Sadly the service doesn't reflect its beautiful location. Asked hostess to be seated at the patio with our dog and instructed to seat ourselves anywhere. After that it was 25 minutes before we were acknowledged to order anything. Drinks came out 10 minutes later and food an additional 10 minutes. Ordered the chicken sandwich and it was over cooked and dry, the fries were soft and oil logged. Total time for 2 people to have a drink each and food was 50 minutes. read more

The location is great, as is the service. Sitting under an umbrella on the 'river' is divine, but the menu is just plain odd. The waffles are thick, stodgy and cake like- not crispy and light as they should be. I had chicken and waffles, with everything separate rather than as a sandwich per the menu; and the fried chicken was Costco chicken tenders lots of breading and pretty dry, I didn't eat the waffle after one bite, but the maple syrup helped the chicken go down. The onion rings were fresh, but greasy. The handmade tortilla chips and salsa and queso were good, but some of the chips were chewy. My husband ordered the slopper burger; which had delicious pork green chile with it and he loved his margarita. We had a nice time- the service was excellent. read more

Made reservations for Galentines Day and walked away disappointed. The only available items were the Galentines Brunch Boards, but this was not advertised. The board consisted of 3 super thin cold pancakes, 2 pieces of candied bacon, a handful of yogurt covered pretzels, two mini Walmart cupcakes, a cookie, a snowball cake, a mini donut, a donut hole, some sliced strawberries and some scattered M&Ms. A plate full of sugar for $25 a person was a bit shocking to say the least. My friend commented that it was what you would expect from an 8 year old who prepped breakfast for Mom on Mother's Day. That sentiment was also shared by the table next to us. We told our table neighbors that we were heading next door to Angelo's for some real food and they asked if we would bring them back something. While idea was cute in theory, it was poorly executed. They should have offered a menu of regular brunch food for those of us that didn't want to walk out with diabetes or for those with dietary restrictions. read more

Bartender playing videos on phone at full volume while he wondered around doing nothing. Highly unprofessional. Get some ear buds or go to the back my guy. Based on this alone I did not plan to return for a third time. But then the philly was way under filled with much of the meat being fat that should have been trimmed. The queso was runny and the guacamole was full of huge chunks of avacado. The wrap was ok but also could have been atuffed fuller. Soggy sad fries to top it off. Three stars is generous. read more

Horrible experience. This was the worst dining experience we've had in a long time. There were several drinks unavailable ranging from orange juice to carbonated beverages. We ordered breakfast from the menus provided, only to be told 30 minutes later that breakfast was no longer available. After that, it took another hour for the lunch we ordered to arrive. During this time, our drinks were never refilled. The restrooms were dirty and had no soap. That might not have been a major issue, but one of the waitstaff came out just as we were going in. When I mentioned it to the manager, she said the restrooms were not their responsibility and that the employees probably wash their hands in the back. Two meals were eventually brought out, but we were then told the third meal had been messed up and would have to be remade. At that point we told them we just wanted to leave. The staff was polite, but the manager was extremely defensive and seemed to imply the situation was somehow our fault. Overall, a very disappointing experience--we will not be returning. read more

Right away I wish I would've left, but we stayed because the server was sweet. figured food would be fine enough and in/out, since she was quick. on a Sunday they only had these group brunch/mimosa package, 2 entree options, or like 4 side options. we didn't want a boozy brunch & Im vegetarian; so the only option was a side of eggs. my husband got their stuffed waffle. eggs tasted like hotel plain eggs. Husbands waffle was meh and didn't arrive with the jelly he ordered. They don't offer any NA drinks I guess? No coffee. They don't have any fans or air circulation outside so the heat in alignment with waiting ages really got uncomfortable. I'd like to say at least the server was good, but even that ended weird. We paid in advance because we were waiting so long & wanted to leave quickly whenever we got our food (we would have just left without the food but the server said she would have to pay for the food if we did). once we paid she never checked on the table again (which like the meal was missing the jam component) and I saw her smoking out front. I don't blame her for that, but maybe management can tell the Staff to smoke behind the business.. One positive- the view of the river is cute! and they give dogs water bowls. Maybe they offer different menus on meals outside of Sunday morning. Either way It's a no for me- wont be back. read more

I went in the afternoon on a Thursday, so it wasn't very busy. I took a seat at the bar and was helped under 5 minutes. The place was quiet at the time I walked in except the music in the kitchen, but I liked how the establishment looked, and the River Walk just outside the doors and patio. I can't remember the name of the drink I ordered, it had turtle in the name, but it was delicious and I got it quick. I also ordered the Green Chile Cheeseburger, and other than being a little messy to eat, it was also good. I was a little bummed that they didn't have the fried pickles I wanted, but the chips and salsa wasn't a bad substitute. All in all, I enjoyed it, and will probably be back at some point. read more

On this "hot" summer day, this place finally gets 5 Stars! I had a regular hamburger with all the fix ins'. The beef patty was cooked to perfection; well seared on both sides and bigger than the bun. The bun was very fresh and this burger was the best I've had in a long while. FRESH from the start on everything! Yum! The fries that came with were fresh as well and very crisp! It was awful!!! The music was so loud the guy was yelling in the microphone. The guy singing was also paying really provocative songs while kids were present and just in general. It was so loud you had to yell to talk to the person next to you. Our waiter didn't put our second round of drinks in till an hour and a half after. We then asked again after the hour and a half went by with constant reassurance that "it was coming." then we got our food the chicken on the south west salad was as hard as a rock and the Philly was cold and the Philly didn't come till 20 minutes after the other food got to the table. But we were so hungry we tried to push through it. Then asked about our drinks again and he the waiter said "he hadn't put them in yet!" Like are you joking?! Thank god the manager was nice and understood our frustration. I had only seen our waiter out by the tables 3 times the whole time we were there. One of the times we tried to get his attention he completely ignored us. There was an older woman who tented to her tables the whole time should have asked for her to switch us to her section. Then I asked our waiter for silverware we got dirty silverware as well. The manager deserves 5 starts for being so honest and understanding. No, sorry to say but it was not good. Guacamole was yucky and not fresh housemade nor did it come with herbed flour chips, missing green chili, and fresh veg. Poblano queso was obviously Tostitos. Great location and friendly staff, but that's about it. We were seated quickly. Took about 5 minutes for the waitress to then greet us. We had an hour before our show, so we put in our order right away. It took 45 minutes for our food to come, and it was cold. I had ordered a bowl of green chili on the side, they instead brought tomato soup because they were out of chili. How about asking me first what I would like to substitute, if anything? They brought my wife the wrong food altogether. The food itself was very mediocre in taste, except for the fries which were good. They didn't bring any silverware, so we had to ask for a spoon for my soup, and then when they finally brought silverware it was just a knife & fork! So we had to go to the bar to get our own spoon. They brought our check and because we were now running late for our show, I gave my debit card without first looking at the receipt. The waitress left with my debit card, only then did I discover that they had brought the wrong check and it was $20+ more than what we should have been charged. So we had to chase down our waitress to get it corrected, and then it took several minutes before she was finally able to run our card and bring us the receipt for signature. I get that they were busy on a Friday night, but still it was obvious that they poorly organized and not concerned about quality service/food. We were in Pueblo for the day. We stopped in for a late lunch and drinks at 1129 Spirits & Eatery. What a great choice! We each ordered drinks and shared a salad. I cannot say enough good things about everything! The service was amazing (Audra was so knowledgeable and helpfu) the drinks were extraordinary (I ordered a lavender lemon drop and my husband ordered a blackberry old fashioned). Our salad was deliciou. Everything was meticulously crafted and made in house! You will not regret your choice to eat (or drink) at 1129 Spirits & Eatery! I couldn't recommend more! read more

Cute place, great views of the River. No where near enough help. People walking in and no one greeting them, bartender just sort of had to tell people to sit where they wanted. Waited a long time just to give our order. Child (waitress's son) laying across a bench playing a video game, taking up a lot of seating then his sister came and fought with him. Then they were both laying across an entire bench taking up a lot of seating. Both children were barefoot which I'm sure goes against health code. People walking out because they could never even get their order taken. What a shame, desperately needs more help. Food was pretty good. Waitress was very nice. read more

My daughter and two grandsons had gone to Pueblo on Sunday 04/28 to the air museum and decided to take a stroll on the Riverwalk. We decided to stop for a little food and cold drinks. We stopped at 1129 as it wasn't that busy, only two women at the bar and a couple tables outside. I went to freshen up while we were seated, came to our table a few minutes later and we still had not been given menus. We waited a few more minutes before I went to ask for menus. The gentleman said he was coming right out. We should have left. Not impressed with service or food. At one point it seemed the staff appeared to be arguing. The last two times I have been it's been TERRIBLE service :( I see similar comments relating to our issue. I found this place by accident with Groupon and I have been and recommended it numerous times but I will not be moving forward. The last time we were there we were ignored by the server numerous times and this last time did it completely. Brought my ex next door neighbor as Brues was too long of a wait and I happily suggested 1129, wish I hadn't. Got there sat down took quite a while for our server to come over. Ordered drinks and then our food. It took FOREVER to get our food and when it came it was COLD :( The bartender came over initially to ask how everything was and granted we should have said something at that time. We mumbled clearly not happy that it was "ok" and she happily went back to the bar. My boyfriend didn't finish even half of his meal because it was cold... a toddler could have seen that. The waiter came back and we told him that our food was cold but we had waited forever to get our meal that we ate, well myself and my neighbor did as we were starving and all he said was "I will tell the cooks" and then handed us our nearly 53 bill. I was so amazed at the lack of care or concern from the waiter that I decided to stop and tell the bartender. That didn't go well either, as she basically shamed me for not saying anything to her when she came over and I explained I did tell our waiter and it was like who cares here's your bill :) and thank you so much come again. She asked me what I wanted HER to do ?!?!??! Why should I have to tell you anything. That's not my job as the customer. Hands down FING TERRIBLE will not return :( Prices have increased and the size of the burgers this time were the size I would expect a baby to eat. We visited while on vacation and loved the food and the atmosphere! We ate outdoors on their beautiful patio. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Very conscious of social distancing and cleanliness! The portions were huge and flavorful. I had the philly steak sandwich and it was so tasty! The fresh cut fries were hot and perfectly seasoned. We would have enjoyed eating here with our family after the boat ride. Unfortunately, the management seems to think leaving customers guessing about prices adds to the pleasure of dining out. So, servers can just make up prices as they go? Friends and locals get one price, everyone else pays extra? No thanks. Plenty of other nice competing establishments that don't play games. We got up and left. We're business owners ourselves, I doubt we would have lasted 40 years if we "surprised" our customers with the price after services rendered. Go to any of the other restaurants that aren't above printing prices on their menu. This is Pueblo, even the Broadmoor Hotel has prices on their menu. Walking along the River Walk, we came across this restaurant. What a great find! It was a warm ( Winter) day... 78 degrees so opted to sit outside. There is also a very nice indoor seating area that is very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We started off with the chicken empanadas which are served with a guacamole and a lighter creamy dip. Very delicious! For lunch we ordered a classic burger w/ fries, a Blue cheese burger with housemate jalapeño raspberry jam, and a Cobb salad. The burgers are very good and the fries are hand cut homemade and yummy ! They serve local beers and are known for their honey lavender martini which is what I ordered( 2 of them!) Wow!!! I wish it had come in a pint glass! The server was so sweet..... a bee had also liked my martini and I spilled half of it shooing away the bee so they made me a 1/2 martini to replace what I lost! So nice! Was a great afternoon sitting outside enjoying a very good lunch with family. Great place to meet up with friends, co-workers and friendly for kids and dogs. read more

The menu that have on their website is not the menu they are serving. The kid manning the door said it would be half an hour and to "just come back in half an hour" because he was the only one there and he "can't call." We came back half an hour later and someone else seated us. We watched several people walk in and look around confused. There needs to be a central location to check in and possibly a new person on that post. The server was trying but it's really obvious that this place is understaffed. The food was good but the fries just needed to be cooked a little bit longer. My husband had the grilled cheese and soup and really enjoyed it. I had the pineapple chicken wrap and did not like it. I'm giving some grace due to the current staffing shortages many places are facing. The server apologized and said they were also having a staffing shortage, so I am not really taking any stars off for that. However, that being said....our food was not hot when it came out (with the exception of the corn chowder which was really good). My Philly sandwich was quite dry and did not have a lot of flavor or cheese. I would not order that again. My fries where very wobbly and not really cooked all the way. Again...not taking much off since I do understand there are challenges right now. All of this being taken into account, I would possibly go again and order something else. Tried for lunch. Very few things on the menu had prices. Drinks were definitely delicious. Fried pickles was missing homemade mustard aioli. We asked about it, we got a mustard that was clearly from a container. Not homemade. Turkey bacon avocado wrap was missing multiple things. When we asked the server about the missing avocado we saw the server look at the menu for the item. Then he brought avocado in a dish for us to put on. The we noticed very little bacon and no jalapeños ranch. It was definitely dry and just ok. Would be back for drinks and to sit by the river walk. Not for the food. read more
