But then last month, it happened twice in three weeks--first time was my old radiator finally giving out, and the second time was a brake issue. Both times were terrible timing, and I really needed my car back fast. Even without an appointment, they fit me in, got the parts quickly, and had me back on the road way faster than I expected. That kind of service under pressure is rare. I was so grateful that they understood the predicament I was in and they, as per usual, took great care of me. Bottom line: I've always felt totally comfortable with the work they do, and it's always a pleasure dealing with everyone there. Ferrell's is the real deal. Jonny Prius & EV Repair- Negligence Cost Me an Engine…read moreRating: I am writing this to warn others--especially women--about the costly negligence I experienced at this shop. My car was towed here in November for overheating. I paid $565 for what I was told were the necessary repairs. However, the car overheated again almost immediately because the original problem was never actually fixed. Upon inspection, it appeared the thermostat had never been replaced. Because the shop failed to perform the initial repair correctly, my engine was severely damaged and completely failed, requiring a full engine replacement that cost thousands of dollars. When I went back, the owner tried to quote me $5,000 for a new engine to fix the damage his own negligence caused. I filed a formal complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). Following their investigation, the owner was forced to refund my $565 because he could not produce a single receipt or proof of what work he had supposedly done the first time. I ended up taking my car elsewhere to have the engine replaced. Do not take your vehicle here. Their lack of transparency and failure to perform basic repairs resulted in major mechanical failure for my car.

I did call the local branch in Atascadero, not a call center as this number has been in my phone for decades as an old Tire pro's customer. But today I arrived and waited until 835 and asked why my car is still out front and not being worked on. Well the alignment guy comes in at 845. So it would have helped a lot of I was told that when I made the appointment. I had 2 little boys with me waiting, ages 5 and 8. But thankfully the guy showed up and at 847 my car was driven into the work bay. I did have 1 alignment adjustment needed and made. Right front toe was off. Brakes were good. So all in all I was pleased. I do really miss the guys I knew for decades at Tire Pros and the change makes me a little sad.
