Additionally, I wanted a shelf on/near the railing - this is the porch to go to the patio and BBQ grill. Jorge did fantastic work! It looks terrific. There were many tricky aspects to it and he conquered all difficulties. I felt the price was fair - he was definitely not the cheapest quote I got, but I had followed up with references who raved about him - and I can see why - he did very good work. That said, he could have been a better communicator - I would have liked a written proposal and I wish it had not been me to follow up with him on "are you coming today" - however, he had had an emergency in his family so it may have been just that. I very much recommend Jorge for porch railings. Plus - added bonus - he's a really nice guy!

They also did a great job in repairing some subpar drywall work that was done by the original contractors. Rick exceeded my expectations as he used cedar rather than pressure treated lumber and trimmed the boards nicely at 45* angles rather then just cut them off on each end. Fine little details that make a difference and shows you the quality craftsmanship that are a part of all his projects. Rick and Norbac Remodeling are my go to guys for all my projects, big or small. I hired PJ Painting to paint 3 areas of my home. Two of the three areas required significant patch…read morework and sanding. I typically would do the painting myself, but this was beyond my skill set. Unfortunately, it was also beyond theirs too. In each area I can tell where the patch work was done, even simple nail holes. I am not sure if this is due to poor patching, or because they only did one coat of paint. They say they will come back and do touch-ups. I am still waiting to hear back after 2 no shows and several emails to them. My suggestion is that you do not pay them until you thoroughly check their work. I have major areas that need work that we missed at first glance. Please see the photos. Lastly, be prepared for a lot of cleaning afterwards. My entire house was covered in dust from the sanding. Lastly, there are paint drops on the floor, fixtures, and windows.

It was included in the very competitive quote as well as all patching and scraping and they still came in lower. They did a great job on the siding and trim and in one place I had trim that had warped years ago, they patched and filled perfectly. No mess, not even a drip on the deck! Would and did hire again, had them do my mother in laws house the next week and again, a perfect stress free job, which is what we needed because we couldnt be up at her house to over see constantly.
