Handzy is a super cute store for adults that is next to Gumdrop, a quality kids store. They are joined so you can easily go from one to the other. Handzy has a bunch of cutesy accessories, stickers, clothes and coffee mugs (I love the fried egg mug but can't justify $50 for a coffee mug). They currently have a bunch of soft overalls in stock which all the rage, and I love the different colors of hair clips and chunky earrings as well. This is great place to stop if you need a gift or a greeting card for someone, although prices are a little steep. read more

I've always been a huge fan of this shop!! It has adorable clothes, jewelry, gifts, puzzles, artwork, kid books, stuffed animals, you name it! But after shopping there today, I felt extra compelled to leave a review. I stopped by this morning and was so excited to see they are now offering coffee, yum! I needed to grab a gift for a friend and my toddler was VERY excited by all the cute toys which, as other mamas can imagine, made it a bit tricky to get my shopping done. The shop owner, Brittney, jumped in and started chatting with my little one and even read her a book so I could grab what I needed. Above and beyond!! What a cute store. I learned about it after complimenting my co-workers pretty pink jacket. I stopped by and with their courteous help had a gift bag full of goodies for my girlfriend's pending birthday. Got a candle, chocolate candies, a pretty purple writing pen and watercolor covered notebook. Can't wait to watch her expression when she opens it up. I had heard great things about this place and was SO excited to go. on Sunday after going to cedar for brunch, I went to Handsy. it was full of bright colors and a fun vibe, which I am ALLLL about! I looked at some things and found some pieces I wanted to. try on. I went into the fitting room and put on the things I found. I noticed that everything was so thin and felt kinda cheap for the price point. If I am going to spend $70 on a sweater and $40 on a tiny tank, I want it to be really nice. and something that will last. Oh not to mention.. when I picked up a pair of cute earrings, it literally fell. apart. in. my. hand. like.... seriously?????? It mostly just felt junky overall. I feel bad saying anything because the employee was so sweet and helpful and I love supporting small and local businesses when I can. But I just have to be real and speak my truth of this experience. but seriously I hope they treat their employees well! read more

*****Online purchase review**** I came across this lovely store last month and fell in love with a pink faux leather jacket so I purchased it. I had initially ordered so I could take it to Disneyland before it closed down but I didn't receive it until last night since the post office held onto it. No biggie. The jacket is super cute and short enough for me since I'm petite. There's a cool selection of items online so I'm sure I'll be buying from them again. I recently needed a new journal and I went to Handzy's website to see what they had. I found two journals and a sticker to order. Handzy is a cute clothing boutique with little knick knack items. They have clothes, candles, hair accessories, jewelry, body care and much more. I've been twice now. The first time I was successful finding two items I purchased. I bought two rompers. One was more dressy and the other was more casual. Both very cute pieces! The employees are always nice and helpful. The owners are a little meh! I remember being at the cash register checking out and they walked in. Neither of them addressed me to say hello or just be friendly considering I was a customer. They both walked right past and no one ever said anything. They walked back past me to go back out the door! They were certainly not the friendliest to be store owners. This did through me off a bit but other than that I like Handzy! They are a hit and miss shop. Sometimes you will find cute pieces and sometimes you won't. The second time I went, I did not find anything. Their price points are pretty average. What a great find! Stores like Handzy are what makes this country great. Entrepreneurs who get it. The owners put together an eclectic variety of products not found in big box stores. We purchased a sweet winter hat for my daughter in Chicago, a sassy jumper for my wife, and stocked up on super cool greeting cards. I understand the two owners create the greeting cards. It's rare to walk into a store and feel like they created a real gem. They are located a block from Braxton so check them out when normalcy comes back. read more

I LOOOVE this shop. Not only am I drawn by the bright yellow theme from the outside, but what's in the store keeps me coming back. This is my first and only stop for my card needs. Being of the age where all my friends are getting married and creating families, they have an awesome selection of non-cookie cutter cards for just those occasions. I love it because i know my card will stand out from the rest. A little perk is that you'll get a stamp card and after your 10th card you get a free one! I keep losing mine so I have not been so fortunate (keep it safe). Handzy has many other things to offer in their shop as well. Prints, tee's, hand made jewelry, pottery, notebooks, enamel pins. They also do customized cards (aka. wedding invites and so on) for all your stationary needs. One of the coolest things I have picked up here was a watercolor of the entrance to Lunken Airport (a perfect gift for pilot friends). The owners are charming young ladies who were so nice and helpful! While at Handzy, I bought a set of coasters for my new loft in OTR (don't want to ruin my antique furniture!); they are made by Cincinnati's own Tom Will Make and are a combo of cork and wood which make them look awesome. I was drawn in after brunch by the cutesy sign out front that said "OMG SALE" The staff working were more than happy to entertain my squeals over the ADORABLE baby/toddler clothes... which, delighted me. Hey, I'm easy to please! I also found myself an adorable silk neck scarf and a gift for a friend! If I had let myself I would have bought tons of jewelry and assorted office supplies and paper goods. Somehow, I held my life together and didn't walk out with half the store. They seem to carry small-large in clothes, though depending on how you're built, a large may work for those who normally might fall in the xl category... I was delighted to learn they're expanding and hope to be open in the same location with double the space by October... my hope is that things brings more great things as well as a few clothing items in larger sizes. This place is the best combination of everything you could ever want in one location (okay they didn't have bacon but still, listen y'all) --- local establishment run by girl bosses + handmade cards that are insanely funny if you don't laugh out loud in the store you're living life incorrectly + the best jewelry (I purchased two pairs of earrings) + stationary that if you sit at a desk all day you will die for the colored staplers people.
