My insurance sent me to Safelite, but after reading their reviews there was no way I was going to trust them with my truck! I found Blue Chip and their amazing customer feedback online and gave them a call. Kelly answered my questions, and was humbled by my asking to switch from Safelite. The appointment was set, lobby was stocked with delicious snacks (even vegan) and drinks, and the bathroom was clean. Chris checked me in, and John checked me out when it was time to leave. Freddy did a stellar job on my truck, even grabbing me to show what the body of my truck looked like after removing the old glass (yeah, there was some rust there). He explained that while he can do his best to clean it up by grinding it, that there would be a chance in the future for leaks and would be unavoidable unless I got body work done to fix it, which I opted out of. I thanked him for his transparency. Mind you, I have a 1999 GMC Suburban, which is not perfect, but I don't mind it. Freddy showed me my glass when he was all finished and I couldn't have been happier! I came back the next morning, sat in my car and ate breakfast from Taco Bell while chatting with Tom as he filled and cured the hole in my windshield. I've included a photograph. I'm very happy with the result. You can see a tiny bit from the outside (pictured) and nearly nothing from the inside (so not pictured.) In the past two weeks, I've had stones on AZ 303 damage both my hood and my windshield. I suspect I will be seeing Tom again soon. The price was reasonable, the conversation friendly, and it was somehow comforting that the work was done by the steady hands of a retired tree surgeon. After one of their…read morecompetitors damaged my window regulator while "trying" to replace my door glass, late on a Tuesday afternoon, A Plus Glass replaced both the door glass and the regulator at a moments notice. It was 3:00 in the afternoon and after the glass company, my insurance company scheduled to replace my door glass, wasn't experienced enough to replace it, I was at the end of my rope. We had our Toy Hauler loaded and ready to leave for the mountains in the morning. I called Chaney's Collision Center and spoke to Joe Downey. I explained the situation to Joe and he immediately, without hesitation said he would take care of everything from the repair to billing the Insurance company. He coordinated the repair with Carmele and Betty at A Plus Glass and told me to take my truck over to them ASAP. When my wife arrived at A Plus Glass they were waiting for her so they could start the repairs. They quickly got the vehicle to a Technician and he immediately went to work on it. It was now almost 4:00 and they didn't have the part in stock. Most companies would have told my wife she would have to come back tomorrow. Not A Plus Glass. They sent a driver out to the east side of the valley to pick up the part they needed to complete the repair and they even stayed after hours to finish the job.There was some question about my insurance coverage of the window regulator but A Plus Glass said not to worry, they would bill the insurance company and if they didn't cover it they would let us know and bill us. That was going way above and beyond. Thanks to Joe, Betty, Carmele, the Technician and anyone else behind the scenes for providing "World Class Customer Service!!!!! At 2:32 PM, the technician texted me that he was starting the dynamic calibration and was "almost done." At 2:33, I was told it would be "a few more minutes." An hour later, at 3:25, after I asked for an update, I was told the vehicle was passing the first part of the calibration but not the second. The technician continued driving my vehicle around attempting the calibration. At 3:50 PM, he sent me a photo of his diagnostic equipment showing the dynamic calibration had a fault after multiple attempts. I even remembered that I had a Progressive Snapshot device in the OBD port and suggested removing it in case it was interfering. At 4:27 PM, the technician returned, but the situation still wasn't resolved. Then at 5:07 PM, I was told he would be "heading back over shortly." By 6:05 PM -- almost an hour later -- I was still waiting and had to text again asking whether I should just call it a day. Ultimately, they were unable to successfully calibrate the ADAS/front camera, gave up on the job, returned the vehicle to me without a successful calibration, and later refunded me. I appreciate that they issued the refund, but I lost most of an afternoon and was left with a newly replaced windshield that still needs to be taken somewhere else for proper calibration. What bothered me most was the communication. I repeatedly heard "a few more minutes," "I'll tell you soon," and "heading back over shortly," while hours passed. If the calibration wasn't working, I would have much preferred to be told that directly rather than continually being given short estimates that weren't accurate. The refund was appropriate, but based on the amount of time wasted, poor communication, and the unfinished calibration, I would not use this company again. I felt like they were being dishonest and the communication was horrible.
