"The name on the door should be surrounded with a pair of quotation marks."…read more I made my first visit to "Hemptations" this past Four-Twenty. I was hoping to find a few gems for my "A Little TOO Happy Hour". Where else are you going to go on "Stoner Christmas"? The thought was that this place would be a lot more "Grateful Dead/Phish Hippy-Dippy", but I quickly learned that hemp is a little more "Touch of Grey". That is to say: "boOoOoring". Hemp paper, hemp shirts, hemp necklaces are all totally there, but none have committed to any sort of discernible style. And they're all a little pricey. Compared to cotton, I'm somewhat sure that hemp is no more ecological, but I am absolutely certain that it is no more economical. I did come across some incense that was usable for my purposes, but clothing, stickers, and decorations: let's just say you'd be better off at Spencer's or a Walmart, as they were completely devoid of Grateful Dead Bears, tie-dye, Jimi Hendrix posters, and Rastafarian Lions. "Signs, signs, everywhere a sign": Upstairs and in the back is the super secret special "paraphernalia" room, er, I mean, "the pipes". There is an extra veil of security to this space. A bead curtain entry. Signage about how an employee must accompany you. More signs about using the proper terminology. Signs about asking the employees if you don't know the proper terminology. I think somewhere behind all the signs they were actually selling bongs and hookahs, er, water pipes? All that and "no long haired freaky people" whatsoever. Kind of the opposite of what you'd expect from a place like called "Hemptations".

I bought a battery and plugged it in the first time to charge it, it sparked and melted through the battery within 10 min of having it. When I bought it I was told it was a new product and to come back and tell them how it works. I came back to tell them it almost started a fire and the guy shrugged his shoulders and said don't know what to do. Happy to take my business to Planet Caravan, I was just trying to support local.

If you desire the very best in interior design, call Sally Waxman. She is someone who will work to…read moreunderstand your needs and will treat you with courtesy and respect. Sally is the most stylish person you'll ever meet and she has an uncanny ability to become one with her customers sense of style. She brings a lifetime of design talents coupled with a cadre of supporting consultants, artists, painters, construction experts, and an in-depth knowledge of product types and trends We first used Sally in 2003 when we bought a new house and it needed some finishing touches. Sally interviewed us, assessed our needs, and then brought over to our house all manners of wallhangings, lamps, shades, valance material, and accessories. In 2014 we undertook a complete renovation. We wanted a couch that we had seen at the Waldorf in Rome a few years past. We described it to Sally and she called the hotel in Rome, then visited the local material library and brought everything together. The couch was perfect. We were also influenced by the beautiful marble bathrooms that we experienced while in Europe. Sally put us in touch with a bathroom architect that had done projects in such prestigious locations as the Venetian in Las Vegas. Our bathroom is the crowning achievement of the project, and was such a stunning piece of work that the contractor placed a photograph of it on the cover of his marketing brochure. If it's one lamp or a whole house re-decoration, Sally will be your partner. She never disappoints and is dogged in her pursuit of perfection. Through her business, she makes friends and builds relationships. You will look forward to the end of your project, but you will also know that you will miss her when it's done. We have wanted to redo our great room for awhile and the timing was finally right. I stopped in…read moreHoffman and Albers briefly one evening and spoke with a designer, Heidi. She was very pleasant and seem knowledgeable. I contacted her through email for a consultation a few days later. I heard nothing for 6 days and sent another email to her and to the main email for Hoffman and Albers. Heidi responded that she never received my email, but we could schedule something for the current week. I responded with a day and told her I could get more specific about the time. I sent another email the following day with a specific time, asking if that would work out. Again, I heard nothing back. I finally sent an email that this wasn't going to work and received a response to that. Without going into detail, it was not the most professional response. I am surprised that in an industry where communication and customer relations are vital, Hoffman and Albers failed miserably. That should be a red flag for anyone seeking design services. I came willingly with checkbook open, and couldn't even get a consultation scheduled.
