ORANGE PARK, AVOID GERBER AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR AT ALL COSTS!!! Two weeks ago, made a 3pm appt to have an estimate done on my Toyota Highlander (had a fender bender that damaged the front end of my car). Because Gerber was nearby and on the approved list from my insurance company, USAA, I thought it would be convenient. I was super WRONG! My husband (who took time off from work) and I arrived on time for my 3pm appt at the 1011 Blanding Blvd Orange Park Fl 32065 location. When I checked in, I was told that the person doing my estimate (WENDY) was on lunch (at 3pm?) Didnt make sense to me, but we waited(and waited) and finally it was well past 3:30pm when she finally rolled in from her lunch. Wendy immediately went to helping other people, avoiding us, despite the fact that we had been waiting for 40 mins. When she finally got to us, Wendy muttered a lame apology about the line at the bank and we gave her the keys. WENDY did her inspection and explained how USAA works with Gerber, hands us a brochure & then WENDY confirms my husbands email & cell phone and tells us to expect an email that evening/next morning--(it would be a copy of what she was sending to USAA). Before leaving, WENDY books my appt for my car to be repaired two weeks out on 20August2019 with a 7:30am dropoff. For two weeks we have been waiting for ANY COMMUNICATION from WENDY in regards to my claim and NO EMAIL MESSAGE EVER CAME TO US NOR DID USAA RECIEVE ANYTHING FROM WENDY! I can tell you that repeated calls and voicemails have left me & my husband frustrated. We have spent time waiting on hold only to have calls transferred straight to voicemail with never a return call. Yesterday, the evening prior to my SCHEDULED REPAIR, and I AM LEFT WITHOUT AN ESTIMATE, ther eww s been NO COMMUNICATIONS and I am WITHOUT A REPAIR SHOP! I have contacted USAA and shared with the them our experience with WEND, including her lack of professionalism. This morning Anthony Demarro, Gerbers general manager called to see if there was any chance to smooth over our problems, but by now we have contacted USAA & filed a complaint and decided upon a more reputable body shop. I did tell Mr. Demorro that I would be expecting a phone call from WENDY apologizing for her lack of follow thru, which she did call but blamed this on their new manager for not approving the estimate as well as excuse after excuse; "She had been sick, childs been sick, she had an MRI "--the excuses were endless. By now, weve read several reviews and many mention Wendy and her lack of professionalism, lack of follow thru and her inability to return phone calls/emails--always blaming others or claiming to 'not have gotten any messages'. Seems to be a trend with Wendy so even if you do select Gerber, I suggest NOT asking for Wendy!!! Not sure how WENDY remains employed. She represents the GERBER business and her work ethic leaves a lot to be desired. read more

My brand new 2020 RAV4 Hybrid was hit in the front by my Father In Law, and it is my only set of wheels. It was really bad. Gerber did an excellent job and Wendy was wonderful keeping me infromed all the way through the process. They even helped me get a rental down the street from them at Hertz; they had them come and get me in the closest thing to a replacement as they could get that day; a brand new 2020 Nissan Murano. It is a nice car but it is not my RAV4, so I was glad to get it back in less than a week. the only thing I have to complain about is they did not wash the roof of the vehicle; which meant I had to wash it that night when I got home and saw it was a mess. read more

I hit a big opossum going 70 mph with my spouses Avalon. Although after the estimate it took 3 weeks to get on the schedule, Gerber Collision did a perfect job at fixing the air conditioning, front end and matched paint perfectly. Never a good time to spend money on car repairs but from start to finish the folks here made it manageable with updates and got the job done in 3 days. Great job! Thanks! read more

Had a great experience from beginning to end. The inspection was very thorough and even asked if I agreed with findings. Didn't waste my time and scheduled me once all parts were in. Estimated three days for repairs and were done in two. Even washed my car inside and out. Staff very courteous and kept me current on progress via email and text. Took my car in on Tuesday for an insurance estimate they took it in then and had it repaired by Friday. Car looks great, the paint repair is excellent cannot tell it has been painted at all. They even buffed out some minor scratches that weren't included in the repairs. Great work, read more
