Totally lied to me about what was included in the warranties. I am trying to get a refund since the car is new and I haven't used any warranty. If I could give zero stars I would. So I called this dealership about my radiator fluid leaking. I dropped my Serento off and before I could pick it up I was getting calls from the salesmen there telling me service is telling them my car needs a new transmission so it maybe best to trade it in instead. I knew it was time for a trade in as I was in a 2020 however transmission problems when I came in for the radiator is a long stretch. They kept my car overnight and I had to pay for a rental through them for them to not fix the issue I called in for but an out right lie to get me to purchase a new vehicle through them. So while all of this is going on over in services, you have Syndney their salesperson running my credit for a base model Sorento that I never even wanted to look at. By the time all was said and done the manager came out and said due to my transmission issues now my vehicle isn't worth trading in and they could offer me no trade in amount. The man had a full conversation about me voluntarily relinquishing my vehicle back to Kia Finance to drop the car payment I currently had to take on more debt and to purchase another Serento that I don't want. I knew the conversation was unethical, immoral, and illegal in fact they have a signed contact with KMFUSA and if you look that's a clear breach in their contract with them for even having such a conversation. You can't convince someone to voluntarily relinquish a vehicle to gain commission on a new one. Completely unacceptable behavior from them all the way around the board. Unprofessional and immoral. I got my vehicle out of service and took it to the Kia in Venice where I got 10k in trade in value, and NO transmissions issues. I ended up with a 2025 Kia Carnival. If you come to Gettel (Ghetto) Just keep driving past it. I promise you they are horrible. read more

I bought my Kia Soul from here a year and a half ago, and so I brought my wife to get her 2025 KIA Selto. Our experience was even better this time! Rob, the new GM, gave us a deal of a lifetime and worked for 2 hours to make our numbers work for us. I have never gotten such a good deal on a car and couldn't believe the amount of work he put into making this happen. Vinny the sales manager was personable, kind, and hilarious. He was patient with our rigidity on what we wanted and made sure he got it done. And of course Tony from finance, the guy who finalizes the paperwork and makes the 2 hours feel well worth it, made sure everything went smoothly and got us squared away and out of there right at closing time. These guys are the dream team and this was my best car dealership experience in the past 12 years I've been buying cars. I thought everything went smooth until a week later their Finance Manager - George Luciano - said he filled out my loan incorrectly and I would have to resign. This is the same Finance Department that convinced me to use their services because they could get me a better rate... That was FALSE... George said, after I've had the car for a week, that I would need to resign at a higher interest rate (higher than what I walked into the dealership, preapproved with) but don't worry, they will cut me a check for the difference because the mix-up was on their end... I had my car in for service 05/09/25. Today 05/13/25 Kia Seltos literally started making this dragging noise! Then the whole Dashboard started flashing collision, lane failure etc! I called the service center 20 plus times to get someone to Help! Alejandro a woman kept transferring me. My service advisor Russell Tambarine! Which I kept telling her he was not at his desk! Please can someone help me!! I am in the middle of planning the death of my sister and they literally kept transferring me after I explained all of this I attempt to call all the way to the service center, which took me about 20 miles driving 15 mph and when I got here, Russell was sitting at his desk. I explained to him what was going on. He did not even come to the car to look at the car I told him I had a full extended warranty and my plea for help. I was met with sarcasm like he didn't care about my sisters death and I urgently I needed my car. He just said you have to wait like everybody else in here when I told him that I had a feeling once they went up under the hood I might start having problems. He said well why you bought your car back here! if I hadn't purchased this warranty from them, I would never come back to Kia. This has been the worst service. Tom Terrific here with another honest business review. I don't think i've seen this many one star reviews since the Titanic sunk. According to all of those reviews this place is a hangout for shysters, con artists and liars. I was shopping around for a second vehicle to pull a boat and i came across a car at Gettel that i might have been interested in. I gave them an email asking if it was still available and someone replied that it was. From that day forward for a week a different person emailed me every day wanting me to call them. They came after me like a pack of hungry wolves starving in the wilderness that has come across a wounded elk. I got emails saying if you don't like your original car here are some other choices and they sent pictures and prices of other cars. Then i received emails saying maybe i should lease. They don't give up. If this is what they do to you online i cannot imagine the pressure they'd put on you in person. I unsubscribed and came to YELP to share my story. We drove over two hours to look at a car. There was a huge scrape over the top of the vehicle along with several rock chips. We asked if there were two sets of car keys and the salesman thought there was. There only ended up being one set of keys, but I do not blame the sales person for that. That was a dealbreaker for us as everyone needs two sets of keys in case one gets lost or gets locked in the vehicle. they said they have resources to make an extra set of keys, but would cost anywhere from $300-$500. If they have all these resources like they say they do, why did they not make an extra set of keys before they put the car on the lot? I don't know anyone in their right mind that would only want or accept one set of keys. The minute the sales person realized we were not going to possibly purchase the vehicle He copped an attitude. I decided then and there it was time to leave. I want to be respected when I'm walking in the door, walking out the door and everything in between. He did get his manager who said that the vehicle was priced to sell and said they would split the cost of a key. But we would have to bring the vehicle back. We reminded them that we are two hours away and we are not going to drive that far to get an extra set of keys made when they could've easily resolved that issue from the beginning when the car came into their possession. read more

Moved to the Tampa area several months ago. I have a 2022 SORENTO still under warranty. The TPS light came on and I needed routine oil/filter change. Had made an appointment at a Kia dealer in Brandon. Arrived there and they asked if I was going to wait. I said yes since I did not have a ride. The service rep rudely said, well you're looking at least 3-4 hours. Needless to say I left. Not sure what the point of making an appointment was. Scheduled an appointment with Gettel Kia a few weeks later. When I arrived I was greeted with a very courteous service rep. Waited in the service area waiting room for a little over an hour. My TPS light was taken care of, oil/ filter change and tires rotated. My vehicle was vacuumed and washed. Now I know which dealer I will be buying my next Kia from. read more

I found the car I was looking for on autotrader. I called gettel kia and asked if they still had it. The boiler room phone guy said they did. I asked him to inspect the car for me and see if there was anything notable about the car that I should look at more closely. He called me back 10 minutes later and said the car was in great condition and I'd be very happy. I told him I was an hour away but on my way. Turns out the lazy, lying lout never got off his ass in the phone room because the car was not even on the lot. It was in the body shop. There was not anything wrong with it other than the fact that it was still filthy from the previous owner and was festooned with bumper stickers that had to be removed. Basically, the car was not ready to be sold but nobody there valued my time enough to tell me this before I arrived. Honestly, I should not be singling out gettel for their deceptive practices since many car dealers are equally blase about their customers but gettel is the one who did it to me. Right now it's a seller's market and dealers can just stick their hands out and get paid too much for a car but it's not always going to be that way. One day the market will turn. sleazy is the word I would use to describe this dealership. I went to go buy a K5 that was listed at MSRP online at $27,890. I get there and they bring out the out the door price and say it's $40,000. LOL. They added a $5,000 dealer fee (L.O.L.) , $2,000 for accessories including cup holders, automatic breaks, etc, $1,100 for predelivery service of getting the car shipped to their location after manufacturing. I mean this stuff is just a slap in the Face to add on and they don't care. highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs, they do terrible business. read more

Gettel Kia is a disaster. The only bright spot was our salesman Anthony. Our first issue was how the wanted to change the deal when we wanted the car titled in Illinois. After they changed their approach on that and agreed to Illinois, we bought the car. Then they simply stalled for two month, got us the title but no license or registration. On 8/26/24 in the am, my husband brought my kia to the service department on 14th St, Bradenton Florida due to the fact that i received an alert that my tire pressure was low and needed to be checked out. The person in the service department told him that they were too busy to check it now and my husband said "They acted as though they didn't want anything to do with me". Too busy to provide good customer service to a loyal customer who had purchased 2 cars from this dealership?? So my husband left and went to the Toyota dealer next door to have this issue looked at and they did check it out and adjusted whatever was wrong and took it for a drive to make sure it was working ok and there was no charge!! Some good, some bad but the bad vas very bad and the good was only ok. First for the good. My first maintneance for my new Kia, in and out in just over an hour. That's not bad, probably pretty good for a dealership. They washed the outside and vacumed the inside of my vehicle without asking, That was a nice surprise, escpecially the interior vacum. The Service Advisor tried to improve his friendliness after a rocky start. Overall the good was marginally above average, no where near up to the standards of excellent customer service that I had come to expect by by services at their sister store Gettle Toyota of Bradenton, the Toyota Service Department is nothing short of outstanding. This one has a long way to go, to come anywhere near that great customer experience. Now the bad: Very bad in my opinion. So much so, I probably will not go back there for my next visit and will try Sunset Kia of Sarasota, even though I live in Parrish. The Service Advisor, Keith, did not where a mask when greeting me at my vehicle or when preparing the paperwork as I was standing less than six feet away from him across his desk to sign the repair order. He put my life and the life of other customers at risk. There was another male service advisor also not wearing his mask, he later put it on but Keith did not. He did not wear a mask while interacting with several customers during the hour I was at the dealership. Additionally, you cannot trust this dealership to tell you the truth. They do an "old school" practice of recommending more maintenance than the vehcile needs according to the manufacturer and all the extensive research I did before arriving. I have a 2019 Kia Optima and was there for my first maintenance at 7,500 miles according to the recommendation from Kia, my vehcile's internal maintenance alert system, the instructions from the dealer who sold it to me, research I did with several other Kia dealerships, KBB and Repair Pal. They all state the first mainetenance is at 7,500 miles. Keith, the Service Advisor, tried to tell me I should have brought the vehcile in for an oil change at 3,750 miles and that the dealership recommends an oil change every 3,750 miles. That is a extremely dishones practice that is nothing short of ripping off customers who fall for it. That practice, of deceiving their customers into servicing their vehicle more frequently than it needs, is an old trick of the car business that the manufacturers have been fighting against for years. It is dishonest and only designed to increase revenue and profits. Sadly, the dealerships like this one, which engage in that exploitation of unaware customers, actually see less business as the word gets out that they cannot be trusted to tell you the truth. read more

First, let me say, I take some responsibility for my poor buying experience. I should have walked out several times and I consider myself more adept at car buying. I usually have everything resolved before even arriving at the dealership. When I arrived and walked in with my mask on, not a single person in the entire dealership was wearing a mask. Now, this may not be an issue to many, but as a business, it was unconscionable. I was told that they "social distanced", but two people walked up to me within a foot or two, maskless. But, I went out and looked at the cars. The salesman could tell I was concerned, so he wore a bandana. I knew what I wanted, so it was really only an issue about the price, which I had more or less researched, on the dealers website, prior to arrival. After agreeing on the car, the manager came out to check my trade in and offered $3000 less than what was on the website. During "negotiations" I said I preferred to stay outside, since, again, everyone inside was maskless. He came back out, said he found "a buyer" for my car and then offered a lease price $50/month higher than the advertised price. When he said it wasn't true, I showed him the ad in black and white. He came back again, with me waiting outside, and gave a price that I thought was fair, but since I was outside and not really sitting and able to really review the offer, turned out not to be what I thought. It wasn't until all the papers were signed and I didn't get a check back for my trade, that I realized I didn't get the deal I expected. The only positive is that, as expected, my wife really likes the car. But I will look for somewhere else to get it serviced and will not do business with any other Gettel dealership. read more
