I called Pelican for a second opinion and rather than just push new hardware, they did their due diligence to pinpoint the problem.They figured out that not enough power was being supplied to the pool panel and it ended being a bad breaker that was supplying too little voltage for the pump to operate. One new breaker later and I am back up and running. Thanks Pelican for being good people and not just pushing products.

Their crew worked in the dead heat of our Arizona summer heat waves and although we offered coolers for them, they were self prepared. I am happy to report that after enjoying our pool for a full year, no issues to be reported of the pool. Kangaroo pools have remained in contact, and fixed any issues (very minor) that cropped up. Vince, Vanessa, German and their teams coordinated well and were responsive in their texts throughout the build. The key to working well with them is making sure you're ontop of your own communication, articulation, and clarity. I hired this company for almost two years. They were great, until they completely screwed us over…read more My new tenants informed me that the pool had algae and was really dirty. I didn't understand why because we had weekly pool service. I reached out to try to understand what was going on. Tara (customer service contact) then told me that they had not been able to access my backyard due to the lock code changing. This conversation happened one day ago (Sept 21st). Our lock code changed in May! I went to my ring cameras and service had not been completed since September. Unfortunately, this was as far back as my ring camera allows me to see. Unfortunately, I can only prove that the service I was being billed for was not completed for 8 weeks. This probably went on for much longer. They claim to have sent me an email on Sept 19th (which at this point I don't even care to go find), but never picked up the phone to try to contact me or fix the issue. When I called to ask them to fix the issue, they tried to charge me for extra chemicals and the extra service to rebalance the pool. Charge me more for a service I had been billed for but had not been complete?!?! They said it was my fault for not informing them of the code. Yet, it was okay for them to keep showing up to a locked code week after week without picking up the phone to call me or text me. They said they had to pay their techs for each visit and that's why they would not grant me any service without additional payment. I also paid for filter cleaning service that the manager said had not been completed due to lack of access... again, there was no phone call for them to try to resolve the issue. Had I not reached out, they would have kept charging and just showing up to a locked gate. This is an awful business practice! They lose a customer over fixing a small issue. I would not recommend this service to out of state owners, STR owners or anyone who is not at the property daily to confirm service completion.

After doing some research and suspecting either low water flow or calcium buildup, I decided to go with Precision Pool Tech because they offered a lower service call price than the other companies that responded. I'm glad I chose them! It turned out the problem was simply a handle I didn't realize needed to be turned to allow proper water flow through the pipes. Although I was a little frustrated that I hadn't known this sooner, the technician was great. He checked the calcium levels, made sure everything else was running properly, and took the time to explain what he was doing. Very knowledgeable and professional--overall a positive experience.

It wouldn't go down and didn't do the job a pop-up does. The process goes very quickly. The pool is beautiful, turned out great, except the pool aerator was put up to close to the edge of the pool so it is crooked and askew and looks bad, very noticeable. Of course, they didn't have the attachment in when they had me sign off that everything was great. Still waiting to see what can be done to make it look better. Hopefully something! We did sign off on this ahead of time just want you to be prepared if you have anything in your current yard. So, you will have your funds. One warning when they have you sign off on them destroying your current yard meaning anything on the way to where you want your pool such as lighting, irrigation whatever is there believe them. They will destroy even where you don't think they will. Have your money ready for those to be repaired or redone.

In late March 2024 we contracted with Fowler's to service our pool, spa and water feature. We…read morechose them because they had a very high rating on Yelp. During the initial months, their service was outstanding. At their recommendation we had them replace multiple components to our system. Their initial performance resulted in me writing a five star review on Yelp. In the past year, their service for us had deteriorated significantly. I contacted management multiple times regarding various issues. I complained when they replaced a very competent service technician with an individual who was marginal at best. After several months, he was replaced by another individual who was only minimally better. During the early months of our contract, Fowler's agreed to clean our water feature filter two times per month at no charge. Recently we noticed a reduction in the flow from the waterfall for our water feature and asked the technician to clean the filter. He replied "I'll do it next week". Several days later the water flow stopped altogether. This resulted in another call to management who subsequently informed me that the two times per month cleaning of the filter had not been done for the past five months. He then told me that they were no longer honoring their previous commitment and would only clean the filter every four months with a cost to us of more than $200. If additional cleanings were needed, we would be charged an additional fee. At that point, I decided to look for other vendors. The two that I interviewed both said that the water feature was full of algae. This was without any prompting by us. I contracted with a new vendor who cleaned the water feature filter and removed the algae. The time to clean the filter was seven minutes. To jeprodize a very lucrative contract for a seven minute task makes me question Fowler's business expertise. In retrospect, after spending over $13,000 with Fowler's in less than two years, I realize that they were not the company for us. I gave them more chances than most and they failed to perform to my expectations. I now know why they have recently received poor Yelp ratings from other individuals. On their website, they failed to include Yelp ratings. I wonder why!!! Richard J.

What's most upsetting is they don't take responsibility - they blame everything except themselves and their product/install. Usually a company that is proud of their work would make sure the problem is fixed the first time it breaks, but nope, this "brand new product" keeps breaking and they are utterly shameless each time they come out and never say sorry, but just start blaming other things. If they want to fix this, take your product back and give me my money back. Just like your product/install, the trust is not fixable.
