I have always loved RW's design and originality. I've taken several of the classes there and have learned so much. I recently received a beautiful arrangement from my partner from RW because he knows how much I love them! I changed the water after 2 days and added the flower preserver. Unfortunately, the roses and 1 of the Zinnias had already started to wilt. I did not have the arrangement in the window/bright light, kept it cool, and kept an eye on the water level. I don't think after 2 days there should be any flowers that are completely wilted. I'm very disappointed. I can't imagine how much this arrangement cost. read more

I ordered the designer's arrangement and left it up to them to make up something pretty . All I said was it was to be low and lush , and colors were to be vibrant . This was 75$ and a total of 97$ with a delivery fee and tax . It was beautiful , but disappointed to see what looks like carnations in it . When I picked up the bouquet, the only thing I could think of was a line from Seinfeld. "They're real and they're spectacular!" My flowers were lovely, bright yellows and greens. But that came with some problems. I met with Robin in July and left without signing a contract. I called that day and said I wanted to set my date aside. I called a lot to find out how much the deposit was, and I finally went in and paid it. They had spelled my name wrong, so there was some confusion there. Hence, why a lot of my calls where I talked to someone were all about how I hadn't put down my date when I had because my name was wrong. So I paid, and awhile later, I called to change some things. Robin was in a meeting, so I was told I would get a call back. I didn't, so I called back and another worker took down the changes. I never got an updated quote, so i called back and got Robin. Turns out, I never signed a contract. So two weeks before my wedding, I finally signed it. I got the quote back and made sure everything was correct. I was really specific with boutonnieres - I even showed a picture of one with billy balls (the small yellow balls) and lined out what I wanted. I don't know much about flowers, but I had certain things I wanted and I wanted something very similar to the photo I gave and I saw it written on the quote. So morning of my wedding, I go pick them up. Bouquets were lovely, albeit with a few more roses than I would have liked (I really dislike roses and had stated this) but there were so many other beautiful flowers (I do know little about flowers, only how they look) that it was pretty much unnoticable. I stupidly left without checking the boutonnieres. I get home to give the boys their flowers, and open them. And there are a bunch of really hideous plain white roses with a tiny amount of green. Having light grey and white suits, well, these looked really bad with the suits. And I hated them. And time is going by and I have no one but me to drive around and do all this. I called, and I brought them back to get them redone. Which, involved us being about an hour late on schedule and driving more around in the rain. When I got there, they apologized and Robin even said it said billy balls on the quote sheet. They didn't have billy balls, so something else had to be improvised. It worked out, but I was still a little disappointed. Everyone thought they were dandelions and kept making fun of how I had a weed in my boutinneries and why would I choose that and let me tell you how unhappy I was with those guests because...well I didn't choose them. Robin is a great florist - just the organizational skills there are terrible. Great flowers - a pain to work with in my opinion. It's a toss up. read more

A good friend of mine had passed away and since she was from Cincinnati, her funeral had taken place there. Being from California, I really didn't know what to expect from Florists in Ohio. I googled "florists" in Cincinnati and had found Robin Wood Flowers. They had high reviews, and so I thought they could serve me well. I called them up and the representative was very friendly, she offered her condolences and told me the price of everything would be $75. There was no mention of delivery fees, taxes so I assumed it was included in the $75. i asked her if she could send me a picture of the arrangement and she agreed. When I got a picture of the arrangement, it was pricier then California but that's to be expected, especially since we have fields of flowers here. Fast forward a few days later and the credit card did not go through because the representative had wrote it down wrong. After giving them the correct numbers, I asked her if she could tell me the price again. The price had jumped up to $93. I asked her what the extra $18 was for and she said taxes and delivery. When I told her that I was not told of any additional fees, she told me she'd get a manager to contact me. The manager was very rude, tried to explained to me what sales tax was, interrupted me several times and during the whole conversation she talked down to me. She told me it was illegal for me to not pay sales tax and it "was a given" that I'd have to pay a delivery fee. I've ordered flowers before and they usually just add that into the price they gave me. Like I stated above, there was no mention of any additional fees. I have no problems paying the fees but because they were so sneaky about it and were not helpful at all, I refused to pay. She finally told me they would "eat" the costs of delivery but as a small business and a premier florist of Cincinnati, she would not pay the sales tax. I let her know I'd talk to my bank about this. I would definitely not recommend this florist to anybody. read more

First off - I will say that my bouquets for the wedding were absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. The centerpieces, not so much. We met first with Robin about 6 months before our wedding, where she seemed to take copious notes on what we wanted and she even suggested to us doing a certain centerpiece (she showed photos of an event where she did some) and we loved it all. When we met with her about a month before the wedding, she not only showed up 20 minutes late for our meeting - that both my husband and I had to leave work early to get to because they told us she could not meet later - but she had basically forgotten everything we talked about. She didn't remember the flowers I said I wanted to be central to the event nor anything else she seemed to be so enthused on at our earlier meeting. Luckily, I brought photos of exactly how I wanted my bouquets and one of the two table decorations. Well - day of the wedding - they were 40 minutes late to deliver my flowers to the point where we almost had to leave for photos without them. When we got them, I absolutely loved them and was pretty happy. UNTIL we got to the venue and the tables with the decorations I gave her the photo of were perfect - the others were absolutely awful. Not in any way, shape or form what they were supposed to be. I was incredibly upset. Fortunately, Robin rushed over to try and fix them and did a good job of making them more like I wanted them to look. Not how they were supposed to from our meeting, but pretty and definitely better. Overall, Robin does lovely flowers - but I think she, like many florists, is somewhat scatterbrained and if you want something to look exactly how you want it, you need to provide photos. Otherwise, you'll get whatever is in her memory or how she feels like doing them that day. read more

Spoke with someone for a half hour to choose an arrangement, arrange for pick up,etc. Two days prior to the service I called to confirm and the order was lost.
