Please do the people of Colorado a favor and do not advertise burnt ends. The "burnt ends" were closer to beef jerky than actual burnt ends. True burnt ends come from the point muscle not the flat of the brisket. They are supposed to melt in your mouth like butter. When I tried dickeys burnt ends it was tough, shredded brisket from the flat muscle. Reach out if you want some helpful tips to achieve true burnt ends. Service was great! I just paid $37 for two tiny meals, and they didn't include the sides. I called to complain, but no one would answer. Disappointing

A tablespoon full of pork and few pieces of sausage and a clump of fried okra. The pork was dry the okra was all stuck together. We never received the cup of chilie. The online receipt was $54.78 and the tab on the bag was $35.35. I do realize there was a tip to be included. Never, never again would I use this place again. Not very impressed with the chicken sandwich. The meat was okay but no pickles or onions as described on the website - and there was barely any BBQ sauce on it. Our first visit to Dickey's left an unpleasant tastes in our mouths... There was no problem with the wait to take our order on a day that didn't seem particularly busy as we needed the time to study the menu and place our order. Once the order was taken, we waited at the counter to be rung up and were subjected to three employees--two "front-of-the-house" and one manager (?)--arguing with one another, all the while we waited. Once our order was delivered we found the food to be pretty substandard, with the ribs being undercooked (tough and chewy) and the beef brisket being overcooked (stringy and VERY dry). So put off by this, we didn't even notice until we were nearly done that they never delivered our two orders of fries (at which point, we didn't bother even saying anything). All in all, if you want decent BBQ in Pueblo, there are a number of better offerings in town. read more

This place has gone way downhill. The food is passable which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. They were out of basically everything and the restaurant is filled with tons of flies and bugs which is really unsettling for a customer. This place used to always have really high quality and it seems the care has left. I've been a regular for a few years now but I don't know what's happened. 3 stars because the food was actually pretty good. We ordered the pork rib plate with fries and okra. Ribs were cooked perfectly, and the okra was delicious. I don't think we ever got our fries. We also ordered the chicken nuggets kids meals for the kids, and they seemed to love it. The bad was the service. They didnt seem to have that many customers, but when I walked up to the counter I had to wait a bit before even having my order taken. The employee who helped me was busy putting an order together, but another employee was just standing there the entire time, and I wondered why she didnt offer to take my order. Whatever. While I was waiting I got to hear the employee not only complain about how done they were with the day, but then proceed to argue with another employee(the shift manager?)about their break. Didnt take too long for the food. The dining room could have been cleaner. It felt grimy. Service just seemed totally disorganized and unprofessional, and honestly kind of ruined the experience for me. We probably won't return to this location. read more

By far the worst BBQ I have ever had!!! The "sliced brisket" was just inedible cubes of fat, The Turkey was pink and obviously undercooked, the jalapeño sausage was dry and burnt. I also ordered 2 orders of fries, they didn't tell me the fryer was broken just gave me any sides they wanted. If I wouldn't have checked the food, they would have been perfectly ok with passing this "Dogmeat" off as edible food. I went in to ask for my money back and I was treated like a criminal. I asked them if they would eat that and it was crickets. One girl asked me what was the issue, I said everything and when I said the Turkey was undercooked. She said it probed the right temp!! Kids eat free on Sunday, dine in only. (yay!) Really good barbeque; especially considering it is sort of a fast-food version of barbeque. Is there better BBQ in other places - yes. But Dickey's is among the best in Greeley, and certainly fast service. I've eaten their food many times, and I have not experienced any of the unpleasant things listed by other reviewers -- maybe I've been fortunate, but I like it, and I'm willing to drive across town - past other BBQ restaurants - for theirs. I got Dickey's delivered through GrubHub just a little bit ago. I got a baker with meat and it was really delicious. Definitely worth the $8 I paid for it. Only thing I'd change is I wish they chopped the meat up like Rudy's does but it was tasty, filling, and got here quick and warm. I'd definitely recommend their bakers. read more

This is absolutely THE most regretful $45 I've spent in town, on food, in the past 9 years of living here. I knew better, but bought 3 sandwiches last night to feed myself and two friends who were helping around the house, a block away from Dickey's. I don't know how these guys even stay in business. 3 sandwiches, 3 fountain drinks, $45. No chips. No coleslaw. No lube. A pinch of shredded beef, a pinch of cheddar and a pinch of raw onion on a decent roll. The little solo cup of sauce was even short of what it would take to make a "bbq sandwich" of this INSULT I spent $45 on. I'll spend $100 on three steaks before I'd give Dickeys $1 of my money in the future. Dont waste your money. You'll go to bed hungry like we all did. I was surprise and sad that I ordered from here online. I ordered some sides, I usually like the sides better than the meat. online I noticed that the sides were $3.99 each, which was a little high I thought. when I got there I noticed that the sides were only $3.50. this seems wrong somehow to me and I will never order online from them again. they apparently have changed ownership so maybe they will fix that. I also paid for BBQ sauce and didn't receive it. I had not been back there for a while since before when I would order they didn't have most of the items I would try to order. there are now so many other BBQ places not, even though at one time, before COVID I liked this place. so disappointed. read more

Man oh man. The girl in the red jacket appeared stoned or something. No one came over the speaker after 10min of waiting. Drove up to the window all 3 employees just looked at us. Figured they may be closing up. Waited for a while. Stoned girl comes to the window. Took roughly another 10 min to get the order because she didn't know how to use the automated pad. It's fast food BBQ (where it's traditional BBQ - slow cooked). The service is great and fast, as a walk-in or via the drive thru. They offer several choices of meat and side items. I think if I ever go on a last minute picnic, this would be a better choice of food then KFC. Overall the meat I choose (shredded pork and sausage) was cooked perfectly and the BBQ sauce (spicy style) was tangy and a little spicy but not hot. I do wish for a boat load more of meat. read more

In the series House of Cards, Kevin Spacey (Frank) has a little rib place he goes every time he want little privacy. Well, needless to say, I wanted something like that and I guess I found one. DIckey's is liltte pricey but you will be surprised by seeing their portion size and amount of meat on their ribs. I love the place. I had the rib plate with two sides ( Creamy Coleslaw & Baked Potato Casserole) for about $13 which I think is decent. I will not miss another chance to go there. Yum read more

Went into the Dickeys in Greeley on 23rd about a week ago and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and engaged and the food was actually good. Furthermore, the manager (or GM I can't remember exactly) came to our table and checked on us. Great experience and I will certainly return. Really rude and bad employees. They complained about their manager while we were sitting nearby, had an attitude about serving us food, left the ice cream station dirty, and, as we were walking out, were extremely rude to an Asian family that came in. The girl with the neck tats has some serious attitude problems and was so rude to the family that came in--I got this app just to make a comment about it. Also, the meat was dry and the ribs weren't cooked properly-- they were rubbery. Just an overall terrible experience. I won't go to that Dickies again. I'll drive across town for the other one where the employees are nicer/hospitable, the food is fresher, and the restaurant is cleaner. read more

Dickies is new in Greeley. The first few days of business showed more customers than the previous two business start-ups in that location. The menu is short and sweet (and savory :D ). The prices are on the lower end. The bun size was too small. The meat might have been better seasoned or longer marinated. But overall, it was worth the money. It was a pleasant experience. The owner and manager were approachable, friendly, and well organized. I probably shouldn't tell you this, but the ice cream was free. I wonder how long that will last. So are the pickles. We will go again. And if we want to go sometime, but are pressed for time, or want to spend some time together at home, we'll try their take-out. (No, I do not know when it opened. I am sorry this site put a date in automatically. It's wrong.) 6/29/13 We went to Dickey's a few days ago. The flavor seems to have dipped a bit. Maybe it was my imagination. I've gone to Dickey's in Texas, Fort Collins, and Greeley on 10th and will go back every chance I get. I love the food (love the brisket sandwich) and the staff is always friendly. The Dickey's on 23rd however was a disappointment. The staff was great, however, the sandwich was something to be desired. It was tough, fatty, and didn't have much taste. It was close to closing, so I don't know if it was the remnants of the day. I thought I would sweeten up the disappointing sandwich with an ice cream cone, but that wasn't working either. Needless to say, this Dickey's is off my list for a return trip. I don't mind paying the higher price for a good BBQ sandwich if the sandwich is good. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. This review is based on my most recent experience. On December 7, I ordered $100 worth of meat online for our family Christmas dinner to be held on December 18. My card was charged and I received an email confirmation. Upon arrival at the Greeley 23rd Ave location we were told they didn't know anything about an order. After giving them the confirmation #, they could not find an order. They then asked for a list of what we ordered. They then told us they didn't have enough meat although some was cooking but wouldn't be done for a while. We asked about the 10th St location which they called to see if they had that much meat. (They didn't know anything about the order either). We then drove across town and waited for them to put it together. (The rest of the dinner we made had now been sitting at home for an hour.) All of the employees were apologetic and no doubt embarrassed. I feel the responsibility of this mistake rests with the MANAGEMENT. Surely, in 11 days, you check your online orders, order enough additional food for the day, make sure it is cooked in time for pick up AND inform your employees that there is an order expected that day. This is just a warning: DO NOT ORDER ONLINE AND EXPECT THAT MANAGEMENT WILL PAY ANY ATTENTION TO IT. Luckily, Greeley is getting another BBQ place soon. We've had it in Longmont and it's really good!! read more

Finely smoke barbecue foods. Brisket was lean and still very juicy. Was very surprised on the amount of meat on the ribs. Prices were comparable to the BBQ around the area. Three different sauces to choose from....kids tend to like the sweet, but I suggest the original. Nice and clean restaurant. After living in Arlington TX this used to be one of my favorite Chain BBQ restaurants, along with Colter's. Anyway the service is great and everything they serve is good.
