I went here because I was gifted a gift card during the holidays. I would have never came unless I had an opportunity to go, being that I worked close to the area.
When coming into the establishment, the place seems chill, reminds me of a coffee shop but with pizza and had nice r&b playing in the background. It was very busy with customers waiting in line and with workers at each section, however in most of the sections they were just standing around.
The rules are chalked onto a wall where they say you can go to any of the sections and place your order, however that was not the case. I was waiting to order pizza but overheard the workers telling the other customers that they have to place an order either through the kiosk or go to the main coffee line to place their whole order for anything in the shop. So I tried the kiosk, which was very straightforward. However, it did not have an option to pay with my gift card so I ended up having to get into line anyways. After waiting in a line with several other people who also seemed confused about the service of this restaurant, I was asked for my order. The attendant at the register was not very pleasant. I had place an order for some pizza however there was no actual menu in front of me because the line that we had to place an order at is the coffee line and only shows the coffee options. So when ordering my pizza I was confronted that I didn't know what pizzas they had available. I heard the frustration in the workers voice and I just agreed to take what he offered. I expressed that the kiosk didn't have an option to pay with the gift card and the attendant didn't care. He just shrugged and continued on. I eventually order 2 slices of mushroom pizza and 2 slices of white pizza with spinach ricotta. Each slice is about 3.40. The pizzas were already made and sitting on the counter. However once the order was place they would put it into the oven to reheat and crisp up again. I waited for about 7 mins or so for my order because there were a lot of other customers waiting. I eventually got my order, served on paper plates which makes sense if you are going to take lunch to go. They place wax paper over the pizza so it doesn't stick to the paper bag if you put it in there. The counter with the Parmesan cheese and red pepper flake shakers was messy and untidy. The mushroom pizza was good however most of the cheese and mushrooms got stuck on the wax paper. Pulling it off was unpleasant. The spinach ricotta pizza was good, but the ricotta cheese was very heavy and thick, leaving an overwhelming aftertaste.
Overall, I would not go again. The atmosphere was not very friendly and a bit unorganized. Options were slim and overpriced. I originally wanted to try the curry chicken salad panini but for 12.00 I felt pizza was a better option. I had asked about the container of curry chicken salad and they pointed out that it was a small soup container which cost about 8.00. If you do go, just go for the pizza. But probably just order from the kiosk because you actually have a menu you can see and not have to go back and forth to see what you want from each section. read more
