Service animals not allowed, I am a combat veteran and have never been questioned about my companion. We were met at the door by a guy that come from the kitchen, and stated we needed to leave, reciting a law that only seeing eye dogs or those for a deaf Person are only allowed. I LOVE GGS BBQ their food is AMAZING,i got the brisket plate and let me tell you that is some of THE BEST brisket ive ever had and for my sides i got mac n cheese and their mac n cheese is simple but filling and REALLY good.And they probably have the best sweet potato fries ive ever had. The meat was pretty good but the bbq sause was so hot. Even the mild was not edible. That, to me, is just as important. So it was a bust for me. They charge extra for pickles and don't have fresh onion either. I guess I'm spoiled by the restaurant near my home, in Nebraska. I did enjoy the peacan bar and the homemade potato chips. I don't expect bbq perfection in Colorado compared to Texas or the south. The food was good, not great. Had brisket and sausage, both were on the dry side. The brisket was pretty bland and could have used more rub before smoking to impart better flavor to the meat. I wanted more barbecue sauce, and that immediately created a tense atmosphere, and it ended with him shouting at me about me not being allowed back, wagging his finger in my face, which was humoroous, as he is a nugget of a man, barely standing at 5' tall. I was polite, didn't raise my voice just simply asked for a refund. he argued and got heated. He rather argue and raise his voice in a pack restaurant than admit his service wasn't great. The owner is something else. Ordered for take out took 45mins to get it and they asked me what sauce I wanted and they gave 1oz of sauce for my meal and if I wanted more I would have to pay. So I went over to a table and grabbed a sauce bottle and put some on my meal and that's when the owner approached me and told me that they give me enough sauce for my meal and I could pay if I wanted more. Which makes no sense if I were to dine in I would have limitless sauce. I loved GG's! Wonderfully smokey and flavorful pulled pork, creamy mac 'n cheese and good baked beans. Generous portions. I also was a fan of all their sauces (faves are 1- Spicy 2- Carolina Mustard 3- Original). Counter service, but they brought out our food and were very friendly. One thing to know is it actually sits off a frontage road (off Hwy 50) so you will need to turn Morris or Club Manor (depending which direction you are coming in from) to get to that street and GG's - GPS seems to get confused. I really Like GGs baby back ribs and there sides are great. I eat here pretty often. Be warned though, they are VERY stingy about the sauce when you order to go, even though they have it in ample supply when you eat in the restaurant. I was pretty frustrated to find that i got three tiny sauces for two people to share for two rib plates. When I asked for more they said that was all they give and you could buy more for $.39. They said they do 1 oz per meal. Thy offer four sauces from what I recall but at 1 per you can only try one. I had asked about sauce when I ordered and said I wanted all of the sauces and they didnt mention the extra charge. I had already paid when I found all this out and really didnt feel like going back and forth again to buy more sauce. I was pretty surprise really because it was so different than when I eat end. We then waited the remainder of her lunch hour for the food to arrive. She had to leave in order to make it back to work on time. The food arrived about 5 minutes later. The waitress asked me what I wanted to do with her food and I told her she can keep it and just throw it away please. Leftovers are rarely eaten at our house. About 2 minutes later the owner came out and confronted me about why I wanted them to throw the food away. I told him because we had waited for so long and my wife had to leave. He interrupted me and said you didn't wait that long, I'm not going to throw away the food. He placed the food on the table in front of me and said you can throw it away. I told him please don't take this personal. He told me I am going to take this personal as this is my creation and you are telling me to just throw my stuff away. He then scolded me for plugging in my laptop and using his electricity without asking permission. I kindly walked away as he would not stop yelling at me. I will not be back to this establishment. Our GPS tried to lead us astray when finding GG's but I'm glad we figured it out. Service was good (it's counter service, but they come check on you). I'm left wondering why GG's is in business. I was completely floored by the ways in which the owner (or manager?) treated his employees. The harassment, public humiliation and blatant disrespect for these employees was absolutely horrifying. How could someone so publicly ridicule and berate their employees while others stand around and watch? Being that this person was clearly in charge, I had no idea who to report this to. If i try to place a large order at other places they make the large order wait or say they need a certain amount of time as a heads up. The mixed green salad with sausage, crumbled blue cheese, bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and there own balsamic vinegar reduction dressing is wonderful. They also have a great selection of deserts, the carrot cake is moist and flavorfull. I can't say enough about the people at GG's.
