I think this place finally imploded. Can't say I didn't see it coming. Bike store employee/mechanics are either A) awesome, or B) awful. One of the regular guys here was awful. He would say lame bro stuff with literally no prompting. I guess he just assumed that because I'm a man that I want to hear "giggity-giggity" locker-room stuff when I come in asking about a part. I can't imagine that women or families found it comfortable to shop or patronize the place, and I can't imagine why I never saw a woman near the place whenever I was up there. Their inventory was very limited. I think they were running out of captal/credit and it looked like they couldn't afford to restock. They ordered me a part, then for weeks I kept hearing, "oh, I think it's coming on _______day. Oh, let me check the invoice number and get back to you. Oh, we got a big order in today. We have to inventory everything first but I will give you call later." No one would call me back. Ever. I think I finally got a call several weeks later saying the part had arrived, but by then I had another shop source the part/do the work. They got the part within days. I tried to make this my go to place for parts and maintenance that I couldn't do at home, but it was just too challenging. All in all, it just became more sensible to drive a little further to places that had less obnoxious staff, better turn-around-time, and an all-around healthier vibe. I really want any LBS to do well. But some of these places fall into a death-spiral that is real difficult to pull out of. Unfortunately, I found that this place was circling the drain. read more

I've been buying all my parts from here lately. They are starting to carry bikes from Cubed. Who makes some really good bikes that you don't see much of around here. I've noticed some other really cool brands that they carry as well. The owner is a big advocate in our community and government for maintaining our mountain bike trails and organizing group rides with the NICA team for kids and general public rides that is inclusive of everyone. read more

.Thought Adam went above & beyond to get me a Sun Cruz 7. So gave him my brand new seldom rode with low mileage Women's Liv Rove 3 which I bought March 2022. Got $450 from him. It had a extension stem for the handlebars. When he put the Sun on the new bike rack, I noticed that the seat twisted. Silly me, thought that he was going to get a tool to tighten it. Not so, I noticed on my way home to PA, it was twisted while driving on the highway. While in shop, anyone who came in while I tried to pay for the bike; he would just wait on them. It occurred 2x. You would have thought that my sale was important. Can't not ride the bike safely for the seat moves. 2 weeks now. I'm sure someone is able to ride the Rove 3. He told me that the seat didn't move until after he put it on the bike rack. I won't play that game. Waiting on a part since he said on 8/26/2024 that he would send it. Called him today to find out were it was. Gave me a Fed Ex tracking number and just been told that it is invalid by Fed Ex??? I'm not sure what to think. It's a head scratcher. Adam is great, Giant bikes are the best. The showroom/dealership? Pretty much anything you want you'll have to order. They say two weeks, but ours was over four weeks. If you need it "now" you may want to explore options but this is the only Giant dealer around now. I don't run or know how the business works, but I can't understand why there are not more than there are to buy off the floor. You may walk in, and they MAY have exactly what you want but probably not. Unless it's an electric bike. Big money bikes. Would I go there again? Sure. Just don't be in a rush if you need it now. Horrible service. Ordered a bike, they charged my credit card and told me it would be 2 weeks. I called multiple times to get updates. Unable to leave messages because the mailbox is always full. It's now been 4 weeks with no bike. The guy who works Mondays can't and won't help. Now all I want is my money back read more

Customer service is horrible, rude, indifferent- definitely not southern (or northern) hospitality. Bought a Saris bike rack here in 2022. Something went wrong with it. Went in and Adam said he would order the part. No problem- stuff goes wrong and it's got lifetime warranty. I waited to hear from Adam- never did so I called. He's not sure when it's coming, he will call me back in two days. He never calls. I call him. He asks if I purchased the rack at this location- what? I assure him that I did and he says he's getting in touch with the rep as he doesn't know why the part is not in. He will call me back- He NEVER does- ever! Two weeks later I stop by to see what is going on. He does not greet or acknowledge me & husband when we walk in as he is with a customer. Minutes later he turns to us and says - he'll get the part. Why didn't I get a call? How long was it there? If we hadn't stopped by how long would I have waited. He never said I'm sorry it took so long. He never offered any explanation. He never said thank you. He will NEVER see my face again to purchase anything at his store nor will I ever advise anyone to shop at this store. read more

I took my Giant Bike here 5 weeks ago to do some repairs. The place is very professional and the repair center was able to give me an estimate on the spot and they told me how long it was going to take. They were very upfront and transparent. If you have a giant bike they will definitely take good care of it. I saw them repairing a couple of different brands too so if you have a different brand you may want to call them to confirm. I am taking 1 star off because at the moment they are very busy so my repair even though it was not complicated it took 5 week to complete!!! We could probably blame Covid as people keep looking for ways to distract themselves but I was told by other friends that despite of Covid there are other places that are not so backed up. Therefore if you need a repair done faster you may want to call around first. read more

I went in to Giant Wake Forest a few weeks ago for the first time after finally dusting off my Trek 2000 from 2003. I was in need of a better understanding of what my body was doing on the bike and making sure that as I went beyond 20 miles for a ride I wasn't going to inadvertently injure myself simply based on my riding position. I ended up speaking to Adam, the store owner, who has passion for biking literally emanating from his body like a cycling Angel sent to make sure you have a good time. The guy literally wants you to be on a bike! He suggested a few things, starting with new cycling shorts, as well as some new shoes. These were complete game changers. He didn't try to sell me the most expensive, but did explain the differences and let me make the decision myself. Based on this experience, I deduced to go back for a bike "sizing", a bit cheaper and more streamlined than a full "fit", it still hit the high points of seat height adjustment, seat fore-aft, analysis of my pedal stroke, as well as getting some insoles for my shoes that better align my knees to prevent injury and maximize efficiency. We discovered that my seat post was entirely too short to support my needs and he replaced it on the spot. Finally, and this was a shock, he analyzed the way my butt fit on the seat, and we found one that was more comfortable and didn't impede my motions as much. The reason it was a shock was because they actually have a seat loaner program! I paid 30.00 as a deposit, and now I have that seat on my bike to take on a longer ride. That 30.00 can be applied to any new seat as I make the decision on shape, and ultimately weight. As I was in between parts of the adjustment process, other folks walked in and spoke to other employees, or Adam. They were all able to discuss the customers needs, make recommendations, and continued to show me that it wasn't about making a quick sale or up-sell, it was literally about making sure somebody was going to have a great experience from the time they walked into the door to the time they got on two wheels. While I'm currently riding an older Trek, I do plan to upgrade to a Giant, through Adam and Giant Wake Forest in the next year. Highly recommend this shop for your cycling needs! read more

So, I finally had the chance to go in and check out this new store. It was remarkably clean and very well put together. There is a wide variety of bikes for me and my whole family to choose from with price ranges from casual rider to high-level competitor and racer. They also have, or can get, any accessory that you can look for. If you are looking for a road bike or an off-road mountain bike, this is absolutely the place to be! I spoke with Adam, and he was very knowledgeable and I could immediately tell that he was sincere and passionate in his desire to help. I also spoke with John, who runs the service department. He is extremely knowledgeable and will be the first person I go to if I need any service on my bike. They also do an incredible job fitting you for your bike and Adam can put you through the FIT system to get everything perfect!!!!! read more

I went in to check out new bikes in this trying pandemic the salesman was awesome I had a couple questions about some older bike we have, salesman sent me to the guy that runs the service department. I walked to the back counter where he was working (making passes at the high school girl working when clearly he is 30ish with a beard) I wait till he is finished and ask my questions with with a total change in his tone he answered my questions. Trying to make me feel dumb (I already had questions). He did have a good amount of knowledge but was one of the rudest people I have ever talked to. I ordered a bike online that arrived damaged and was looking for a replacement as I was sending it back. I stopped into GWF and met with Jon & Adam and told them what I was looking for and what my budget was. They helped me pick out a bike that was perfect for me and fell within my budget. They went above and beyond and helped me with boxing up the old bike to be returned. These guys are very knowledgeable, courteous and I wouldn't hesitate a second to recommend them to anyone. To bad car shopping isn't as pleasurable as this experience. If your looking for a bike do yourself a favor and go to this shop. read more
