My experience with Martin's Collision Center was disappointing…read more After dropping off my car, I heard nothing for two days. When I called, I was told the repair would take longer than the original four-day estimate. I said I would pick up my car instead, and suddenly they said it could be finished within four days. The next day, they gave me an estimate that was about $1,000 higher than the insurance estimate, so I decided to take my car elsewhere. When I picked up my car, they initially charged me about $275 for checking the sensors and removing/reinstalling the bumper, even though I never approved any repairs. After I disputed the charges, they dropped the $110 sensor fee, but I still had to pay about $150 for work I never authorized--on top of wasting my time. Isn't the purpose of an estimate to let the customer decide whether to proceed before being charged?

I am writing a quick update to my previous review because that review concerned buying a used…read morevehicle at Vann Gannaway and this one reflects my first trip for service. We bought a Dodge minivan there and are very satisfied with it, so I set up an appointment for an oil change, which includes tire rotation. Also we had had a trailer hitch installed elsewhere before that, and afterwards the left rear turn signal didn't work. It has an LED light assembly so I knew it wasn't just a bulb. I took it back to the place that installed the hitch. They replaced the hitch wiring harness under a parts warranty, but afterwards we found it still didn't work. I mention this because I figured I would have VannGannaway look at the turn signal problem during the oil service. When I spoke to them they said it being a Dodge, they might have to take it to the Dodge dealer (whose service ratings aren't nearly as good as Vann Gannaway's). I thought about it and later decided to take it to an auto electric garage for that work, and the problem was fixed. That left just the oil change/tire rotation. When I dropped the van off, I mentioned that the Oil Change alert message ran every time we started the car and could they reset it this time? He said he would tell the technician, but it was a Dodge, so he couldn't guarantee it. Well, they did reset it, so that was good. In conclusion, so far I would recommend them for service for your Chevy, but since we don't have a used car warranty with our vehicle, and since repairs of our Dodge seem to include the possibility of having a Dodge dealer work on it, I will continue to use our long-time service garage.

Well we bring the car in and it's worse off than when we left it The windshield wipers weren't working when we left after they clean up the oil as my employee didn't shut the cap but they did clean up the oil pretty well so did something right. They also changed the oil which he bragged about as as I was complaining and trying to work something out in the middle. They charged me $1800 in storage while I was at the hospital. They didn't call my spouse or anybody else or send emails but they did charge $1,700 in storage extra at a discount supposedly just for a small car in their lot for a couple weeks and they wouldn't work with me on the price. They basically told me to pound sand and then got upset when I was peeved off. They do nothing after they scammed me $1,700 and then wrecked my windshield wipers what really bothered me about this whole situation. Mistakes happen but they said they would fix them because they know they wrecked them when they realize how much of me to fix or or how difficult or whatever they said it was a recall. I have a friend that works for an Aspen dealership in different city that does McLaren and he said it wasn't true. There's no recall on that. We called two McLaren dealerships. They laughed at us and said there's no recall on that. The person's lying and of course he wouldn't even meet me in the middle with anything. Charge me for storage. When I was in the hospital charged me for everything else and then Rex. My windshield wipers lies to me and then says pound sand. We're not doing anything to meach in the middle. Not even help with storage. And the level of arrogance they have is absolutely unbelievable and they have no business being in customer service. I mean if you're going to do a horrible job and wreck vehicles, at least have the decency to be good to people.
