I am not actually sure anyone wants to hear from me, since I came for the food and not the beer. My friends said the beer was good! But none of us are beer connoisseurs... I DO consider myself an onion ring and French fry connoisseur, and these fries and rings were awesome. My friend had the pretzels with beer cheese and those were yummy and chewy. Other friend had fish and chips, yum. Staff were nice, attentive... the only kind of weird thing... you order everything online and they bring it to you. Maybe I'm showing my age, I got the hang of it, but at first I was like, really?? But they were so responsive once you ordered, it ended up being a non issue. Change scary! I initially was really excited to try Ghostfish Brewing Co. as a celiac. I however was a little disheartened by the food. It was cooked well, but lacked a lot of flavor, specifically salt and pepper in the batter. It tasted as though the food was just coated in batter without any seasoning. I had pretty high expectations and was let down. My husband and I also got dessert to go and the pumpkin cheesecake was wonderful, but our other dessert the apple buddy cake was very yucky. It was easier to ask questions in the "before times" but the staff is still available and knowledgeable - - they can help you navigate what's safe for you, and they know not only the ingredients but the kitchen processes. I'll start by saying everyone has bad days and sometimes things are out of your control, but I'm going to give my honest opinion! My partner has celiac disease and we've been wanting to try this place forever, finally got the chance to. When we got there, a sign said their delivery got messed up so they had no CO2 aka no draft beers. But, they had cans in the fridge that you could choose from and have them pour for you, so we said okay no worries things happen and at least they have the cans. However, the cans weren't cold. We grabbed from the back for the ones that were the coldest, but they still weren't very cold at all. Pretty big bummer but oh well. For food we decided on the crispy chicken sandwich and the Mac and cheese. They were out of crispy chicken. So, we got the pulled chicken sandwich instead. It was pretty good, had nice flavor. The truffle fries it came with were room temperature, not warm at all. The Mac and cheese was okay but very basic, the cheese is like a sauce and just wasn't the best. At Ghostfish Brewing Company -- Been wanting to come here for way too long and oh how I wish I would have come sooner! I was 100% not expecting this to be the best brew food I've ever had, especially considering they're 100% GF. Those of you who know me well know my habit of approaching every new-to-me restaurant with the mentality that it may be the only time I visit, so trying 'all the things' is vital. Today was no exception and they had soo many things to try, I barely scratched the surface of delectables that peaked my interest. Prior to this visit I had only tried 2 Ghostfish brews and their Grapefruit IPA is perpetually on my grocery list. Today I tried more than 1/2 their lineup and to my absolute delight there were sooo many other brews that delighted my tastebuds and will be added to the rotation (see list and tasting notes on the last pic). Brews aside (but let me stress...they are sooo good!), the food completely blew my mind! Y'all...I was unprepared for how good their food is! Ho-Lee Shite! Phenom! Best onion rings I've ever had. Beer battered, light, puffy, crispy, fucking smack! And the spicy aioli was fire! Must try, for real. Next was the beer cheese mac & cheese w/bacon. Now, I make a mean mac & cheese and I've yet to taste a GF version that rivals my own. This was hella close and I would a million% order it again. Damn! Now I need to figure out how to make beer cheese! Fish & chips w/truffle fries came next and by now my expectations were high. They did not disappoint! The best fish & chips I've ever had were in Dublin and these def gave them a run for the money. Totally different, the batter on these was puffy, but not too thick, flavorful w/o the tarter, but def enhanced with, fish was perfectly cooked and flaky, and the serving size was impressive. Highly recommend! Truffle fries were good as was the slaw, but not the highlight (as they shouldn't be). What really impressed me was that the batter on the onion rings was completely different than the batter on the fish and chips. They could totally have taken the easy (and likely less expensive route) and used one batter for all the things, but their dedication to taste, texture, and purpose was totally evident and the decision totes pays off for the diner. Last, but def not least on this marathon was the Tres Leches cake. Friends...when I say I almost cried, I'm not lying. So fucking good!!! Like most (but not all) of their desserts, this came from Miss Sweets NYC Bakery in Tukwila and I will 100% seek them out going forward. Damn! Server Joe was THE best!!! Will be back! read more

This place was great! My parents and I were meeting my Aunt and her partner for dinner after a long day. My Aunt has an egg allergy, and my Dad has Celiac disease, so our options were pretty slim. I found this spot, and we were able to meet up there and, despite the place being quite busy, we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. My Dad can be kind of a jerk about his Gluten allergy, and he's also super forgetful about wearing his mask when he should. And I just want to appreciate the staff at this brewery for putting up with him!! The food was great (super hot and fresh!), and the drinks were lovely. My Mom is usually a kale-hater, but she said the kale-based house salad was "surprisingly good!" Being a completely Gluten-free establishment, they were familiar with food allergies. And they were able to help my Aunt find something she could eat. My dad was extremely pleased with his fish and chips. My spicy chicken sandwich was super crispy and delectable! Upon planning our trip to Seattle I have been eyeing this brewery and restaurant. And let's just say it did not disappoint. Everything was excellent. The service to the brews to the food! My husband and I sat at the counter and enjoyed our time there immensely. We got a flight to try multiples to decide what we liked. And wow! Every single beer was delicious! We also got some pretzels bites and chose the vegan option, crispy chicken sandwich and truffle fries. The crispy chicken sandwich has no dairy in the batter, and the garlic parm truffle fries to be vegan they just remove the parm and they are still delicious! I didn't want to leave, but I also couldn't drink or eat anymore as my belly was full to the brim. I've been here a few times now and they have pretty consistently good food, beer, and service. They have good COVID protocols that they adhere too and their staff seem pretty happy to be around. I can only assume that means they are being treated well. I love their fish tacos (tastes pretty fresh and the flavors are spot on) and their parm truffle fries... This is the best gluten free beer my boyfriend and I have ever had. Every time we're in Seattle, we have to come here and try their seasonal beers. What I love about this brewery is that it's a 100% dedicated gluten free facility, so we don't have to worry about which food items we can eat or not. Their beers are also really good; they always have a good assortment of flavors. When we came yesterday, we got their March with Pride and the Watchstander Stout. Both were fantastic--the March with Pride tasted like their Grapefruit IPA but lighter and crisper, and the stout was surprisingly smooth with hints of chocolate and coffee. We ended up taking some Peak Buster home after one of the servers let us try the Peak Buster and Kai Dog (which is honestly the ONLY beer from them I haven't liked), and the Peak Buster Double IPA was really good. Their fries are always the way to go for us, but we tried the fried jalapeños and they were so good, just a little spicy! We will definitely be coming back here time and time again. This is rapidly becoming my favorite lunch spot. Have yet to have a poor experience. As a person who needs to avoid gluten, it's so nice to know everything on the menu is safe for me. All I can say is, nothing short of AMZING! Being gluten free has never been more delicious! Having a visit to Seattle and looking for gluten free options led us to the Ghostfish! A place that boasts dedicated GF food and beer?! Awesome! Point me in the right direction! Our excitement was well earned and our taste buds were delighted! We started with a 4-beer flight to test out what we liked and wanted a pint of. We went with the Blonde Ale for our favorite choice, followed by their Belgian Ale. Both were very crisp, refreshing, medium-light, and perfect for a warm spring evening. We also had their Amber Ale and Stout. The Amber was also really good, mildly bitter and almost citrusy; but the Stout left some to be desired. I love me a good stout, but this one was a wee bit too much on the espresso flavoring my for my taste. As for the food...holy smokes! Both my wife and I went with the fish and chips (substituted fries for taro chips). The fish was a creamy and full flavored rock fish with a scrumptious IPA batter! Having lived in northern IL for 13 years, we've had our fair share of fish fries...and this one takes the cake! Like I said, full of flavor, high quality fish, and plus...not gut ache at the end of the meal! A perfect place! Can't wait to return and try some of the other fare on the menu! I loved it more than my bf did, and he's the gluten free one! The food is pricey, but that's to be expected for gf fare. We paid $18 each for the mac & cheese and fish & chips. You could not tell that any of it was gluten free, straight up. Normally, gluten free fare has a certain density to it that's less appealing. Not the case here. This is the best gluten free pasta and fried stuff I've ever had, by far. I don't know how they work this magic. We also shared a couple of beer flights, and the beer is great, as well. We drove all the way from Oregon to mass purchase our favorite GF beer, and it was totally worth it! Not only do they have delicious GF beer on tap, but they have an amazing GF menu. My boyfriend is celiac and rarely has the opportunity to get fried food. We made up for lost time at Ghostfish. We had the onion rings, fish tacos, and shrimp and fries. Everything was amazing! You would not even know it was gluten free. Hands down, best onion rings I had ever had. We also purchased about $150 in canned beer to take home...if that tells you anything about the quality of their beer. 10/10, highly recommend Ghostfish. Great food, great beer, great service.
