Gettysburg Eddie's came recommended from a local and we decided to give a shot. Their menu is extensive and there is arguably something for everyone. Our waitress was great, the place is clean, and their "drink menu" on the place mat was a good conversation piece. Their chili cheese fries were good but i was disappointed in their use of process cheese topping rather then real cheese. Mrs. and my entree were very tasty and offered good portions. I was about faint and after passing 2 of "Gettysburg's finest pizza places" we stopped here. It was crowded about lunch time on a Saturday and the hostess asked if we'd mind sitting at a table for two in front, that everyone coming in would lean on and bump into as they were passing by. I politely refused and asked if we could sit at the bar in the back. I liked the decor of of this place and loved the lady at the bar with her purse on one stool and her bags on another. No room at the bar so we sat at a high top. I ordered a Coke my wife got a Shocktop, the bartender (Cute... I can say that because my wife doesn't read my reviews) gave us menu's and I needing food NOW just ordered a med. cheddar burger w/ the pasta salad my wife feeling rushed ordered a veg. portobello thingamabob. If I were a baseball enthusiast, I would love this pub even more. The walls are tastefully decorated in dark wood and baseball memorabilia, and the vibe is a casual welcoming vibe, whether you're a fan of the major league or not. Emily was our server for lunch yesterday and she hit it out of the park. Not only was she friendly and efficient, but she helped me make up my mind while ordering, which is always a feat. Between my husband and I, we devoured the Cali Cheesesteak, S.B.L.T. (classic BLT with blackened salmon), the crab & shrimp bisque, waffle fries and a side salad. Service & atmosphere were great. Food was pretty good. I enjoyed the fried pickles as an appetizer, my meal was typical pub type food, unremarkable. They have an impressive list of mixed drinks on the paper place mats on the table. I tried a Bloody Mary - it was one of the worst I've every had. We had a nice meal. Comfortable atmosphere. They have several dining rooms and we're able to seat us right away (party of 7) with no waiting at 7 pm on a Saturday night. This is a great location right in the middle of town. Watched the Remembrance day parade from the front windows here once years ago when it was the Gman place. Parking isn't the best but that's just due to their location. The portions are generous. read more

WARNING: SUPERSPREADER VENUE. We spent a week in Gettysburg in late September '21 and chose this place for dinner on our last night. There was a line of 6-8 unmasked people waiting elbow to elbow outside at 7:30 pm. I popped in to check on wait times and noticed that no one in the quaint, smallish, stuffy venue had heard there is a global pandemic killing thousands of Americans per day. Unlike every other restaurant we visited in Gettysburg, this place was PACKED to the gills, tables close together, and not a mask in sight - not on the 4 young women staff cuddled at the hostess station, not on any of the wait staff, and not on any customers that I could see. I felt so bad for the employees who might want to protect themselves, but apparently cannot. The place is a CISTERN OF VIRAL CONTAGION. Enjoy your last restaurant meal there -- COVID can kill you in under a week. Every other restaurant we visited in Gettysburg had masked staff, tables spaced far apart, and seating at only half (or less) of the tables -- so much for safety! read more

Great place. I went to Gettysburg for the day by myself and eventually, I got hungry. My server was Jacqueline (Jackie?). She was great and agreed with my hatred for mayonnaise, haha. I got the ham & bean soup and the Italian grinder. That sandwich was insane. I mean, really good. The soup was a little salty, which I love (it was delicious), but if you're watching your sodium intake, I'd recommend avoiding it. This place has a pretty sweet old timey sports bar feel with a focus on baseball. That made me like it even more. Parking is in the back. Definitely happy I stumbled upon Gettysburg Eddie's. When searching for restaurants, we look over the menus to see who offers foods that sound appealing. On this menu, the Pretzel topped with Crab sounded so unique and appealing. It was as delicious as it sounded. Beyond that, we ordered sandwiches - turkey with avocado and shrimp po boy. They were as satisfying as the appetizer. Prices were very moderate. Our waitress was friendly and took time to answer questions we had. This place deserves a visit. read more

Gettysburg Eddies has not disappointed us during any of our visits. It's not always on the top of our list for dining, yet we've always been satisfied with the food quality and service. Food was excellent! We were in the mood for a good juicy burger after being in the car for 3 hours travelling. We found it here. Staff was very pleasant. Atmosphere was nice, small pub. Fried.pickles were crunchy and not too greasy. Had a little kick to them. We both had bacon cheese burgers. Came out with onion though we asked for none but not the end of the world. Roll was soft but not soggy. Burger was tender and juicy. Choices for sides rather than fries. We had Cole slaw. Was very good. Will definitely come again next trip to Gettysburg. read more

My wife and I visited Gettysburg Eddie's twice this weekend, and were served by Tracy both times. She was very gracious and attentive. My wife had the black and blue burger, and I had the crab quesadilla. Both were excellent. On the second visit we came in just for dessert, and had the carrot cake and chocolate chip cake, both were huge portions and very delicious. My brother and I stopped here one night while we were in Gettysburg for a few days this past summer. A little weary of eating inside during the pandemic, we ordered out. We ordered three appetizers for our dinner, which may not have been the most fair judgement of the menu. That being considered, the food was pretty good. We ordered jumbo nachos, mozzarella sticks, and a "crab pretzel", which was a large soft pretzel covered with crab meat and melted cheese. It was an interesting concept, and tasted pretty good. Best wings I think I have ever had! Different from other bars and pub wings, Eddie's wings come extra crispy and dry. They are served with 6 different house made sauces including buffalo, chipotle bbq, mango habanero, and sweet red chili! Never before have I had wings so crisp and delicious. Only really good thing was the wings. Other then that, the French dip was like leather and the seafood pasta was cold and had absolutely no taste. Only good thing was they took it off the bill. Because it was our first trip, I really wanted to give this establishment the benefit of the doubt. So I called same day, in the evening, and spoke with a caring individual to whom I shared my husband and my gastronomical tale of woe. She took my name and phone number and assured me that the manager would give me a call either later that evening or next day. True to her word, I received a call the following day from the manager and we chatted a little bit about what had happened, how we were feeling (MUCH better), and she asked me to keep in touch if I felt any other issues arose from our visit. She thanked me for letting her know of the issues, and addressed the kitchen staff of the issue. She also asked for the opportunity to "make it right" on our next visit and requested that we ask specifically for her or her other manager. That's some pretty good customer service. Get the wings! I've never liked wings in my life, but this place made me change my mind. The service is also excellent. All the staff are happy and friendly, just a great vibe. We loved this place. The service was excellent and setting comfortable. The food was excellent bar style. We ordered off the appetizer menu for the most part. R ordered the French Onion soup which was the second best she had all weekend, I grabbed the chili and some quesadias (I know I probably spelled that wrong, but they were tasty just the same). The place has NTN trivia and a nice alcohol selection. We just felt comfortable here and got a good value for our time and money. Worth the trip, much better than the Dobben's house. I rocked back and forth between giving Gettysburg Eddie's 3 or 4 stars but finallly decided on 4. The place was clean and inviting. There is baseball memorabilia all over and it gives you a very comfortable feel. I was promptly seated and even though it was rather busy my order was taken and filled really good time. That alone impressed me. THE BRITISH BEEF GRIDNER is pretty much the best beef sandwich I've ever tasted. I was beyond impressed. It was good............no...it was amazing!!!!! You MUST eat it!! I also had a crab cake which wasn't bad at all. I had a bacon cheese burger and I think it was over cooked and the bacon was someplace between crunchy and gooey... This place used to be awesome but a month ago we came here and the food was horrible my girlfriends burger was covered in griddle slop and was not good had to send it back 3 times then the waiter made us pay for it. So tonight we were close by and said we would try it again my girlfriends chicken quesadilla was nothing but onions and the chicken didn't even look cooked plus I ordered the French dip and the waitress forgot to bring my aujus out when I asked for it it took her 15 min to bring it out then my sandwich was cold we complained they gave my girlfriend a new quesadilla and me a new sandwich with was after our whole family was already done so made for a bad experience the waitress said she would take them off the bill but ever did when the manager came out she said she can't take them off the bill we demanded they did but she wouldn't and told us never to come back, believe me we won't and neither will any of our friends read more
