I'm kind of a big dude and for 16 bucks I'm full. Good barbecue and good sides. Glad I stopped.

The food truck is set right in the middle of the cabins that the owners also run, and the whole setup has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. There are two small patio areas where you can sit outside, rest after hiking, and enjoy the mountain air while eating something fresh and comforting. Sandra herself was an absolute pleasure to talk to. She shared parts of her story with me, a story of immigration, resilience, hard work, and success that genuinely warmed my heart. You can feel that this business was built with determination, hope, and a lot of love behind it. The food was excellent. We ordered chips and salsa, pork street tacos, and a chicken salad, and everything tasted fresh and homemade, care came through in every bite. Simple, authentic, sincere food done really well. After days of standard road-trip meals, this felt refreshing and personal in the best way. Overall, if you are in Baker after hiking or exploring Great Basin National Park, this is absolutely worth stopping for. Good food, kind people, and the kind of small business story that reminds you why local places matter.

After a series of events that took place, I figured the corn dog man would have been closed for the day since it was now dinner time instead of lunch. Wrong! As hubby and I entered the Ace Hardware parking lot (Bluff St and the Blvd) not only was the corn dog man there, but so were a few other trucks. We had just rolled up on the "St George Food Truck Roundup" where food trucks meet up weekly. They start out early in the day and go until 9 pm sometimes. When each truck arrives isn't the same time, so I suggest following the truck you are looking for on Facebook or Twitter or even check their website to track them down. I enjoyed my corn dog and then had some dessert from the "Waffle Love" truck. I learned that World's Best Corn Dogs has a sister truck called "Love me Tender" serving you guessed it, chicken fingers! They have fries as well, but I didn't order anything from that truck because I was so full. Next time! Also in the lot was Sonny Boy's BBQ, Waffle Bliss (not to be confused with Waffle Love), Bite's Donuts and Nacho Mama. The trucks usually meet up together on Mondays, but sometimes meet up other days, too. You can find some of them most days right in the lot, but catching them all together is cool. I saw many families there during the roundup. I only wish they set up some tables and chairs. I have no issue at all with eating in my car and do it often. I can understand if it's just 1 truck, but when they have several trucks and are wanting people to gather in the lot, it makes sense to have a few tables and chairs out. Maybe they will catch on as the roundup grows bigger. They do have trash cans set up so you can dispose of your trash properly which is a plus. I was happy to catch this mini food truck festival and look forward to stopping by again.

Really good food! The service was outstanding. This will become a regular stop when we are in town!read more

We stopped at the Historic Silver Cafe and both got the Boom Town BBQ Bacon Burger. For my burger, I switched out the American cheese for the habanero ghost pepper cheese and boy did that have a kick. The burger itself was seasoned and cooked well and the fries that came along with it were good as well. From the looks of it, there were 2 people working in the restaurant. The very nice lady working the front of the restaurant was the cashier, server, and busser all in one and then you had the cook in the back working his magic. Keep in mind that the restaurant is small so seating is limited. When you visit, sit back and enjoy the ambiance of the mining town theme inside.

We drove the extra bit as it was for my birthday. We started off with bacon cheese fries - which im honestly still dreaming of because everything was soooo fresh. 9.5/10 I tried everything my family ordered. Byb (bring your butt) burger - had an incredible kick of spice but the burger itself was exactly what id want out of a burger from a diner. Crisp and fried well. Flavored on a good grill and hot a fresh very obviously. 8/10 Grilled chicken bacon ranch sandwich - on sourdough with fries. Fries were a 10. Loved the homeade ranch. Would have liked it better with a tomato or something to brighten it up. 7/10 Prime rib w/mashed potatoes - i noticed it was missing horseradish which is actually prefereable for me but not for others. The prime rib medium was very well made. The au just well compliment it. The mashed potatoes were explained by my dad as tasting like they were fake. I didn't feel that way but they wrte definitely not at the same caliber. 8/10 Cheesesteak sando - fries 10/10. Meat was the same meat on the french dip and seemed yo be the same meet in a roast beef type sando. Great flavor, toppings, bread was soft and I really enjoyed it. I didn't really see the cheese on it which was the only detractors in my opinion. I also loved tbat they smoothly handled a walk in group of 20 well. Vibe is small town diner but very clean and friendly. Def make it a stop!
