Our project took over ten months for curtains and shades, costing over $20k, and still isn't really right in the focal point of our home, the great room. There was never even a basic sketch presented for all that material and labor. The communication was lacking, having to chase the owner at every turn, every promised then missed deadline. Offering zero design assistance or knowledge in what's supposed to be a full time profession. Lousy experience, mixed results. Some solutions were offered, only because we held back payment but this could have been done right the first time and in a reasonable amount of time with just an ounce of care or concern for the project. Don't recommend.

The reviews he'd received convinced us to try him. He was at our house within one or two days and made the repair on the vertical room divider on the spot. In addition, we then asked him to look at a vertical blinds/drapery combination that was only minimally working. He had it repaired within minutes! A year ago one of the bigger companies had looked at the same unit and said it could be fixed, but the two men they sent out to fix it said it couldn't be repaired, that the broken part was no longer available. As we recall, they charged us about $200 for a service call. Replacement of the entire unit was recommended, but we declined. We're so glad we found Shane! UPDATE--almost seven years later. The mechanism on a different set of drapes broke, and this time our first call was to Shane and Dunn Right Blinds. Once again, the response and repair occurred within hours. We couldn't be more pleased.

Recently one of my 17 year old Somfy motors that control my motorized shades died. My electrician…read morerecommended Dunn Right Blinds because they are familiar with my home automation system, and he has clients who had used them in the past. Dunn returned my call the same day and gave me a very fair quote. Within two days they replaced the defective motors (not easy because of the custom housing they were in). Thankfully they were able to use the existing shades and now everything is as good as new. I suspect I will eventually replace the rest of my motorized shades and I will definitely call Dunn.

He measured carefully and the meeting left me with the confidence that installation would go well. On installation day, Thomas and Vincente arrived right on time, and worked so quickly and efficiently that I was actually surprised when they said they were done. They were friendly and personable, were very careful in their work and cleaned up thoroughly when it was finished. They also hauled away the old window shades for me. My new shades look fantastic, are a perfect fit, keep the house cooler and, thanks to some time spent with me, I can operate them quickly and easily. Finally, their prices compared very favorably with other vendors, even though they were providing an additional window shade. It's a great convenience to be able to open them in the morning and close them with the push of a single button to provide a very dark sleeping environment at night. They also keep the house much cooler during the heat of the day, which will help lower my electric bill. From start to finish, this was a great customer experience, and I highly recommend them!

We live in the northern end of Cathedral City which can be very windy. We wanted a sturdy product that would hold up to our ever-changing weather patterns here in the Valley. Our existing aluminum shade structure has a slanted roof. In order to accommodate Dropshades, we had our landscape contractor add a new support post & cross beam. When your first meet with a Dropshades representative for an estimate, he will evaluate if your patio structure is level enough to accommodate the shades. The shades "glide" up and down a track when they are being opened or retracted. Be aware that windy conditions above 10 MPH can affect the operation of the shades. We always check that the shades stay in the tracks as they are retracted so that the fabric does not fold in on itself. Never leave the shades down overnight or in high winds. Dropshades include a remote control as viewed in the video. I also paid for an internet hub which lets me operate the shades via a smart phone app. We never considered using any other company than Dropshades. Our contractor highly recommended them. This is not a project that you will want to "cut corners" on. Go with the best, hire Dropshades!
