppy flavor notes to the beer. Also smooth in body this IPA is fairly light and perfect to kick back with has the days start getting warmer and winter starts losing it's grip so much of us can indulge in our wanderlust.

    Fish Tacos

Went to Breakside Brewing on Dekum after a 5 year hiatus. Found a beer I could enjoy and then looked at their menu. Wow, how times have changed. Their menu seems to have been obliterated. I'm presuming because of Covid. So I found the fish tacos which sounded amazing. I ordered them and out came these two fish tacos. The fish I could barely find. It was like a fish stick cut lengthwise in half and one half was in one taco and the other half in the other taco. Flavor was good minus the fish flavor that was missing. Also, almost every item that I saw served came in paper red and white baskets. What happened to real plates and such like you used to have? We're not at a food cart. I looked at menus of their other locations and they all seem pretty slim with the exception of the Astoria location and Slabtown. The staff was great and friendly though I was sitting at the bar. For a Saturday afternoon they weren't extremely busy but had a decent crowd.

Does anybody know if this location has a kids play area? Or anything to entertain kids? Thanks :-)?

No kids play area at the Dekum location. The one in NW seems more kid friendly.

The Wanderlust IPA is creamy and fruity with just the right amount of tang- I'd say it's the best IPA in town.

Their tap list is extensive but also includes non-standard options. We love to see non-alcoholic beers as well as gluten free beer, cider, cocktails, and other libations. The food menu is great too. There are several items that either come gluten free or can be modified to be. The servers are knowledgeable about the ingredients of the menu items and I feel confident and safe eating here when gluten free is a need for me. They can get pretty crowded, but have several seating options. It was nice out today so outdoor seating was even possible, though it looked like there was a wait. There are tvs in several spots that showcase local sports when possible. There is a kids area and you can sit close while the kids play. Everyone we come in contact with here from servers to hosts are super friendly and welcoming. The food is pretty good. This time around, we shared the garlic Parmesan fries and the chicken wings (buffalo and honey gojuchang sauces). The wings were smoked and moist with good flavor. The fries were alright. More of the aioli would have helped so maybe request extra sauce or get some on the side. The dessert menu has some non-traditional offerings. The highlight for me was the cheesecake. I was assured by a server one time that the chef creates a gluten free cheesecake that rotates on the seasonal dessert menu. The current offering is tiramisu. The coffee chocolate sauce is good and I appreciated the bonus chocolate chip biscotti. The actual cheesecake is decent and I would be excited to try other flavors in the future.

Great rooftop vibe and a fun place to hang out for an afternoon. We ordered a beer flight, and as someone who's had quite a few brewery flights and is pretty open-minded when it comes to beer, this one unfortunately missed the mark for me. Out of the 10 beers, only about 3 were somewhat enjoyable and around 4 were honestly undrinkable. Thankfully, the food redeemed things a bit. We got the pizza with artichoke hearts, mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, and basil. It was super flavorful and the dough was delicious, especially the crust. We also tried the catfish po' boy. It was a little salty, but the fish itself was cooked really well and the sauce was tasty. The spring mix salad with cranberries, slivered almonds, and feta was good too, though I personally would've liked a better toppings-to-lettuce ratio. Overall, I'd come back for the rooftop and food, but probably know to expect mediocre brews.

We ordered a salad and it took about 45 minutes to come out. Their kale Caesar was way better than I thought it would be for a bar! Very fresh with a delicious dressing. Simple with pepitas, kale and raddicio. Cheese and dressing. Their beers are some of my favorite from a local brewery. Their Cloud Mentality is a good choice for IPAs. The line gets long for the bar and there's no way to close your tab if you leave it open unless you're willing to wait in the line again to pay. If you don't do that you will be automatically charged 20% gratuity which is a good deal to not have to line up just to close out.

Interior seating is not the most comfortable, with former church bleachers that are quite bouncy or large and hard game of thrones-like high chairs. The team is super friendly and will send you to the food station or the bar depending on your needs, and, with the good quality Mexican cuisine on service, you'll want a taco or two.
