We were hoping to get some summer on our deck this year. We contracted him on 3/29/2021 and date of completion was 9/8/2021. After I asked for more frequent updates and for an expected finish date, I received much better communication and project was then completed on timetable I was given. Janet Kuester New Lenox

My wife and I wanted to replace our small, old, outdated elevated deck with a larger deck with a maintenance free Pergola that would be better suited to entertaining. We got three quotes but only Brandon came up with a design that was exactly what we wanted and was within our budget. The crew was terrific. They were considerate of the lawn and nearby landscaping and did a great job with cleaning up. A couple guys even sung along with the radio. They enjoy what they do and it shows in the quality of the deck. They build "happy" decks! If you're looking for more than just the run of the mill boring deck, Design A Deck is the company to call.

Mike and his team are the exception! Extremely friendly and responsive. Pricing is fair and quality is outstanding. After installing our Trex deck, I had a need for a repair years later (ladder fell on deck). Mike responded the same day I sent him a message and took care of the problem immediately. This is the third large window that AT Construction has installed in our home. Adam, the owner of…read morethe company, is a gentleman and a true professional. His pricing is fair and reasonable. When we met to discuss the most recent window replacement project, he set a production and installation schedule and he followed it to the letter. Further, AT Construction's workmanship and attention to detail are remarkable. To evidence this fact, when they completed the work, the window looked perfect. Notwithstanding, Adam pointed out a small imperfection in one of the screens and promised to have it addressed and corrected. Less than 24 hours later, he already has a Pella representative scheduled to inspect and presumably replace or repair the screen. Alter two separate window projects (three total windows) we cannot say too many good things about AT Construction.

For $15k cash you think this guy would put more care and effort and craftsmanship, or at the very least use decent material. 3 months later and the fence is literally falling apart. Extremely disappointed with our experience with Certified Fence & Deck. We paid top dollar prices…read moreexpecting quality craftsmanship and materials, but unfortunately, the work did not come close to matching the price. The gate door and posts are leaning and uneven, and the gate that was installed was such poor quality that we ultimately had to pay another $500 to have someone else install a proper gate. That is an additional expense we should never have had to pay after already paying a premium price for a fence. The fence was also only given one coat of paint, and it is very noticeable. A second coat should have been applied, and the installer knew that. The finish is uneven and does not look like the quality of work you would expect from a company charging what they charge. We also discovered that the wrong type of nails were used, which is extremely concerning because it can affect the longevity of the fence. When you're paying top dollar for a fence, you shouldn't have to worry about whether the proper materials and installation methods were used. The biggest issue, however, is the warranty. They claim to stand behind their work, but when we brought these problems to their attention, they did not stand behind the work the way we expected them to. At this point, we've paid premium pricing, been left with poor craftsmanship and questionable material choices, and then had to spend another $500 out of pocket to correct part of the work. If you were considering them, DON'T! I strongly recommend asking exactly what materials will be used, and getting very clear information about what their warranty actually covers. For the amount of money we paid, we expected a fence that was straight, level, properly constructed, properly painted, and built to last. That is not what we received. I'd give them zero stars if I could
