After waiting weeks for it to arrive I realized I had an email in my junk folder from the billing department stating my credit card was flagged with them due to different billing and shipping addresses. Emailed several times and got 2 responses and absolutely no replies or contact after that. Ordered a part and was told there would be a one month wait, I said that was fine. Received an email 2 days later asking me to confirm the VIN. Replied with the VIN. Never heard anything back, waited a month and reached out asking what the status was and was told that the part was never ordered. See screenshots attached. I decided to just walk into my local dealer provide the same VIN and had the part ordered with zero issues. I only remembered to come here and leave this review because my local dealer called me yesterday and I just stopped by to pick up the part. So not only is there zero customer communication on their end, they literally don't even know anything about the cars they sell parts for. Worse customer service . try a different company. Their internet director has no tact and they make excuses after excuses on everything telling the customer it's not their fault. On top of that the item im buying is $44 the shipping is $13 more than 1/4 of the price of the item. It gets better. They charge you a HANDLING FEE of almost $4 so you think you're saving on the item when clearly you're not but they wont tell you about the handling fee. Buying it at the dealership would have been the same price after their shipping and handling as the dealership has no handling fee and better service. This company is not worth your try. I ordered an oil change kit for my E46 3-series BMW. The photo shows that the kit contains the oil, filter, oil filter housing gasket, drain plug gasket, and a little green o-ring for the oil filter housing cap stem. Most other suppliers don't show or include the little green o-ring, but I ordered from these folks because they did show it, suggesting it comes with the kit. It doesn't. When I complained I was told that they used a "stock photo," and basically too bad the small green o-ring is not included. This part is less than a dollar, and they could have sent it to me for less than a dollar. But apparently keeping a repeat customer isn't important. Be very careful ordering from these people, and don't rely on pictures to know what is included in the part you are ordering. read more

long time customer with Getbmwparts.com. after dealing with them over a decade this place went down to the dogs. especially after jason geinghard left few years ago. my current experience is rather horrible. they offer free shipping on $500+ orders. I've been ordering oil many times in the past on this deal and never had issues. issues. now its all little print they don't disclose. order over $2K and that comes in play. so my solution was simple i would break order in few and that would comply. so this guy Ben tells me your shipping is very good for what you order almost$300. rather steep especially when you have never paid that much. I've cancelled the order, right after i put some items to comply with free shipping. cart showed free shipping. . minute later the web page has removed free shipping that was on the top of their web page. this is not right but ,, one thing I've learned all good things come to the end and unfortunately under Evan's management things are not as they used to be. too bad it was good and hones business that had some pride in providing customers service . not now. order number44159977 read more

I ordered 2 license plate frames. They charged $21 for shipping and handling. Plus they were incredibly slow.

They had a part I needed advertised online at a great price. I paid for expedited shipping and thought I found a great place to do business. I got the tracking info and they shipped it FedEx and my heart sank! The part made it to Indianapolis IN and then fell into the FedEx abyss. I made contact with BMW Parts and got a snarky email stating it was not their problem it was a FedEx issue. Well as the customer who did not get to choose the carrier I disagree. It is a BMW Parts issue! I was told to wait until Monday as it was 4pm on Friday. So I waited hoping the package would move and it would arrive a few days late. On Monday it was still stuck in Indianapolis IN. When I spoke to BMW Parts I was told it was insured and they would not only get the part back when I canceled they would also get the full cost of the part and shipping a great deal for everyone except I still needed the part. I was told I would receive a full refund including shipping the same day. The next day no refund appeared in my PayPal account, no response to my inquiry as to why from BMW Parts. I asked when I would receive the money they stated the same day, I did not set the expectation they did! I still do not have my money! I will get it back but the attitude from BMW Parts tells me it will be at the last possible moment PayPal will allow. Do not be fooled by a great price on an expensive part find someone else to get your BMW part. BMW South has always been great and I should have used them they will price match! read more

This is operated by BMW of Silver Springs and operates out of the parts department of the dealership. It's amazing because prices are sometimes 50% off from what I would get at my local dealer in Los Angeles. The issue is that their website does not indicate if an item is in stock or not. Other parts websites do- they indicate, for instance, that it will take 2-3 days for the part to ship to you. Thinking that the part was in stock, I placed my order and got no feedback after a couple of days. I tracked down their phone number and called them, they were able to confirm that the part was on order and 2-3 days away from getting to them, and up to another week away to get to me. I probably would have saved 3-4 days ordering from somewhere else, but it's not certain. GetBMWParts had the best price - I may order from them again knowing this was the issue. I see some negative reviews below of people never getting their parts- luckily I ordered on my Amex so I can always contest the charge if they pull anything like that, but from the phone call I have some confidence that I'll be OK. The part did arrived as promised and on time, cheapest price I had found, and OEM BMW - all good. Just wish the website had live reporting. read more

Wow, I am shocked to see the low rating here. I've used "GetBMWparts.com" for more than a decade and have never had anything but stellar service. I haven't used the "brick and mortar" Silverspring, MD BMW as I live on the left coast, but the people in the online department are top notch and prices are about 30% less than BMW list. I have purchased repair parts including replacement trunk releases, power window regulators, windshield washer motors and even an extra wheel for my M3 to serve as a spare (no spares on the e90). Always fast service, great prices, easy to navigate site. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

So far, I have found the pricing to be competitive and the responsiveness and service to be great ... I surprised to see the negative comments in Yelp and have to say that I have not experienced any of the issues listed. So I noticed that the getbmwparts.com reviews seem to be lumped in with those of BMW of Silver Spring, but I believe it is technically a separate business entity "powered by BMW of Silver Spring". I regularly do business with these guys and have always found them to be extremely helpful. I would love to see improvements to see Parts identification resources added to their site and I'd prefer a phone number contact, but otherwise I've always been very pleased with the user interface. With that said, any time I've ever had questions, I use their contact us tab and get a lightning fast response from Evan/Jason As far as ease of use goes, my parents and wife have both sourced 3er parts from the site as presents and each has told me how wonderful the Team was to deal with. The parts have been OEM and the quality you would expect from BMW. They are incompetent in critical respects. I ordered a set of winter wheels/tires. The original person I dealt with regarding the fitment of parts was fine(Jason), however, something happened after the ordering with the delivery(Vishal). UPS freight was needed to ship it but Getbmwparts(GBP) did not include my phone number so UPS could schedule a delivery. I just happened to be tracking the shipment and noticed that UPS couldn't call me because there was no phone number. I emailed my cell phone number to GBP and, subsequently, UPS's tracking status claimed the phone number is disconnected. The number I emailed to GBP was correct. I emailed GBP to complain and Vishal pawned me off on UPS Freight. This behavior is totally unacceptable. A reputable company provides followup, not tell the customer to take care of it themselves. Calling UPS Freight directly, I found out that the phone number UPS was given was off by one digit. The problem is either GBP or UPS and, given the other negative comments here on Yelp, I'd say that GBP was at fault. GBP needs to fire the person (people) who deal with the shipments. I also had a small shipment that took over 6 days to be delivered. GBP shows on their website that it takes typically two days for parts to be delivered from MD to MA. These parts did originate from the dealership so it seems that it's false advertising regarding standard transit times. USPS sent the part from MD to CT to IL then to MA. GBP is responsive on parts fitment and their prices are good but are dreadful on shipment. They also add in a stealth "handling charge" of $2.95 that shows when you are paying for an order, it's not disclosed up front. read more

They gouge on shipping and parts turnaround is somewhat slow. $13.94 for shipping and handling and 7-business day delivery for a small and lightweight part. At least slap a USPS Priority label on there for $7.50 and you're still profiting off S+H and getting to part delivered 4 days sooner.
