Highly recommend visiting this pool hall if you're in the area. They opened at 3PM on Thursday. We went around 4PM and all of the tables were still available. We were told one of the tables were for pros, meaning it had a smaller pocket. Drinks were quick and easy to put down and the staff were nice. We were told it was $11/hour and a $300 charge if drinks were spilled on the tables. I liked that they had house rules because the tables were definitely in great shape. Also, the bathrooms were clean and required an entry code. It was just my husband and I but we still had lots of fun playing pool here. :)

Apparently a $50 spill, look closely.

The bouncer thought he was sick and charged $50 for someone spilling a two drops of water on the table. Big power trip. I'll never come here again and play pool and seven grand from now on.

I've never had a more rude bartender in my life. I'm 22 and she was bitching about serving me. The whole time I was there she was saying all she wanted to do was fuck her boyfriend. I have never met a more rude person in my life. She did not even deserve my tip and told the next bartender to ignore my presence. This place does not deserve your time...

Going here almost feels like a trip back in time. You enter the Pool Hall through a colorful alleyway and are greeted by a grand hall with an epic upper floor. On that overlooking second story is where you rent tables and sticks as well as purchase your food and drink. Perfect for a night out

Received poor service by rude staff. Was overcharged for drinks. Looks like previous reviews have had the same issue with the bartender, Stacey, who pushed a member of our party against the wall in the alley outside and punched him after we were asked to leave. Also verbally assaulting the girls in our group. To be clear, this was an unprovoked attack. Hopefully management takes a hint from these multiple reviews of assault.

This is a busy place, but I can see why. The tables were very high quality and I really enjoyed spending 2 hours playing pool there.

Great spot. Solid bar. It's pricey--$18 an hour for a table. But it's a solid poolromm and a great place to play.

The restaurant has three floors. We sat on the main floor in the middle, overlooking the lower downtown streets below. The vibe was casual and cheerful. We sat at a table near the bar. The bartender initially provided menus and took our drink order. After that, we had to approach the bar to order food and get our check. It wasn't crowded enough to let them off the hook for this, so I provided feedback to the manager on duty, on our way out. He provided us with some cards for complimentary draft beers.

I checked in with the host and was told there was going to be a 15-20 minute wait. We arrived shortly after the game was over so luckily people were leaving. The bar seating was full. The atmosphere was loud and lively. They have multiple TVs around the bar and in the standard dining area. We were seated fairly quickly with the 15-20 minute window. I ordered the Wynkoop bison burger. I was visiting Denver and heard about the different meats Denver has for burgers such as elk and deer so I decided to try something different than the normal beef patty and ordered the bison burger. The Wynkoop burger has a natural colorado bison patty, smoked gouda, pickled onions, green chili mayo, and arugula all on a brioche bun. The burger had a sweet taste to it due to the brioche bun. I asked for it medium well and it wasn't pink and wasn't overcooked. Some places when you ask for medium well the patty ends up being burnt and tough which I don't like. The patty was tender. The combination of flavors was good. It had green chill mayo on the bun. Denver is known for green chili and I wanted to try some green chile dishes. It was tasty. There were options for the sides for coleslaw or fries. I opted to sub for a salad instead for an extra $2. Our group also ordered the green chili fries and it was a big portion. The fries were smothered with white queso, pork green chili, cotija, lime crema, and cilantro. The green chile queso addition was interesting as there were chunks of green chile and tomatoes pieces that added a bit of acidity to the fries but with the queso it was delicious! The service was good and the waiter checked in with us multiple times. Overall, I would recommend this place for the burgers. The food was good and it was comfort American food. If you like sports this place is great to watch sports with friends and is good for groups which is an added plus!

It's divey, has a pool table and a jukebox. You're here for a good time, so drink up. Cheap beers in bottles and a really nice selection of whiskies. The fact you have the option to order a made to order, hand crafted cocktail or a cheap beer resonates with me. My only qualm with this place is that is usually takes me a million years to get a drink. I've been here half a dozen times and I don't know if it's just bad luck on my end, but I've had to wait at the bar for a long time. The bartenders work hard and sometimes are dealing with rowdy patrons, I've just been skipped a handful of times. Won't stop me from coming back, just my experience! For cocktails, you can't go wrong with their house old fashioned or negroni. Or even their Japanese whiskey highballs. They do have a rotating selection of house cocktails too that I've had previously and enjoyed. For beers, I love that they have Coors Banquet, Hamms, Lone Star and Miller High Life for $4. They also boast some great local ales for only a few bucks more. Great neighborhood bar. Should be in the rotation more often. Bring your crew and saddle up for a fun night at High Lonesome.

The bartender (maybe manager) greeted us and shared it's the oldest bar in Denver, which was cool to learn. The restaurant was pretty dim but it was late and we didn't mind. It's a small quaint space but oddly perfect. We were there for quick bar food, but decided to also order drinks. We had an espresso martini and a cosmo. Both great options. We also ordered a grilled cheese with tomato and lettuce, combo fries & onion rings, a cheeseburger and buffalo chicken tenders. The food comes out on a carrier that also houses many condiments and essentials. It was a very old style presentation and we enjoyed that. Everything was delicious and service was quick. Anyway, my wife and I went with my intentions fully on the burger. First of all, service. Miguel greeted us as our bartender and gave us perfect service throughout our visit. There is an art to being there whenever you need something without being intrusive, and that is what he did. Thanks, Miguel, you elevated our experience. I had the Fremont Lush IPA, which I know well and glad that they had, and my wife had a very solid Bloody Mary. And she is picky. We both loved out burgers. I asked about the one go-to, and he said the JCB. I got it double style, with bacon and swiss. Loved it. It goes on my list of best burgers personally, and I will definitely be back for it. We each got a side of fries, and we probably over-ordered on that-our bad. The Cajun aioli to dip them in was fantastic. I hope their kitchen creates a house-made hot sauce before I come again. Let's talk about the presentation. Loved that also. Some might be hesitant about a burger still in paper wrapping, but that made it genuine, basic, and wholesome. The rest of the presentation was ridiculously awesome too. You get a whole cart of pepperoncini, relish, pickles, and onions. Awesome. We also loved the vibe of the place. Sort of dive-y, and you could also call it...cozy, I guess. Right up our alley, but you do you. The quality of our burger, the exceptional service by Miguel, and the side presentation for the burger earns this place an easy 5 in my book. I highly recommend, and see you there...
