    a half eaten sandwich

So. Much. Yes. Walking into any mastic deli can be quite... questionable. In fact, we walked into two before stopping here before the beach and immediately had to walk out. While Giacolones was a bit dated and had a couple prehistoric flies buzzing about, we were quickly greeted upon walking in. The women told us about a few things and the meatballs that were just freshly made. After pondering for a while I just wanted pastrami, and spicy... so I asked her to make me pastrami on a hero with Swiss, Russian, coleslaw, and cherry peppers; my friend got a basic salad with chicken over the top. Add a big water and an big iced tea, it came to about $27-$28 Before I talk about the food, I was a little upset I spent this much on a sandwich and side salad, that's sorta absurd to be honest. Then again, the drinks and tax add up quick, three bux less and I wouldn't even think to mention the price. Moving on, the salad was super fresh, lettuce and cucumbers were crisp, grilled chicken was somehow divinely tender, red onion was fresh, and they gave a nice huge side of blue cheese which was needed for dressing junkies like us. The hero... whoa, I kno it's just a hero and sliced pastrami, but somehow this pastrami was just out of this world tasty, I'm sure it's just your normal awesome board head sliced and tacked onto a sandwich but this sandwich wasn't normal or ordinary in flavor, it was extraordinary. It was perfect and it was sad when I finished gobbling it all up. I immediately knew I'd be making this deli a stop on the way to the beach in a pinch. They are friendly and make a lot of things fresh in-house. They charge two bux too much for everything but it's definitely easy to look past when served with a smile and tastes great.

The food is really good and the prices are cheaper than the other local delis. I go here often for breakfast sandwiches, coffee and lunch. Always fresh & yummy. Service is ok. Friendly but not as fast as other delis. I don't mind waiting a little for good quality sandwich that's not going to cost me $15 like other places. It's worth stopping in. I usually call ahead

It's the perfect blend of a traditional Long Island Deli and a Bagel shop. Longer story: I recently moved further east from Huntington into the local area and have been disappointed with the quality of food options around here (or lack thereof), especially when it came to bagels. So much so that each weekend for our morning bagel routine I would try a new bagel spot on yelp. 10-15 bagel spots in and there was nothing that really drew me in. I was hopeful when I saw bagel boss was opening a location in yaphank, but I tried it twice and both times were terrible. It was expensive, rather lackluster food quality, and they got my orders wrong both times whether ordering in person or on the app. I finally came across this place on yelp, which markets mainly as a deli (doesn't even come up on Apple Maps when you search for bagels), but saw another review that highlighted their bagel options. So tried it out. We finally found our morning bagel spot! There's not a huge selection or variety of bagels unless you get there early, but they're all fresh and delicious and they have all the staples. Their deli sandwiches are also amazing, very generous portions for the price and again, everything is fresh and tastes great. Will definitely be coming back regularly to this spot. Don't let the looks outside deceive you, it's a great place!
