a plate of french fries and a half eaten pizza
    Mike R.

Pizza and fries were on point. The potato skins (9.99) are not worth ordering. They could be the worst thing I've ever eaten in a restaurant, they also took forever. The pizza and the fries were pretty good though. Stay away from the potato skins.

Great option. A nice sweet sauce, which they give plenty of. Good cheese and friendly people. Could've been cooked a little longer, but otherwise was a great pizza.

Best gluten free pizza, you can hardly tell it's gluten free because it has the right consistency of a regular pizza!

Used to be good when I first went here back in 2013-2014, nowadays the pizza is way too greasy for my liking. Service here is good though.

Tonight, we ordered a pizza and grinder and the grinder was missing quite a few ingredients and was burned.

Mare E Monti - Exceptional Authentic Italian & Seafood Pasta Spot in Worcester, MA…read more Mare E Monti is an exceptional Italian gem -- probably home to the best seafood pasta I've ever had. I was in town ahead of a half marathon near Hampton Beach on Sunday. After a long drive and a surprise call that my extended family was touring the East Coast nearby, we decided to meet halfway -- and Worcester made perfect sense. I booked a table for eight at 8 PM on Saturday. We miscounted our party, which led to about a 45-minute wait, but honestly, that just gave us more time to catch up. The interior strikes a lovely balance -- rustic yet modern, cozy yet romantic, and unmistakably Italian in feel. Starters We kicked off with two plates of Calamari Fritti -- classic native calamari, lightly fried and tossed with cherry peppers and a delicate butter sauce. Absolutely delicious; I had to restrain myself from finishing the whole plate. Complimentary garlic bread with olive oil was also served, and I stopped myself at 2-3 slices to save room for the race-fueling carbs to come. For salad, I chose the Insalata Casalinga -- crisp field greens, grape tomatoes, julienne carrots, cucumbers, red onion, and imported olives in a light vinaigrette. Simple, fresh, and highly recommended. The Main Event The real reason I chose Mare E Monti was simple: carb loading. I went with the Pasta con Cozze e Fagioli -- sautéed mussels in a garlic white wine sauce with diced tomatoes and cannellini beans, tossed with linguine. It was everything I'd hoped for: flavorful yet light, satisfying without being heavy. The mussels were tender, the beans added substance, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Others at the table tried the Ravioli di Aragosta (lobster ravioli) on my recommendation. I snagged a bite -- and it was heavenly. Rich, delicate, and beautifully balanced. Final Thoughts Dinner here was the perfect pre-race meal -- nourishing without weighing me down. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service attentive, and the food consistently excellent. Even parking was simple; I found easy street parking just around the corner (though valet is also available). Oh, and the next morning? I ran a personal best in my half marathon -- just over 1 hour and 20 minutes. I'd like to think the perfect plate of pasta helped fuel that finish. All in all, Mare E Monti is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine and standout seafood pasta in the Worcester area. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in Massachusetts. First off, the nicest and most genuine owner/chef/operator/family I have met in decades. Service and food is exceptional. You would think you were sitting in a small family run place in Puglia. The food here is outstanding. Flavors and dishes you only get from Amalfi and south of Naples. Seafood is as fresh as it gets. Wine list is extensive with heavy hitters from multiple regions. I got a white and a red recommended by Vincenzo. Both were fantastic! My new favorite place. FYI - the Tiramisu is beyond words!

Placed our order and everything was timed just right. We started with an arancini special and I had pillow rustico and my husband ordered the halibut special, both very delicious. We ordered one chocolate mousse to share and to say it was decadent is an understatement! Everyone was very attentive and Chef brought champagne to the table when he found out it was a birthday dinner! The house was packed and everyone around us seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their food and drinks!would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant and will definitely go back again.

Locked in at the bar and it took me a minute to figure out what I wanted to eat but ultimately decided to go with penne meatballs and a cup of the Soup. Everything is homemade so when the soup came out and looked at me in the face I knew it was going to be absolutely delicious, and it was. Almost through pepper in it but didn't need it. Didn't even want crackers either. I spooned every last drop I could get of broth. The penne with meatballs came out hot! A very full bowl definitely pushed me to being full. Meatballs fell apart and or spot on with taste. For dessert I went with the pistachio cake, OMG! The only place I can compare this to that's equally delicious is tease bar and pizzeria in Stanford Connecticut. Every bite was flavorful. I enjoyed the place so much I decided to get a gift card for my grandparents for being awesome grandparents. A place for a date night.

Salad was fresh and crisp with a light balsamic vinegar and olive dressing. Bread was good and a side plate for oil, balsamic vinegar and Parmesan cheese. The pasta was covered with a delightfully light sauce that brought back memories of yesterday with a true Sunday meal. Meatballs were soft and flavor full, sauce was sweet and exploded with flavor as I chewed, pork ribs were nice, soft and the bricole was the star of the show. It broke apart removing it from the family style bowl. $30 each and it was amazing. Family owned and operated, nicely decorated, delightful little place. The waitresses were mother, daughter and had a great personality. We finished up with coffee and split a slice of carrot cake which was very good. Clean, comfortable and delicious. Highly recommend.
